There is a promenade along the sea just a short walk from the inn, and you can see the superb view of Halong Bay up close without having to take a boat. Thanks to the host booking a bus back to Hanoi for me, I was able to return to Hanoi at a low price.

The place was very fine. The room is large. The girl in the Cafe downstairs was very friendly and helpful. She also helped us book a day tour. The prices are very fair, we talked to other participants on the same excursion and they sometimes paid a lot more for the same thing. Communication was mainly through Google translators and it worked well. The windows are a little too old and you have heard the noise from the street very much. The value is great. If you stay 1-2 nights in Halong Bay - clear and cheap recommendation.
