Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Achilleio

We had a great time in Avgi’s apartment. The unit is very cosy, well equipped, and conveniently located close to the center of Pelekas. The highlight is the deck with a fantastic view towards the Agii Deka mountain. Pelekas is a quiet town with good infrastructure, a really nice bakery close to the apartment, a small supermarket, and a couple of good restaurants. In May, not many tourists were around. We came for hiking and explored all parts of Corfu. For this, Pelekas is a good base station with even the most Northern and Southern areas of Corfu not more than a one hour drive away. The hosts were very attentive throughout our stay. We highly recommend Avgi’s apartment!

The accommodation was superior to our expectations!!!!The location of the house is ideal for absolute relaxation without any noise, very close to the city of Corfu and all the beautiful beaches of the island!!The hospitality of Elliana and her mom was one of the best we have experienced so far!!They offered us everything from fresh eggs, milk, cereals, butter, jams, biscuits, coffees, fruit, etc.!!!The house is fully equipped!!!I wish all hosts were like that!!!We will definitely visit it again!!!!Elliana and Mr. Maria, we are grateful for everything, thank you very much!!!

From before we arrived Alexandros was communicative and helpful. The house is fantastic. To arrive & have food and drink in the fridge, and other treats, felt very special. They really have thought of everything and more. I can’t get over the view. Absolutely stunning. And to hear the sea lapping up on the shore. The walk to the almost deserted beach isn’t easy but well worth it. You definitely deserve a cold drink on return! (Sturdy trainers recommended). Clearest water I’ve seen for a long while. And you have to build at least one flat pebble tower. It’s quite addictive… Star watching (& bat watching). The cats are wonderful and we grew very attached to them. Alessandros’s parents are always on hand and have lots of useful info on where to eat, and places to visit. And they are very lovely too. We only had a short 5 day break, but feel refreshed & rested (& quite toned from that hill!). Would highly recommend without any doubts. If only everywhere one booked was as good as this.

Great place to stay, the apartment was bigger than expected. We also liked that there were all the necessities in the kitchen ans a washing machine. We especially enjoyed the private terrace with the jacuzzi. One of the sun beds was broken but got immediately replaced. Thank you so much:)

I recommend this Airbnb only if I am not in Corfu, because believe me, I will be ready to fight for this accommodation every time I go to Agios Mattheos! ;) More seriously, my stay was magical and without Angelina, I would not have had such a good time. Everything was so clean when we arrived, the apartment is a cocoon, a fully equipped cloud, there is EVERYTHING available. Everything was so comfortable. The host and his mom welcomed us so well that I will keep a touching memory of it in my heart. The village is as charming as its inhabitants. Everyone is smiling, and you really feel at home. Plan to have a car because it's quite remote, but between us, this village is 1000 times better than the city center. Paramonas Beach is less than 10 minutes by car, or about 40 minutes on foot, however the beauty and tranquility of this beach is worth the detour. I recommend everything 100%. Agios Mattheos will remain engraved in my heart.

the apartment was very clean and welcoming. we had everything we needed. I loved waking you to the sound of cockerals and the birds and the garden is beautiful, about a 6 minute drive to the closest beach. There is also a lake nearby. I had hired a rental car so we could get to other areas and this is wise as this apartment is set away from the busy areas. The area is so peaceful and Nick was very helpful when I needed help with my phones WiFi and data! Nicks Mum was also very helpful and around when we needed her. All in all we had a lovely stay, and I would highly recommend coming here. Hopefully we will come back next year :) Thanks Nick and his Mum, we had a lovely stay!

The apartment is located in a beautiful, old and very quiet village. In the center of the village there is a small bar/restaurant with tables on the village square and a very delicious and cheap culinary offer. The apartment matches the description and we felt very comfortable.

Villa Mia was everything and more!! The house was spotless, the location was excellent, and the view was breathtaking. We will be back! Thanks for an amazing week in Corfu!!

The apartment was even better than we were expecting. The rooms are all large with plenty of storage space. The main bedroom has a spacious balcony with beautiful sea views. The terrace was even bigger than the pictures and had equally beautiful views. The apartment is right by a beach which has water activities but also has quiet, relaxing areas with few people. There is a mini market selling food, drink and supplies and a nice restaurant on the water within walking distance. There is also a bus stop right outside; there are regular and reliable buses to take you to Corfu town quickly and cheaply. The hosts were very friendly, helpful and attentive. They responded very quickly and helped us with any question or problem. My friends and I would happily stay here again.

The peaceful and private location right at the water's edge is unbeatable. You can have breakfast and dinner in the garden, use the sun-loungers and go swimming in crystal clear water. Sotirios gave us a lot of helpful information on sightseeing off the beaten track. Restaurants and supermarkets are within walking distance if you don't have a car. We would love to come back.

We were very happy to have found this wonderful place at such short notice. Everything was just perfect and more beautiful than expected from the pictures. Especially the view from the large bright cozy bedroom and the kitchen with balcony is breathtaking! If we are in Corfu again, we will definitely sleep here again. Thanks for everything!

What a cute little apartment. It had everything one needs: all the basic amenities plus an AC, a TV (with many channels), a hair dryer, and they even let me borrow an umbrella and gave me a pair of house slippers after I requested them. The front yard smells like an orchard in full bloom. Very tranquil and a stone's throw from the Green bus stop where buses to Corfu town come every hour or so. All in all, this experience was nothing short of wonderful and I wish I had stayed here longer. Thank you so much Alexandra and Panos.

Athina’s air bnb was so amazing- it was a cozy loft right in the centre of old town. She was very responsive to our messages and provided very clear instructions. Highly recommend :)

Sofia is a wonderful and kind host, she welcomed us although we have made the booking in the last minute! Villa Plaka is a jewel among Airbnbs. We had a wonderful few days in Afionas. The decor is exactly as shown in the pictures. Everything is tastefully furnished with a lot of love for detail. There was nothing missing. The many terraces with the breathtaking view - priceless. The seclusion & tranquility is a boon for body and mind. The communication went great, great excursion tips and restaurant recommendations included. We are absolutely thrilled! Absolutely recommended!!! ♥️

Xanthis communication is great. Really responsive and helpful For example she helped with car hire. Her welcome is warm and she provides lots of info about the town. The apartment is as the photos show. Spotlessly clean and well appointed with everything you might need What the photos do not show is the views from the balconies and roof terrace which are amazing! The apartment is in a great location. It is 20 mins walk to almost everything. The old town,the liston, the fort, the museums and the beaches The museums are to be recommended particularly the Byzantine and Asian. Corfu town is the perfect mix of culture, night life and the beach. I would recommend it as a destination and Xanthi is the perfect host. Thank you

This is a lovely place to stay: bright and airy with a marvellous view out onto the sea. It's at the edge of the old town, so it's really quick and easy (especially with the help of your phone) to find your way around. The Faliraki beach is a five minute walk if you need a quick swim and there are plenty of nice places to eat all around. Apostolia could not have been more helpful with instructions, advice and recommendations. We had a wonderful holiday there.

Everything was perfect!

Had a wonderful week in Corfu. Very friendly host, airbnb was bigger than expected and the view was incredible. Location was fantastic; lots of tavernas nearby and a lovely little supermarket underneath with a friendly owner and gorgeous cats! It’s worth noting that access is via a short, but steep incline, so maybe not good for anyone with restricted mobility. Would recommend to anyone wanting to explore the beauties of Corfu.

Super cozy room with fantastic location. The outdoor area with a large garden and barbecue area is a big plus. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. There are also very sweet dogs that we have taken into our hearts. In about 20 minutes by car you can reach beautiful beaches on the other side of the island. We can highly recommend the place and look forward to our next Corfu trip!
