Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Africa

The place was great. Location was perfect for us: close to some true gems food wise, beaches, wineries, etc. We loved it. We stayed 1 week, so we truly got a chance to enjoy it. Was also able to yoga in the morning with a view on the olive trees. All the little attentions made us feel welcomed.

This is by far the best accommodation we’ve ever stayed in. Great location and excellent facilities. You can enjoy an amazing view of the ocean and stars at night from the large balcony. A big bonus was seeing a pod of dolphins right below the balcony. In fact, the accommodation turned out to be the highlight of our entire trip from Japan.

We had a very nice stay! The view is lovely, it”s so great to be so close to the sea! We had the best shower in days and really enjoyed our stay. Thanks Mohammed!

Our stay at Riad Modjakech was simply unforgettable. Upon our arrival, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism by Marco, in a serene and friendly atmosphere. The riad is a real gem, combining the charm of traditional Moroccan architecture with modern comfort. Each room is tastefully decorated, and the atmosphere that emerges invites you to relax. Everything was impeccably clean (thanks also to the vacuum cleaner king ;-) The location is ideal: quiet alley, just a few minutes from the bustle of the medina. After our days of discovery, we liked to relax on the terrace and its pool. A huge thank you to Mohamed and Fatima, who were simply exceptional. Mohamed was able to advise us correctly on the activities, and Fatima… what a cook! Its tajine is not to be missed. We'll be back for sure

Four of us, two couples, spent a very enjoyable week at Roula's stone cottage. A special and stunning location and suspect a rare opportunity to spend time in a traditional style house in a rural cretan mountain village. The cottage is very well equipped and comfortable. May be better suited to a family stay as the downstairs room has no separate access to bathroom. We enjoyed the peaceful location immensely- great to getup and have breakfast outside with the fresh air and distant sound of goat bells. We travelled to Chania or the beaches along the coast every day and certainly didn't find the village too remote to do so. Nearby Tavernas and gorge walk are a must. Roula, along with her mother, were always quick, helpful and generous when questions were asked and supplied us with eggs and oranges and some home cooked food. Surely one of the best hosts I've experienced on airbnb. Would gladly return.

Very nice spacious place to spend a very quiet, typical and relaxing stay. A riad with a neat and exceptional decoration, very beautiful painting on the walls. The little extra is the welcome and kindness of Aziza who prepared us an excellent and hearty breakfast. Nicolas’ house is lovely and we felt right at home. We especially enjoyed the spaces outside and the easy access to the beach. Nicolas responded to all hour questions attentively and promptly It’s great place for peace and quiet which is exactly what we were looking for.

Absolutely beautiful and stunning view. The entire unit is like a work of art. Everyone is so kind and the assistance with the bags was the perfect cherry on top. It’s a bit of a maze walking around the area around the air bnb, but with tons of sites to see and photos to take we didn’t mind it at all. Highly recommend this beautiful and stunning unit.

A magical place and a holiday we’ll never forget. The finca felt like a true home, peaceful, private, and surrounded by nature. We loved the beautiful sunset evenings and the heated pool was such a treat. The house was well-equipped, clean, and super comfortable. Our host was fantastic - always checked in to see if everything was okay, and anything we needed was sorted quickly. A perfect base for exploring the island. Highly recommended!

Great location, very short walk to the port, beautiful view of the ocean from the balcony. The host was extremely responsive and always willing to help make our stay comfortable! Apartment was very clean and the jacuzzi is a great feature. Multiple cafe’s/bars just downstairs with great food, drinks, and service. Highly recommend staying at this property if you want to be close to the venetian port and all Chania has to offer.

The house and the location are spectacular. Even better than the photos, more spacious. Karin was always very kind and responsive. The staff, Martha and John were incredibly friendly and helpful. It was a wonderful experience to stay in Karin’s beautiful house. Sitting on the balcony watching the wildlife was truly memorable. The house had everything you would ever need. Even a pair of binoculars! The little local dog was adorable. It was difficult to leave. I hope to return in the near future. Highly recommended!

This property exceeded all our expectations. It’s a beautiful house with everything that you could need for a stay in Cyprus, air con and pool. The pictures don’t do it justice, it’s stunning. Marios and Chris couldn’t do enough, from pre arrival recommendations and thoughts, through to check in, through to check out, everything was perfect. Nothing was too much and Marios checked in to see how he could help. Would I stay here again? 100% Location as well for us was spot on. We always hire a car and we were 20 mins from all of our favourite places. Thank you Marios and Chris for an incredible stay!

This was an amazing venue and hopefully not our last. Charlene’s place is beautiful and the photo’s do not give it justice. Even in winter the sun still beats this side of the earth and allows for warm days reading in the sun or driving in the game reserve and seeing some amazing animals. Charlene was an extremely friendly host. She kept in touch to make sure that everything was going according to plan and she was quick to step in with assistance when she could. We felt absolutely spoilt and the long weekend away from the kids was worth it for us. 100\10 would totally recommend, again, again and again!

We had a wonderful stay. Accommodation was exquisite, clean and nestled in beautiful surroundings. The house was equipped with everything needed for our stay. We hiked some of the paths in the estate. Tanya’s communication was top notch and we had no difficulty checking in.

This is a great house with an amazing view on the city, then you look behind you and see the Table Mountain. Great place to stay over a weekend or a longer place. Love the big couch and Bean Bag Chair.

An extremely well an appointed and tasteful home in the most spectacular location.

We had a great stay at the villa, it looks even better than the photos and is a really nice, quirky space to stay in. The surrounding area is quite remote so a car is needed, however the view is beautiful and we found the area very quiet and peaceful. It was lovely to sit outside to appreciate the view when the weather allowed. It is a little chillier at the location compared to some other areas closer to the coast, due to it being a little higher up. The villa does have a lot of moisture inside as the pool is within the living area, however there are dehumidifiers and when the weather is good, the door can be opened. The addition of the log burner was very cosy in the evening. The host was really accommodating, great communication and very responsive. I would definitely recommend!
