House holiday rentals in Weligama Bay

We (family of four with young kids) came across this house and loved it, but it didn’t have a bed for our one year old daughter, so we sent Vic a message and he went out of his way to find one. Great start! When we got there, the house was even better than the pictures give away: private villa on the quiet outskirts of Ahangama, but a five minute tuk tuk ride will get you to the town’s centre where all the restaurants and such are. Modern bedrooms, each with their own bathroom, nice kitchen and living room, beautiful pool, huge patio with a roof over it, monkeys in the trees in the morning etc. etc. I contacted Vic several times during our stay and always got quick replies with great advice - places to eat, tuk tuk drivers, surf coach and places to see. Would definitely recommend and hope to visit again myself some day!

The treehouse is an amazing place to stay for exploring the south coast of Sri Lanka. The location is very private and enclosed but still close to the towns of Unawatuna and Galle. The treehouse itself was very clean and had everything we needed to cook and even have a BBQ! The pool was a great size and depth with a cool rope swing. The hosts were very helpful and attentive, with a very friendly doorman. We wish we could have stayed longer as this was the highlight of our trip.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Tammy's property. The setting amidst the paddy fields was stunning, and we loved seeing the peacocks, monkeys, and diverse birdlife. Adding to the charm were the lovely dogs on the property, Unnabala and Suddhi. The property itself is amazing, but what truly elevated our stay was Charith, the caretaker. From the moment we arrived, his warm smile and positive attitude were so welcoming. His cooking was exceptional – every meal was delicious! Beyond that, his patience and willingness to help with anything we needed were truly remarkable. Charith's care and dedication made our trip so special. While the location is beautiful, it's Charith who would bring us back to this Airbnb without hesitation on our next visit to Sri Lanka. He is an invaluable asset to this property.

Beautiful villa with abundant space, verandah-style living, a great pool, and spotlessly clean. A short tuk-tuk ride away from Galle Fort and 10 minutes to the beaches of Unawatuna. The villa itself whilst in quite a busy part, enables a highly peaceful and relaxing holiday. We spent just over a week there and the caretaker (Fayas) went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, and the chef (Rizwan) cooked us numerous and varied breakfasts, allowing us to sample delicious traditional food we’d not had before. Check in and out during very early morning due to flight times were also accommodated. Overall we had a great holiday at the villa and would highly recommend.

Sanjeewa and the team were extremely friendly, professional and accommodating. The property is spectacular and is like taking a step back in time and very well maintained. The pool area was amazing and the chef did an amazing job for breakfast and dinner with an abundance of food for us. Would recommend this property to anyone. Thank you all so much.

Gads Villa is a truly magical place. The gardens are exquisitely landscaped, and the giant Velvet Apple tree is really a wonder to behold. The pool has a shallow section which is perfect for little ones, or for adults to lounge in. The kitchen is huge and had everything we needed (important when traveling with 4 youngsters!). The bathrooms are likewise huge and very prettily set out. Beds are comfortable and the fans were sufficient to keep us cool at night. The neighborhood is very quiet and safe, a few minutes tuk tuk ride into the main part of town. I personally found it very convenient to have yoga and a little spa within a few minutes walk. Secret Beach is also only a short walk away. Sahan and team were super helpful, and breakfasts were delicious. All in all a fabulous stay.

This villa is something wonderful. All the details are perfect, beautiful and sophisticated. The bedrooms are fantastic, the swimming pool is amazing, the garden itself is a gem. And the staff! The housekeeper Sasun with the other guys, runs the villa in à perfect way: they are available for every request, helpful and incredibly skilled! We had many meals at home and it was definitely better than at the restaurants! The position is really good. You can walk in the nature up to the main road, Matara road, where many small restaurants are, or ask the staff to call a tuk tuk. Galle fort is about 30' away! Stephen the owner, is promptly reacting and helpful. Despite the weather in June, to stay in villa Vador has been an amazing experience and I can't wait to come once again! Thanks to Stephen and the staff for having made my holiday so relaxing!

Lovely stay. Location is outstanding, straight onto the beach. Sashi - the house keeper - is as kind as it gets and cooks amazing dishes. We celebrated our daughter's birthday and she came with a gift, not only for the birthday girl but also her sister... So kind.

We had a nice time. The garden is huge and the house was clean and we had a lot of space as a family. You can explore the surroundings on foot. Restaurants, supermarkets and the beach can be explored on foot. A great neighborhood and most importantly a very calm one. We felt very comfortable and would come back anytime. The family even made us breakfast in the morning, which was incredibly delicious. We are very sad to have to go and keep the house in beautiful memory . See you soon , Anna and Tim

I recently had the pleasure of staying at an Airbnb hosted by Ruwan, and it was a delightful experience. Ruwan was an extremely warm and welcoming host, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The location was fantastic, within walking distance to both the beach and Coconut Tree Hill. The lush green property felt almost like staying in a forest, offering a serene environment. The breakfast provided was very good, with a variety of delicious options. The room was a bit small, but it didn't affect our comfort during the stay. Additionally, Ruwan offers to help plan activities in and around Mirissa, which could add a lot of value to your trip. Despite the minor detail about the room size, the stay had its positive aspects, particularly Ruwan's hospitality, the excellent breakfast, and the beautiful surroundings. This Airbnb is a great choice for travelers looking for a welcoming host and a beautiful location.

Wowowow! What an absolute gem!!! We loved staying here, it’s so nature-oriented & the location is perfect if you’re looking for somewhere to chill that’s within walking distance of everything ☺️ Lara is also the most generous and welcoming host, I cannot recommend this place enough ❤️

Awesome place to stay, relax and spend time with the groups. Has full kitchen with all the necessary vessels, cutlery, utensils. The House id equipped with all the necessary stuff right from board games to smallest knifes and felt like home.

We loved staying at Shaun’s villa! Out of the eight places we stayed in during our trip to Sri Lanka, this was our favorite. The location, the villa, and being so close to the ocean was just what we needed. The villa was clean, well looked after, and felt really welcoming. Whenever we had a question, we got a quick and helpful reply, which made everything super easy. We also really liked the great food just across the street, which we could easily order to the villa. And being close to The Doctor’s House was a big plus – fun weekend market and tasty dinners in the evenings. We’re a family of four and felt super comfortable here. Would definitely recommend and hope to come back one day!

The place was fantastic. Exactly as the photos show and we had a wonderful stay. So spacious and clean. It was a bit hard to access as we were travelling by car, I would recommend taking a tuk tuk instead as it would be much easier. Overall fab time :) thank you

Thank you very friendly host for your thoughtful support. In the house, there are full necessary utensils that he has prepared, including shampoo, shower gel, toothbrush, and kitchenware. The house is modern designed and he cleans very clean, is the cleanest place in Srilanka I know, cleaner than a lot of hotels. He also prepared water, cake at the fridge and free. The house was even more beautiful than the photos. We had a very nice stay there. The host was very helpful and gave us everything we needed. He also gave us the number of a tuktuk driver near us for when we wanted to go to the town of Unawatuna or Galle Fort. Thank you for everything!

We enjoyed staying in this wonderful accommodation in welligama! Its a very nice house very close to the beach! We had our own kitchen! the bathroom was clean and good! Access to a washing machine. And the bedroom/Livingroom was very cozy! I love the red curtains! I would recommend this hostage to everyone that wants to stay in between welligama and mirissa!

Wow, I am speechless but I will try my best to put into words my experience at ilukhouse , the moment I walked in the property it felt grounding, Noor welcomed me and Indikas explained to me everything and after that I settled. The craftsmanship of the cabin is incredible . It is super clean despite it being mostly outdoors . The hosts are super nice and super attentive and helped me with everything I needed, although I was solo, they made me feel at home . They made sure I felt safe at the place by attending a neighbor if I needed anything or if I felt insecure. The sounds of the different birds and nature was very calming and peaceful especially at night . Such a wonderful place to stay at and it will definitely be my go to place when visiting Weligama. Special thank you to Noor and Indikas , and Sujith the tuktuk driver who I highly recommend for anyone, he made me feel very safe and came to me wherever I was and took me back and forth from and to ilukhouse. Thank you .

We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb in Sri Lanka and we were a group of 6 people. The property was exactly as described—clean, spacious, and beautifully maintained, with a great pool that made our trip even more relaxing. The location was peaceful and perfect for a getaway. What truly made our experience exceptional was with the host Supun. He was incredibly helpful throughout our stay and went above and beyond when we accidentally left behind a wallet. He not only found it but also arranged to have it couriered back to us—something we’re truly grateful for. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Sri Lanka. Great property and an even better host!

The place is really nice and looks just like the photos. Hot water, good A/C, fast wifi, working kettle and gas cooker, and the bed is super comfy. The host organised for my laundry to be done, and was very good at communicating. The only thing I would say is the location is a bit far away from the beach and centre of Weligama, so if you don’t have your own bike, it’s hard to get around, and also hard to get food as there aren’t many places to eat within walking distance. Overall good stay.

What an amazing stay! We felt right at home with such friendly hosts, offering us everything we needed to feel comfortable. The room, kitchen and office has everything we needed to work for a week, enjoying a peaceful stay watching the monkeys and animals go past on the balcony. Will absolutely come to stay again!
