What a great find! Margie was an excellent host! Very good with communication and extremely accommodating. The property is very well maintained and the house was very homely with 2 great entertainment areas, a swimming pool for the summer, and as an alternate, multiple fireplaces for a snug winter getaway accompanied with an oxtail potjie and glühwein. The kitchen was very well stocked with all the appliances / utensils you'll need, bathrooms modern with clean extra floor towers for water run off , luxury soaps and shower jells, and bedrooms were well laid out. There's a pool table, dart board and several board games to keep everyone entertained. Attention to detail included, a welcome bottle of wine, informative booklet, chocolates on the beds, packs of tissues for all the occupants, and chalk for the pool queues. There is a short drive to the marina where club access is included, with picnicking spots and watercraft launching facilities available. Highly recommended!!!

What a wonderful venue especially as we could moor our boat and JetSki after a fun day’s activities on the river. The house had everything we needed.

This was our second visit to Frans place and it was as if we returned to family. Fran and Rick are extremely accommodating superhosts and we will definitely recommend them and their place without any reservations. Frans is our go to home away from home. We are completely spoilt at the lodge and we are looking forward to our upcoming 3rd visit. Thank you for sharing your place with us Fran, we love you guys, see you soon.

Beautiful place on the dam, was so easy to walk down and get on with some fishing. Lovely spot, the bedrooms are separated and have their own bath/shower and toilet with a communal kitchen and lounge. The TV has been updated and the dstv was a bonus for the kids. A homely environment with the requisite requirements. Thanks Wendy.

Nice accommodations for our group of 6 with clean modern bathrooms and equipped kitchen. Great open garden and lovely stoep and braai.

The tent was very neat and clean. I had a blast in the well equipped kitchen. I felt like a master chef. The view from the deck is out of this world. There are so many birds around. We loved that the dogs greeted us everyday, one of them even had a sleep over one night. We nicknamed the river, birds & frogs Natures Radio. My husband tried fishing but the river came down very strong, the barbers in the evening made up for that tho. We planned our days around fishing for barbers at night. Ask Ansie about the barbers when the light comes on!!! What an experience. Not to be missed. I don't at all have green fingers but noticed how pretty the gardens are all around the farm. We will definitely be back, as regularly as possible. If you need to reset your soul, Zeekoe Lodge is the destination. Don't know how Ansie is doing it, but all the mosquitos were on silent 🤣 they were there as expected on the river but I did not hear one of them.

The views are spectacular and the river is breathtaking the location is excellent as we were surrounded by nature at its best.The accommodation is clean & it is well - maintained and we were wonderful welcomed by the owners & such friendly staff ,just needs little more family activities otherwise it's value for your money,we definitely will be going back to this amazing place.

This is perfect for when you want a place to sleep after a night out. Chike is very friendly and welcomed us with a smile.

Apartment is stunning, beautiful views and it has all the necessary crockery. They also have ice buckets and plastic wine glasses which can be used at the picnic area which the general public also has access to. So you can save yourself some money!

Bernice’s place was absolutely perfect for us. The whole place is very spacious with a brilliant kitchen and modern bathroom. The back garden area is perfect for someone looking to have breakfast outside or even a little home workout. Lastly, the host is super friendly and extremely helpful. Whenever we had any questions she got back to us right away and gave recommendations for whatever we needed. We would highly recommend this place to stay and can’t speak highly enough of the host. We loved it there. It was peaceful and loved falling asleep and waking up with the sound of the river. We loved our stay there and would recommend this place for anyone looking for a tranquil weekend away.

We initially had a challenge with the area for the dogs as it was removed from our cottage ... HOWEVER Ilze really went the extra mile and plus to accommodate us.. we really had alovely stay..

We had a great weekend and we had lots of fun... the dam was full and my son loved the swimming pool. The units are clean and spacious. We will definitely go again.

Stayed at Anchorage for 3 nights as last minute booking. Everything was fully booked at Vaal Marina for 8 people accommodation as I left it to the last minute, so naturally I though since the Anchorage was still available it would be not so nice.......how mistaken I was. Everything, but I mean everything was excellent, and I could write much about it which would make this review too long to read, but The Anchorage is a lovely getaway with lovely surroundings. Had a sit-down dinner at restaurant which was long to prepare the food......but hey, no rush we were after all relaxing, the food was excellent, and good food takes time to prepare. The real gem of The Anchorage is not the place, although very beautiful with much to do and can't be faulted. The real gem are the people running it, from the ladies at reception office, Jaco the marketing manager to the owner Howard who are at all times available and extremely friendly and helpful. People that love what they do.
