(Only two people can stay) (Breakfast is not provided) (Airport pick-up service is not provided) (Please note that this is a wooden house and is not soundproof) Located in a small alley in the heart of Chiang Mai Ancient City. I have incorporated my collection of antique furniture into every corner of the space. The house will suit those who like to experience and cherish the traditional Thai way of life. (Picky people should beware.) This is an old house. Unlike big city apartments, it's not a hotel. Again, please don't choose here if you're a nit picker) 10 minutes walk to the main attractions, restaurants, cafes and night markets of the ancient city. (For example, 10 minutes walk to Wat Chedi Luang, 10 minutes walk to Saturday Night Market, 10 minutes walk to Sunday Night Market. 18 min walk to Tha Phae Gate. 10 minutes drive to Chiang Mai University, 7 minutes drive to Nimman Road) The house has a bedroom, a small living room, a semi-open air lounge area, and a private bathroom. In addition to your private space, there is another house in the front yard with antique furniture I collect in the living room, and a small courtyard full of plants.

My family and I loved the place. It was exactly as shown in the listing. Had a power outage when we arrived, kind of common in Chiang mai, but the host was incredibly responsive and she handled the issue well although she was out of town. Location wise, right opposite are 7/11 and mini Lotus, 5-10 mins to the nearest Big C and Makro. Close to the airport but far enough as we couldn't hear the planes Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely book it again for our next visit.

The little wooden house is wonderful. The Ratana family is very hospitable. We spent three dreamy days in Chiang Mai. There were also two cute little dogs. We picked the mangoes from the tree right outside the door and enjoyed the huge and beautiful courtyard. We will definitely come back and stay for a longer time!

Probably a special fate for us to stay at Moon and Hank's country cottage, which was the biggest highlight of this trip.Self hire car drives past, very good find with clear signage.After going in, it is like a cottage in Tao Yuan Ming Poetry, and I think the scene in Taohua is no more.Clean kitchen and bathroom with a cozy bedroom as well as beds. Moon prepares a super hearty Asian breakfast every morning and comes over from time to time to show us the spices from the yard, the seeded fruit as well as the super big snails in the pond.Moon and family also took us to a Bushkund event in the opposite temple, which was a special experience.For leaving, very reluctant, I hope to have the opportunity to stay here next time and experience the most relaxing and comfortable Chiang Mai life.May Moon and Hank be safe and happy and trust we will see you again. Included: Surrounding is the lively area of Hangdong, next door is Highway 108, there is big C Hangdong Market, shopping and dining places such as Ole.There is also live shrimp market not far, you can buy fresh Rochi shrimp as well as torn crabs, very fresh, meat quality (reference: a box of shrimp made + a box of crab totaling 490 baht).Black Forest, an internet-famous restaurant, is 6 km away Entertainment is located at night zoo, the royal park is very close, next to it as if there is an elephant camp.Go to Suthep, Chiangmai University side about 14km, half an hour by car Transportation is recommended, there are few cars around, it is good to drive, and the yard is easy to park, parking is also free in most places in Thailand, shopping mall and supermarket parking lot is convenient.If not driving, try calling grab

We cannot say enough about how generous and kind Wat & Boom are. They did so much for us, including bringing us eggs, farm produce, and breakfast treats, spending hours teaching our teenagers to harvest and prepare sugarcane juice and fresh coconut, showing us around their farm, and taking one of us to the hospital after a (self-inflicted) injury. The farm is beautiful and peaceful - we enjoyed this haven in nature as a travel break. We rode the provided bikes to the temple, village shops & restaurants, a cute coffee shop and around the area. We can also highly recommend the "Banthi Tour" with Mr P. (search on Tripadvisior) for a full day village experience about 15 minutes away. Staying at the farm feels a bit like glamping, with the downstairs patio, kitchen and 2 bathrooms open to the outside, and a comfortable bedroom upstairs with fans and good mosquito protection. Wat & Boom, we would like to thank you for a magical experience!
