My cozily furnished house with furniture from India is in a quiet street with no cars. The front is by the water, where you can spot ducks, birds and herons. At the back you have a view of the greenery and you are very quiet. It is also suitable as a retreat & artist house as you sit quietly and yet very close to the shops & people if you want to look that up. It's like a "nature cottage", but in a urban area. The energy of the house is calming.

We had a very nice night on the boat, the surroundings are fantastic, quiet and full of nature. We especially loved the many birds. The boat is exactly as described, with a comfy bed and a well-equipped kitchen. We were very warmly welcomed and felt completely comfortable. We will be happy to come back!

I had an amazing stay! Teddy and his wife were very friendly and accommodating, and greeted me with traditional Dutch snacks and some fruit when I arrived. They also recommended places to visit around the area and restaurants with good food. The boat was cozy and charming, as well as tidy and very clean. The location was great, as it’s not far from the train station so it’s easy to take the trip into Amsterdam. I really enjoyed my stay, and would love to stay here again next time I visit the Netherlands!

I stayed at Tanja's place for 6 weeks and I can only recommend it! It's the coziest place I've found so far in the surroundings of Amsterdam, immediately felt at home. The view out of the living room is amazing, on the terrace you are sitting right next to a channel and can immerse into nature. Yet, with the bus you are in the center of Amsterdam within only 20 minutes... Tanja is a great host, always helpful and responsive! She even offered to use their kayaks to explore the waterways. I actually just booked another stay at the place!
