A unique and wonderful house, on the edge of a freshwater lake and just a few minutes by foot to the beach. Set in a protected site of natural interest and rich in history and just a few minutes drive into the heart of the Charming harbour town of Paimpol in the Cotes D'Armor region of Brittany. The Famous Isle de Brehat and the Cote de Granit Rose are just a few miles away and there are lots of amazing points of interest all around the area. The house stands on the site of a 12th century watermill once owned by the Abbey de Beauport which still stands just 250 mètres from the house. The house is extremely comfortable and beautifully furnished with Wifi , an open fire and central heating. The garden consists of a lakeside terrace to the front,a decked terrace to the rear and a wooded garden. A lakeside barbecue area.A lawned garden and another decked lakeside terrace. Surrounding the property are woods to 3 sides which have numerous choices of walks,and the sea and the coastal path ( the GR34) which has one of its most charming sections starting right there just 200 mètres from the house. Interestingly the 'St Jacques de Compostelle' or 'St John's Way' walk hase one of its 3 Breton starting points at a granite shell monolith just 50 mètres et from out gates at the Abbaye de Beauport and the path runs through the woods behind the house. Its bright living room opens onto a terrace and garden to the south and a bay to the west that offers panoramic views of Beauport Cove and its abbey.
