Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Zanzibar Archipelago

Haben uns ab dem ersten Moment sehr wohl gefühlt, Ijob ist ein sehr sympathischer, hilfsbereiter Mensch, der seinen Platz liebevoll gestaltet hat. Der wunderschöne Strand ist nur 5 Gehminuten von der Unterkunft entfernt. Dort gibt es unter anderem das schöne, sehr leckere Restaurant Evergreen, in dem man 10% erhält wenn man im Cozy Bungalow untergebracht ist. Können die Unterkunft absolut empfehlen und hoffen das wir es schaffen eines Tages wieder zukommen. Danke für die schöne Zeit bei dir lieber Ijob!

We loved loved loved our stay at Wakushi house. Rebecca and Amani were so helpful and sweet people to be around and their place is just amazing. It is simply beautiful and very airy which is important on such a hot island. But it was the little details that stood out- fresh flowers, self-colored towels and handmade soap (which you can also purchase as a souvenir). Rebecca was also super helpful to arrange some trips and even took me to her yoga class. This might have been my best Airbnb-find ever!

The house was beautiful and modern (with fresh fruit on arrival), Rainer is readily available for any queries, Paolo was an incredible help and 15 minutes from the beach. However, this is in a rural part of Zanzibar but all in all our stay was fantastic in Rainer's home.

Our group of 5 was comfortably accommodated and spent so much time in the beautiful open treehouse upstairs. Even during the rain we were kept nice and dry upstairs. We enjoyed the food made by the private chef and all the staff were very accommodating and responsive! Visits from the dogs on the property were such a lovely addition. We felt very at home and would love to come back sometime, especially during another season when the swimming is better. Bonus - the sunsets from the gazebo around the corner from the beach were spectacular. Make sure you take advantage of the beautiful grounds and walks around the area!

Simone was een geweldige host! Reageerde super snel. Saïd haalde ons van het vliegveld en stond altijd paraat. Mtumwa poetse geweldig! Brandschoon. Bedden werden elke 4 dagen heerlijk verschoond. Bij uitval van electriciteit en water was er een generator. Fijn! Strand voor de deur niet echt schoon, maar klein stukje lopen en je hebt een fijn strand. In huis een info map met allerlei tips voor uitstapjes. Je kunt de hulpzame Saïd als chauffeur vragen, of iemand anders. Kinderen uit de buurt spelen voor de deur op het strand. Wij hebben er van genoten! Zet om 17.30 je stoel op het strand en kijk naar de visserbootjes die met hun vangst terugkomen. Het huis heeft een heerlijke veranda met eettafel en stoelen, waar je kunt ontbijten etc. Wij hebben een heerlijk verblijf van 4 weken gehad en danken Simone voor de goeie communicatie! Tip: neem eea voor de kinderen mee. Ze zijn echt arm.

Das Anwesen ist super schön. Durch den grossen Garten hat man seine Privatsphäre und ist trotzdem in der Nähe von Restaurants und Aktivitäten. Am besten war das Aussenbett ❤️ mit einem wahnsinns Blick über Strand und Ozean. Wir haben viel Zeit auch dem Balkon verbracht und einfach genossen. Rama und Tatu haben sich liebevoll um uns gekümmert und bei Fragen sofort reagiert 😊 Für alle die gerne etwas Ruhe haben möchten aber trotzdem mitten drin sein möchten absolut empfehlenswert

Mein Aufenthalt war einfach großartig! Die Unterkunft war makellos sauber und genauso schön wie auf den Fotos – man hat sich sofort wohlgefühlt. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich Emmanuel und Kamada, die Gastgeberin und unser Liebling Massai. Sie waren unglaublich freundlich, zuverlässig und immer erreichbar, wenn ich Fragen hatte. Ihre herzliche Art hat den Aufenthalt noch angenehmer gemacht. Ich kann ihre Unterkunft jedem wärmstens empfehlen und würde jederzeit wiederkommen!

Casa di Lilli är en pärla! Vår vistelse i Elisabettas vackra hus överträffade alla våra förväntningar. Läget är fantastiskt! Det är ett riktigt strandhus med en underbar altan och fantastisk vy över strand och hav. Ett perfekt ställe där vi kunde varva ner, koppla av och bada i det underbara havet. Huset är vackert och genomtänkt inrett, väl omhändertaget och mycket rent. Bra kök och köksredskap om man vill laga egen mat. Flera bra och trevliga restauranger finns precis bredvid. Under hela vistelsen blev vi oerhört väl omhändertagna av Theresa, en underbar kvinna som gjorde rent och fint för oss och alltid fanns tillgänglig om vi behövde något, tack för din omsorg! Ett stort tack till Abdul för din hjälp att arrangera saker för oss och fixa det vi behövde hjälp med, samt trevliga och informativa samtal! Tack Elisabetta för att vi fick bo i ditt underbara hus och för en genomgående mycket god kommunikation! Vi önskar att vi någon gång kommer tillbaka till detta paradis. Tack!

I had a verry nice stay at Arsheen's. The location is perfect in the hearth of Stone Town. She was verry helpful and so was Mushtaq.

The place was absolutely amazing and as advertised in the photos. Ann-Sofie was also very quick to respond and super helpful at all times. The place was spotless and was the perfect getaway we needed. I would definitely recommend this place to others!

I enjoyed my week long stay at Petra’s apartment. It was very comfortable and Petra was so kind - always proactively checking in and making sure I have everything I need for the stay. There is housekeeping every other day and laundry service available which was literally done in a couple of hours - wow! She even arranged an airport pick up and drop off at a reasonable price! Truly an amazing host. I did have some issues with cockroaches in the flat and the internet - very patchy but got 5G speeds through a local Yas SIM card instead so could work without any disruption. A note for light sleepers - the local mosque is just outside the window, so ear plugs are a must. Would highly recommend and stay again. Thanks again for hosting me, Petra 🧡

Incroyable séjour dans cette magnifique résidence, et que dire de la sympathie de Noor, sa réactivité tout est top, l’appartement est super bien aménag, les chambres spacieuses et illuminé. Je recommande à 1000% 😌

Absolut schöne Unterkunft. Die Galerie ist etwas sehr besonderes und die Umgebung sehr ruhig und sicher. Markus hatte viele Tipps auf Lager und er hat alles organisiert, das ich nachts einchecken konnte. Ich bin sehr dankbar dass ich so sanft landen durfte in meinem ersten Aufenthalt in Afrika. Danke Markus! Ich freue mich schon meine Reise bei dir abzuschließen.

O imóvel é super recomendado, fica em um condomínio muito lindo e tranquilo, possui uma piscina maravilhosa, está a poucos metros da praias e ao lado possui comércio com supermercado e outros. Com ctz se voltar a pajé ficaremos lá. Recomendo sem ressalvas.

Brenda and Ire's place is a true home, not an apartment that is only rented out. Lots of quirky decor, very colourful, we loved it (family with two teenage daughters). The girls could just walk around by themselves in town, it is all very friendly. Comfy beds and shower. The rooms were a bit hot in January, but manageable with the extra fans provided. Ire, Omar and Salum were very helpful and kind. Brenda wasn't around, but provided timely and extensive communication ahead of our stay. We have been coming to Stone town since 1994; and even with the mass tourism now firmly established on Unguja, Stone town somehow manages to keep its own spirit and this place reflects that spirit. Great stay, we were very happy to come here.

Nice apartment close to the beautiful beach. The hosts are very helpful with everything. And the apartment comes with the cutest dog.

Fumba Town is a very nice place to stay: close to the beach and not far from Stone Town and the airport. The apartment is very neat and with tasteful furniture and good facilities like a washing machine and vacuum cleaner. An umbrella came in handy too :-) because it was the rainy season. Kwetu kwenu beach club is nearby and chill with amazing sunset views. Highly recommended, the apartment and the town.

Abdulla was so helpful, generous and kind, it was great to hear a bit about the family history of the building too - we enjoyed our short stay! Thank you!

Great place to live, very beautiful area, big pool, and delicious coffee in the recreation area

I can't say enough great things about this place, and if we're ever lucky enough to return to Paje we will absolutely stay here again! The place is an apartment in what is really more like a gated community but it's also super close to everything so it's the best of the both worlds - We loved having the pool, communal working space, cafe, parking for our rented scooter, and laundry available and felt super safe because of the security. It was also really nice having a real space to make our own for the week, with a living room + tv, kitchen, and extra bedroom. The beach is a short walk away and there are tons of restaurants on the main the street that are actually better and cheaper then the beach restaurants. If you're only in Paje for a night or two and want to stay steps away from the beach or be right in the middle of the party scene, this might not be the place for you, but we saw a friends room at one of the beach clubs/hotels and were so happy we were staying here instead :)

Wir können die Unterkunft nur empfehlen! Auch wenn man mittig von Jambiani und Paje liegt, finden sich viele Restaurants in der Umgebung. Auch lokale Verkäufer und ein Supermarkt sind zu Fuß zu erreichen. Der Strand ist nicht weit weg, und abgesehen der Algen auch schön. Die Anlage selbst ist sehr grün, weshalb man viel Privatsphäre hat. Und durch zwei Pools ist es auch nie "voll". Das Frühstück war super, mit Obst, Ei, Saft und Joghurt und Paola war immer erreichbar für Fragen. Wir haben über Paola eine Tour und einen Shuttle organisiert bekommen und hatten auch sonst eine schöne Zeit in der Nyumbani Residence. Die Unterkunft selbst hat nur eine Klimaanlage im Schlafzimmer, weshalb manchmal der Wohnraum etwas warm war. Aber das hat uns nicht gestört. Besonders Highlight sind die süßen Katzen von Paola!

The staff was the best part of the stay. They were amazing, especially Dan. The property is next to the beach and in the middle of a village. Seeing the African culture and way of living mixed with paradisiac views…was riveting. Several descent restaurants in the area as well. Will definitely book again.

The host Janine and Ramia were very responsive, helpful and very friendly! The location is ideal for easy local and private transportation, Stone town and the Darajani souk were 15 min by local tuktuk, supermarket and vegetable stands within walking distance and the place is a well maintained, housekeeper was provided twice weekly. We enjoyed the patio in the evening, and the neighborhood was safe and friendly. We waked to a local beach to see the sunset a few times, it was less than a mile away at Medinat Al Bahar. The hosts had great suggestions for activities and we liked the convenience of being able to prepare meals at home over our 3 week stay! I would recommend this place highly as it was outstanding and the hosts were amazing! I would definitely stay here again!
