Beachfront holiday rentals in Vaxholm Municipality

We spent 10 days in the house and had a wonderful time. The house is great! It is very quiet, it was super clean an nicely furnished. We used the Ferry to Vaxholm/Stockholm and the little beach a lot (each 10min walk). Clara gave good advices for the area and the house. We are very thankful for a great holiday!

The house is a real pearl in Stockholm archipelago, beautifully decorated which allows guests to understand the true living in this unique nature setting. The house is well equipped, with a spacious patio/deck for breakfast, lunch or dinner with brand new deck furniture. The house built in 1912, offers spectacular views from each room and is located next to a 1500 year old viking chiefs' grave shaped like a boat which gives a unique tie to the Scandinavian history. We experienced beautiful waterfront sunsets dining at the the dock house which offers charming overnight accommodations and has all the kitchen, dining/bbq equipment so guests can enjoy the dining at waterfront without running up to the main house. The sauna house is easy to use and guests can cool off stepping into the sea. For local excursions, the house is about 50 minutes drive to Stockholm old town. We thank the host Fredrik and his wife for a fantastic vacation in this spectacular Swedish nature reserve.

Wonderful place, we had an amazing holiday. Really close to central Stockholm but totally away from it at the same time. Amazing variety of water sports included. Perfect sunsets, wake up to an amazing view. Couldn’t recommend it more

Super cozy and nice accommodation in the archipelago, extremely nice and helpful host. A little tricky addition with your own boat over 7.5 meters, but it worked.

We came right before the season began, so things were extra quiet! The host met us at the bus stop which was a short walk away and VERY easy to navigate. He was so helpful when we wanted to go explore other islands and if something wasn’t in the rental space he got it for us! Also, I wish the states took note of FLOATING SAUNAS!!! That was such a dream!

I felt very comfortable with Per. The Seehütte is very simple but lovingly furnished. You have a fabulous view of the water and really have your peace there. It was perfect for me. If you come by ferry, the planning effort is a bit greater, as the boats only stop at the island a few times a day.

We fell in love with Marie’s home. It is a stunning island and a lovely spot for exploring Stockholm’s archipelago. A really special place. Communication was great. We swam every day. Marie helped us find a boat to hire which was very much useful for a more flexible schedule for visiting my family in Lidingö. We had our dogs with us and we enjoyed walks around the island and other walks in nature. Can’t wait to return next year! 🙏🏼

We’ve had an amazing stay with friends and toddlers. The house was perfect for cooking and social evenings. We had bad weather which means we did not enjoy the pool as we hoped to, but luckily we enjoyed the sauna with breathtaking views. Mikael was responsive and always helpful when we had questions. We stayed with 2 families and it felt like being home in Sweden. The lake and the pool were loved by the kids. We had a great time!

A very nice house. We took it very clean and ordered the final cleaning separately, which is highly recommended for the sizes of the house. The contact with Fredrika was exclusively online, always very nice. We were 4 adults and 3 children, but the 5 rooms with sleeping facilities were great. At least the two bigger beds were a little too soft for us, but that's a habit. Complete decor of the house, we didn't lack anything. Outside a nice little pool and a gas grill. It's only a 10-minute walk to the well-attended beach in the village, as well as to the bus stop. From there you can reach the center of Stockholm in 25 minutes. A shopping mall is close by too. We had a great stay and highly recommend the house.

We had a wonderful stay here as a family of 4 (2 teens). Everything is as described in this large comfortable home. We didn’t have a car so the location is fantastic for an archipelago and city holiday. Highlights - the sun filled lounge area with the hot tub and the peaceful garden - less then 10 min walk to beach area with diving boards and an amazing bakery/cafe; hot food truck and sweet shop - One evening we used the ToGoodToGo app for the bakery and picked up an amazing surprise bag for less than €5 - 5 min walk to a huge mall area with multiple grocery shops and restaurants. - We walked into Gustavsberg along a beautiful forest walk which took about 40 mins - 20 mins by bus into Stockholm (433 or 434 bus). It’s easy to miss the stop on the way back so best to get off at the shopping centre or the bakery. - A very minor point if it’s important to you, no hairdryer so bring a travel one!

Tomas was responsive and proactive. He made sure that we were familiar with the property and addressed any needs we had. The kitchen was well stocked with spices and cookware and eating utensils. The house was well decorated and provided a feeling of comfort. The home's design was fun and unique and the hot tub a perfect end for a busy day!

Eva and her family were very welcoming hosts. We had everything we needed and more during our stay at their beautiful and special place. We even enjoyed a bath in the pool. We had a lovely view from the terrace and the surrounding is also nice and green and with good restaurants. Thank you for having us!

Johan and Laila's beautiful house meets all the requirements. Super spacious and nicely located on the waterfront with running trail. We had a wonderful time thanks to the very good care of the hosts. Highly recommended!

Absolutely breathtaking scenery and amazing place! Can only recommend Connie’s beautiful retreat. We visited as a family with 3 little ones and loved it from first moment. Thx and will certainly come back.

We had the best time at Annika's beautiful cabin! Nestled on the islet of Storholmen it's the perfect place for a tranquil break. The ferry from Ropsten takes about half an hour on the way out to Storholmen sidra. The cabin is idyllic and had absolutely everything we needed. It's well laid out, warm and comfortable and Annika had clearly thought of everything you might possibly need for your stay. The upstairs mezzanine is where the beds are which were really comfortable and cosy and we slept really well. The steps may be a little challenging though for those with limited mobility but were no bother for us. We fell in love with the cabin and the island and enjoyed watching the bats in the evening and looking out over the tranquil waters at night. We went for a morning dip in the sea every day and were so sad to leave it all behind to resume our normal lives. Lotta’s place is without a doubt the nicest accommodation I’ve had on Storholmen so far. The cabin is small and very cozy, and you can feel the warmth and care in every detail. Communication was just right, and I was given my space – my privacy was respected. This allowed me to truly relax and unwind. The convenient connection to the ferry and to the city is a big advantage, making it easy to find a good balance between activity and peaceful quietness.

Gabriel’s was incredibly helpful, friendly and always responded very fast to any questions. He met us when we arrived on the island, showed us around the house and gave us lots of tips to island life. Stegasund is very beautiful, the perfect holiday escape. We settled in very fast and found life on the island such a treat between swimming off the jetty, tennis & walks. We even had the pleasure of chatting to a few of the locals. The house is beautifully designed and very homely to relax in. We rented Gabriel’s boat which I have to say was one of the highlights of the holiday and made us feel very authentic to the Archipelago way of life. In just a 5min boat ride you are over in Vaxholm which made getting supplies very easy. There is also plenty of lovely spots for lunch there too. For longer trips to explore other islands we used the public boats. I highly recommend Setusund & Gabriel’s stunning house. The Delahunty’s

As a family of four, we had a wonderful time in Madeleine's beautiful cottage! Her husband Michael picked us up by boat and then went shopping for groceries with us, including specialty recommendations; we couldn't have had a better start to the Christmas holidays. The house is exactly as described, as are the amenities. If we had any questions, we could always contact Michael or Madeleine. The view of the water is fantastic and the ferry ride to Stockholm is a highlight for the whole family. In short, we will be happy to come back and highly recommend this place!
