We really enjoyed our stay! Location was perfect! 2 minute drive from our whale watching excursion. The cottage was clean, comfy and cozy. The hot tub was also very well maintained and clean. I would definitely recommend staying here. Great place to have a nice relaxing stay.

This place was absolutely beautiful. We were fortunate the rain stayed away until late in the evening so we enjoyed the beautiful sunny day. Hit the town for a relaxing walk before retreating to the chalet for a nice bbq and drinks on the patio as we watched all the boats passing by on the water. The inside was immaculate and the hot tub was an amazing way to end the night. Our host was quick to respond to questions and we couldn’t have asked for anything better. Was a great way to spend a 1 year anniversary 😊

This is a great place to relax! Extremely quiet, spectacular view and plenty of space for a family of 4 to 6 to spread out and chill. The private beach is a nice added touch and Baddeck is only a 2 minute drive, but I wouldn’t walk there, cars drive a little fast down that road and there’s no sidewalk. Tyler was a great host, explained everything perfectly, right down to recommending water shoes for the private beach ( which we had). There’s also a nice listing of local places and lots of brochures so you can find stuff to do. It was ~25 degrees when we stayed and it gets nice and cool at night so not having A/C isn’t a problem. There are so many windows that open in so many directions, you’ll catch a breeze.

Beautiful house by the ocean with a stunning view; the pictures don't do it justice! Clean, quiet, private. Accurate listing. Located at the center north of Cape Breton Island, therefore convenient to explore west and east coast while staying in one place!

We had a wonderful time in Cheticamp. John was helpful for suggestions about hiking and restaurants. I would highly recommend his beautiful place.

Wow a great place to stay and you are right on Cabot’s Trail and Highlands. Park. House was beautiful just as described and even better than the pictures. Beds were so soft and comfortable, smart tvs, nice kitchen stocked with pots and pans, dinnerware and plenty of everything. This was a great place and we wanted to extend our stay it was that great!

I don’t have adequate words to describe our visit to this location; it was one of the most peaceful and beautiful places we’ve visited. The hosts, Darrell and Jocelyn, coordinate a wonderful home away from home and provide useful recommendations considering how remote the location is. There are enough supplies to make your stay comfortable and they provide a lot of information to ensure security of guests. If we ever have another opportunity, we would visit the wild north of Cape Breton based on this experience. We absolutely recommend this specific host and location if you are visiting the area. The house itself is well maintained with fantastic views. We had no trouble with two young children inside the house with its simple layout; just be watchful on the porch as the stairway is open. 1000% recommendation for the host and the area.

Keith’s place was perfect for my visit to the area. Very tidy, comfy beds, and a spacious place for me to relax after a day on the course. Attached to one of the best restaurants in the area. A great spot for a stay in Ingonish! Would recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at Ruth’s place in Margaree Valley—a beautiful, serene location just off the Cabot Trail and close to Cape Breton Highlands National Park. Easy drives to Egypt Falls, Cheticamp, and Ingonish. The house was well-equipped for our family of four, and the 3-season room was perfect for enjoying the outdoors while staying protected from bugs and weather. There’s a short walk to the river near the bridge. No cell service, but the Starlink WiFi worked great. Ruth was responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Heads up: gas stations are sparse and many close early without self-serve—when we visited, the only self-serve in Cheticamp was out of gas. Mosquitos and black flies were in full force, but bug spray (provided!) helped. Our kids loved the games and puzzles inside during rainy moments. Highly recommend to families looking to unwind in nature—we’d happily stay here again!

This is a wonderful authentic farmhouse very close to downtown Sydney but with great views of the water among rustling leaves. We chose it as one of our bases for Celtic Colours and it was ideal.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay here. We explored the area and completed lots of hikes near by. We visited the Co Op grocery store every day and made our food at the Airbnb. The kitchen had all the supplies we needed. We loved the view from the kitchen and living room area. We also enjoyed having the space upstairs as well as the separate space in the basement. The 3 bathrooms was a bonus!

Courtney’s place is lovely. It is right in the center of Baddeck and has everything you need to enjoy your stay.

Yet again, another enjoyable stay at Betty-Jo's lovely home in the nicest part of town. My wife and I have stayed at many BnB's in and around North Sydney over the past few years, and we feel Betty-Jo's is easily the best value for the money. Highly recommended.

This was a cozy place for our family of four in the heart of Cheticamp. It’s close to grocery, bakeries, and local restaurants, and we loved being on the water and so close to the Cabot Trail/National Park. Beds were comfortable, bathroom was clean, and the deck was relaxing. This definitely was a great place to stay for the activities we wanted to do in the area.

Great place to stay on the west side of the island, wonderful sunsets and a great view from the living room and loft bedroom.

What a beautiful place! We loved the cottage and its location was wonderful for our exploration of this part of Cape Breton. It was only about 40 minutes to Baddeck and 1:45 to Fortress Louisbourg. It was well equipped and spacious - perfect for the four of us. The loft was great for my 18 year old nephew who was up later than the rest and the other two bedrooms are at opposite sides of cottage - great for sleeping! Unfortunately, it was grey and rainy for most of our stay so we did not get to enjoy the patio much at all. It must be wonderful in the sunny weather, though! The screened in area was great (we did get an hour without rain one evening). There was lots of room for us inside to hang out during the rainy days and the big windows with the view of the lake made being inside not so bad! The property feels very private. Even though there is a trailer park nearby, we were completely unaware of it when at the cottage. Not much close by but be sure to eat at Charlene’s!
