With a sun-soaked deck and a firepit for the evenings, you will never want to go inside. Due to the high altitude in this location, the driveway can have snow on it, particularly in winter and early spring. For this reason, an all-wheel-drive vehicle with good tyres are recommended. There may be occasions during heavy snowfalls when the driveway is inaccessible and you have to walk into the property. For this reason, winter guests should be physically capable of walking up steep driveway in snow. We will assist you in whatever ways we can. There may be occasions where wild weather, wind, and storms sweep through the valley. So if you are uncomfortable sleeping in a cabin during stormy weather please do not book this. PLEASE NOTE The Crest uses a booking system that sometimes displays the wrong (cheaper) nightly rate on Airbnb. If you select your dates the right price will come up. That price is correct. The Crest is available for long-term bookings (perfect for work, writing retreats or to see whether you'd like to live in a tiny house) during February, March & May only (minimum of 21 nights). The Crest has Starlink Internet and plenty of peace and quiet. Long-term stays are required to monitor their own solar, water & compost usage (we'll give you a crash course in off-grid living).
