Grover Getaway

TasminRating, 5 stars6 days ago
This was probably my favorite airbnb in recent memory. The tiny home was small but so well organized. Glenn and his partner had obviously thought through every detail while they lived there. That care and attention-to-detail also made them great hosts -- there was a stack of maps to help plan our trip, a well-stocked fire starter kit right next to the fire pit, and banana blueberry bread from a local store on the counter when we arrived. The location was stunning. We sat out both nights to watch the stars. And it was a quick drive to Torrey and Capitol Reef National Park. The only hiccup was when we couldn't find the address on google maps, but Glenn was quick to respond through the airbnb app.

Lacie’s place was a wonderful place to stay while enjoying Capital Reef park. Convenient, quiet, and clean place to stay. The kid friendly extras were a great benefit. Local bunny visited daily!

Unique and Romantic "Glamping" near Capitol Reef

AmiRating, 5 stars6 days ago
We loved the sheep camp. Lots of nice touches that make this place special. After going on hikes in Capitol Reef, this was the perfect place to end the days in. Still some wandering we could do in nature, watching chipmunks and birds we don't usually see, beautiful sunset, and stunning dark skies. The temperature was comfortable at night, good adjustable ventilation as needed, the bed is comfortable with memory foam, and we could stand up and easily have seating to change. Outside, we could build a little fire for hot dogs and smores, firewood is provided. It's glamping: like camping, but you don't have to set up anything, the accommodations are more comfortable and unique and perfect for western history buffs (my ancestors raised sheep), and there is a real bathroom dedicated to the sheep camp site a few yards away. There are other accommodations nearby, so you might have some friendly neighbors. There is the typical high country wind at night, secure the door from the inside.

Teasdale Plateau Capitol Reef

If solitude and peace is what you seek, you will find it at Willie’s. Some reviews are easy to write, others are difficult to articulate, Willie’s is the later because it was honestly that tranquil. I will say this though. I once spent an entire year watching every sunrise and sunset, whether it be on beach front property in Laguna Beach, or Park City, and one thing is for certain; I have never seen a sunrise like I did every morning at Willie’s. The home is elevated high on a mountain top, the entire home is made of windows with views in nearly every direction, but the master bedroom faces East, and at 5 am the sun rises and with the position of the home and elevation it felt as though I was laying in bed surrounded by the most beautiful desert sunrise, and of all the sunrises I have chased, seeking the most beautiful places to experience them in, I have never and I mean never experienced a sunrise like that. I won’t forget it.
