Holiday rentals with a kayak in Wood County

The best Airbnb I have stayed in. So many amenities like records and a record player. It is super relaxing listing to the night critters next to a camp fire. I booked this trip to get away from downtown Dallas, it gave me everything I need. They own an antique store in Winnsboro where all guests get a discount. Such great living out here, will 100% be back. THANK YOU!

This was the perfect house for our families 5 day vacation. Linda goes above and beyond to make you comfortable. Extra amenities in the bathroom. Extra supplies in the kitchen and more. My husband loved walking to the dock and catching fish with the grandkids. I cooked 4 of the five days and it is a great kitchen with new appliances and cookware. I highly recommend staying here

My husband & I brought both our families out here for our wedding weekend. It was amazing. With two houses, it was perfect for both families to have plenty of space . There was pool, pickleball, volleyball and badminton. We always had lots to do. We enjoyed being so close to the water. It was a wonderful weekend and I hope to bring our families back out here one day.😊

Lisa was very responsive when needed. The house is very clean and cozy. There are multiple boat ramps within a few miles. I’m not 100% positive there was not power at the dock but I couldn’t find a place to plug in the boat after daily use. But no harm… we enjoyed our stay very much!

Our visit was spectacular! Everything about this spot is peaceful, rejuvenating and worth every penny. The home was clean and inviting. The yard welcomed us out every morning to sip coffee. Watching the deer roam was a plus! It was a perfect place to spend time with family. We went to Tyler State park for a swim, enjoyed the community pool and community gym. We were able to enjoy a fire night (when it wasn’t raining) and had a blast sitting at her table playing games. Everyone slept so well and left feeling refreshed. I can’t recommend this place enough. Thank you, Natasha, for sharing your space so we could create a little family magic!

Wow! This is such an oasis in the heart of beautiful east Texas. The home was cozy and sweet. The lake was gorgeous. My family loved the boat house dock. Lots of fishing and lots of use of their kayaks. Thank you Toni! Jimmy

I needed a place to just unwind and relax for a couple of days. I was looking for a place that was quiet, peaceful, surrounded by nature, scenic, and go fishing! This place was all of the above and then some. (There's also a very nice golf course just down the street) Mike and Sheryl make you feel right at home. They are both very friendly and kind. They kept their fridge stocked with drinks and breakfast foods. There is also a coffeemaker, microwave, and toaster in the common/kitchenette area. I even caught my biggest catfish off their brand new dock! (5lbs). I will definitely be back for another stay. I highly recommend staying at Mike & Sheryl's lake side house.

The home was absolutely incredible—spacious, spotless, and tucked away in a beautiful, private setting with plenty to do nearby. Sherry was an outstanding host—communicative, helpful, and incredibly understanding. This AirBnB had everything you could possibly need or want, plus a few thoughtful extras you wouldn’t even think of. I genuinely have no complaints. The only minor hiccup was finding the right house at first—the side facing the street wasn’t the front entrance, which threw me off a bit. But the locals were amazing and really helped us out, even sharing info on local events. If you’re looking for a peaceful lake getaway, this place is a hidden gem—and for the price, it’s hard to beat. I’d absolutely come back!

This was our first AirBnB stay and was made last minute. We needed special accommodation for Truck/trailer parking. Sharon was very responsive to messages, even very last minute ones, had accommodations available, and even met us by the entrance when we got there to make sure we got to the cabin/parking easily. Great experience all the way around! Definitely recommended!

We can’t say enough about this place. It was just what we needed for rest and relaxation. We are Airbnb hosts ourselves and really needed a close little weekend getaway. It definitely fit the bill. We will most definitely be back.!!!

Beautiful house and balcony has a great view. My husband and son had great bonding time fishing off the dock. And if your a early riser sit on the dock with coffee and watch the sun rise its beautiful

Took my gbabies for a night little pricey for one night yet worth it, with a kayak and 3 seat boat, beautiful place, fish were biting, they were so thrilled and didn't want to leave!! I will definitely do this again!!
