Opende is located in the Friese Wouden. The Airbnb is on our property on the border of Groningen and Friesland. Hiking and biking are possible in the nearby nature reserves Alde Feanen, Bakkeveen, Beetsterzwaag and Lauwersmeer. A day trip to Ameland or Schiermonnikoog is also easy to do. Culture can be found in Groningen, Leeuwarden and Heerenveen (about 25 min). Surhuisterveen is about 2 km away and has a shopping center with supermarkets, restaurants and all kinds of shops. You must arrange breakfast yourself.

Kom eens overnachten in de Noardlike Fryske Wâlden. Deze omgeving staat bekend om de vele elzensingels. Een prachtige groene omgeving, met vele fiets- en wandelpaden. Gelegen aan de N358 ben je zo weer onderweg voor een bezoek aan de Waddeneilanden of de elf steden in Friesland. Onze tuin grenst aan de weilanden van Staatsbosbeheer en heeft een weids uitzicht. Met een beetje geluk zie je de reeën lopen. Voor 15,00 euro per persoon per nacht kun genieten van een heerlijk ontbijt in de morgen.

Walden ligt temidden van het unieke coulissen landschap de Friese wouden. Bomen, heggen en houtwallen omzomen de weilanden. Met daartussen graslanden, water en stukjes bos. Het ziet er knus uit, die grasvelden tussen de bomen. Smûk, zeggen we in het Fries. Hier leven wel 250 soorten vogels en veel andere dieren. Vanuit de ijstijd kreeg het gebied ook nog eens pingo’s cadeau. Gelegen temidden van 2 Nationale parken; Lauwersmeer en de Alde Feannen. Ideaal fiets en wandelgebied.

PUUR Eastermar - Authentic and luxurious coach house.

Koetshuis Puur Eastermar is an exclusive apartment in the former coach house of our monumental farmhouse from 1860. The farm is located on De Lits between Burgumermeer and De Leyen. With its own jetty, this location is an excellent base for water sports or just to enjoy the breathtaking views. We have a guest house that can take a beating, in that sense, no modern and sleek decor but because I am very much for recycling we have also furnished the apartment mostly with used items. For children, it is often a paradise. We will never participate in the B&B program on TV. Guests must take us as we are, a working farm where very hard work is done, every day, and where sometimes a straw or puddle is in the yard. Imagine yourself back in time.

Farmhouse chalet Dirk

Get away from it all under the starry sky. Our farm chalet sleeps a maximum of two people. We have a nice double bed with walking space on both sides, so you don't have to roll over each other. The chalet is close to the sanitary building where you can shower, wash dishes, get water, brush your teeth and go to the toilet. The chalet has a nice veranda where you can sit in the evening and during the day with a drink and enjoy the surroundings.
