Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Zanzibar Archipelago

Fukuchani Inn is wonderful - the staff is pleasant, kind, and very willing to help with whatever you might need. Everyone was friendly and we had a wonderful stay. The Inn is right near the ocean, a quick little walk to a beautiful (albeit rocky) beach, and it's very close (about 15 mins) from Nungwi beach. And the pool is lovely! We stayed in the 2-bedroom Villa and it was perfect for my family, plenty of space and very clean. And of course I have to mention Daisy, the basset hound!! Such a friendly and good girl :) We would love to come back one day - overall, great stay :) Friendly reminder to travelers, Tanzania and Zanzibar often have power outages, and this includes A/C - but they only lasted a few mins each time, and the staff aims to provide as comfortable a stay as possible.

Vlad is an honest and responsible owner, he met us, gave us an introductory tour of the city, and told us about local features. The accommodation turned out to be better than in the photo, very spacious, clean, all the necessary items for living were present. Your property's patio includes a grill and a small gazebo. Shops and cafes are 1-2 minutes walk from your home. The most gorgeous beach is a 5-minute walk from the house. Liquor store 30 seconds away. Everything is comfortable and accessible. I highly recommend this property and this owner!

Stayed 9 nights with my husband (June 2025). Great communication. Got collected at the airport by Suileman (sorry if spelling is wrong!)..we had a hire car so husband followed us behind..would be very hard to find otherwise. We were greeted by Said and Josephine with fresh coconuts... the house is just like the photos. Absolutely stunning. Beautiful gardens and clean pool with incredible views. Incredibly clean..bedrooms were gorgeous as was the bathrooms. Everything you may need was included. Staff were so helpful. Said took my husband out to show us where to buy bread. There are 2 local supermarkets...very expensive and mostly sold UK products! Air-conditioning upstairs but not down..I was incredibly hot. There are fans but still humid and hot. All in all..a fantastic holiday. The beach by villa isn't the best..very rocky..but beautiful views from patio area. Watch out for bugs and lizards.. but that's Africa! A truly memorable holiday. We will return one day. Easy 5 stars.

2 weeks in this house was really peaceful and nice. The general manager Mudy and also Anna were very proactive. The house is situated in a very quiet environment and we could walk 15 minutes to Kendwa beach. Otherwise we took moto taxis. I really recommand this place

Our stay at this beautiful villa exceeded all expectations! The pristine, large pool and stunning property were truly impressive, but what really made our experience unforgettable was Barbara, the amazing host. She went above and beyond, even arranging our airport pick-up and drop-off, making everything so easy. Her warmth and hospitality made us feel right at home. Highly recommend staying here – it’s a perfect getaway!

This villa is a real gem! Perched facing the sea, it offers a breathtaking view - impossible to get tired of, we were literally hypnotized by the landscape. The pool with direct ocean view is a real treat, and access to a quiet and peaceful beach makes the place even more magical. A true haven of peace! Our room, facing the sea, was just splendid — waking up with a view, moments of serenity, perfect. A huge thank you to David, always super welcoming, available and responsive (you know we won't forget your help, really🙏). Special mention also to the chef: the dishes were delicious, and it's a real plus when you just want to enjoy the villa to the fullest without having to move. Great value for money! Zoe was an amazing host and really helpful with providing recommendations on where to eat and what to see on the island. Zoe was also very quick with her responses which made our stay at Zanzibar stress free. The property was spacious, with the showers having good water pressure and the beds being covered in mosquito nets. We had rented a car and we were able to park the car safely inside the gate. Overall we would definitely recommend Zoe as a host and her property as a great place to stay!

Hey! Amazing stay. Joseph is incredible - give this man a raise or a promotion. Beautiful location. Was a little toasty at times with there not being any aircon but for those with a bare minimum determination to survive, the fans work pretty good. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a well priced, central location to relax in and explore Paje from. Wish we made more use of the top level!

This property, located in Stone Town, was very clean, and the market was within a 5-minute walk, and it was very close to the sea, so the location was very good. The air conditioner worked very well, so I was able to stay comfortably.

This place is outstanding for a unique setting with lots of privacy in nature. As would be expected for such a remote setting, accessibility can be challenging. You need to follow numerous turns on unmarked small, paths. Using their provided guide from the ferry or airstrip is advisable. It is truly off road for a few kms, tight for a car and slippery and messy in rainy season for a motorcycle. If you can work with the accessibility challenge, we highly recommend the place.

Very nice place in a prime location right at the beach. Amenities and cleanliness are very good. The terrace, which is just a jump from the Indian Ocean at high tide, is unique. We have not seen any other accommodation in Jambiani that provides such private access to the sea. At low tide, you can still lie down in the existing hot tub😎 There was a power outage twice in the ten days we were on site, but this was promptly picked up by a generator set. Hakuna matata! What made our stay that bit special was Barau, the local manager. He lives in the neighborhood, is always available and a very helpful, friendly and accommodating person. He cares very well for his guests and reliably helps to organize all kinds of tours, whether on land or water. In addition, Barau and his wife Zuhura offer very good authentic food at absolutely affordable prices. So definitely try it!

We stayed for a few days. Excellent place directly on the beach. Really enjoyed our stay. Hope to be back soon.

Peku Peku is Paradise! You litterally live in the jungle, between beatiful trees and very Artistic gardens that Andrew made himself. The bar/restaurant/chilling area is the perfect antidote for our stressful life and attitude. Next year I will stay there at least one month. People are so kind there, and there are incredibly beautiful and secret spot that Andrew can suggest you. His nephew Iunus is a great chef who can teach you a lot of local plates, but most of all Iunus is a special, gentle and delicate person. Very rare to find people like them! A You will be child again feeding the bush babies directly from your hand!!

This home right on the shores of Jambiani Beach is a dream come true. We loved every minute of our stay. Kerstin was an excellent host and communicated exceptionally well. Sulei (the local caretaker) was very helpful and provided daily advice for activities, food, taxis, etc. Overall, this home is in an incredible location and was the perfect place to have a restful vacation.
