Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Al Qarnah

This was simply the best experience we could wish for on our first visit to Luxor. The house itself is very spacious with super comfortable beds and an extremely well equipped kitchen. The outdoor spaces and the balconies are just divine with panoramic views across the Nile. The pool was the perfect temperature and a must after being out in the hot sun. The house is better than the photos. What really made our stay so amazing was the host Arlene, the Hotel staff next door and the most amazing taxi driver Ahmed...all of who could not do enough for you to make your stay the most comfortable and enjoyable it could be. The hotel food was delicious and very well priced for the huge amount you were served. There is also a small family run restaurant 'The Farmers House' just past Djorff Palace Hotel, where the food is incredible - Veggie option is the best! Thankyou Sayed, Osman and a MASSIVE Thankyou to Arlene and Ahmed, for making us feel like we had a second home in Luxor. WE WILL BE BACK!

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour, la maison de Valerie est un vrai havre de paix. Nous nous sommes sentis comme à la maison dès notre arrivée. La maison est fonctionnelle, très bien équipée, nous ne manquions de rien ( cuisine très bien équipée, fer à repasser etc….) Merci à Hagag qui nous a accueilli et a été au petit soin tout au long du séjour. Quartier très calme et reposant. Même si le logement ne se trouve pas le long du Nil, c’est à peine en 10 min à peine en Tuktuk. La piscine est un vrai plus, permet de surmonter les grosses chaleurs de Luxor.

Walid was a great host, making me feel at home from the moment I arrived. He was always available if I needed anything, but otherwise left to be at home - welcomed after a day exploring! The place was exactly what I expected, located on the West Bank, a very short walk from the public ferry. It offered some peace from intensity of the city. The secluded garden was a special place to start and finish days, feeling immersed in a more authentic Egyptian experience than I would get anywhere else. The Egyptian and Moroccan architecture makes for a fantastic experience, with domed ceilings and arches built into all the rooms, and some quite special bathrooms (I had a tour). My room was spacious, had plenty of places to spread out my things and all the modern features needed (AC, fridge, hot water, power sockets). Walid and his family have clearly put passion, energy and creativity into building this place and I really wish Walid success with future plans, which I hope to return and see.

nous avons passé un séjour agréable à Luxor, chez اسامه (2 nuits) très pratique pour aller visiter les différents sites incontournables aux alentours ( temple de luxor, la vallée des rois , karnak, le souk.. :) une maison confortable et propre avec un espace ombragé en extérieur joli et calme. et surtout je que nous avons adoré: à l'aube, le spectacle incroyable des montgolfières colorées dans le ciel .. une vraie merveille! merci اسامه

We had an absolutely amazing stay! The house was spotless, beautifully maintained, and the view was breathtaking. The pool was perfect — clean, relaxing, and a true highlight of the place. The area is peaceful and very safe, ideal for a relaxing vacation. What truly made our experience exceptional was the tour guide Ahmed. He took everything to another level — incredibly respectful, knowledgeable, and always made sure we had the best of everything: from delicious local food to unforgettable temple visits and a stunning Nile cruise. He truly made our trip 100 times better. Thank you for such an unforgettable experience — we’ll definitely be back!

Staying at Hannah & Ahmed’s beautiful villa was the highlight of our holiday. It’s such a tranquil spot with breathtaking views, my family and I loved being in a more rural location, and yet so close to ancient Egyptian history. We were made to feel very welcome, they gave us excellent recommendations on nearby restaurants and arranged a tuk tuk which was great fun. They made everything easy for us which added to a relaxing stay. The villa is spacious and stylish, it has everything you could wish for. The roof terrace is gorgeous, watching the hot air balloons with a cup of tea at sunrise was a magical moment and something I’ll never forget. I would 100% recommend staying here, you will love it.

Safari yapmak konusunda da ev sahibi yardımcı olacaktır. Ev temiz ve gereklilikleri yerine getirecek durumda. Havuzu temiz, odalarda klima var. Her şey güzeldi, tavsiye edilir.

Très bon séjour dans le logement d’Hussein De très bon conseil et aide pour organiser les différentes visites , ainsi que le trajet pour les taxis (avec Ahmed). Possibilité de se restaurer chez lui avec son frère qui cuisine très bien ! Logement très propre. Je recommande à 100%

From pickup at the airport to transfer back to the airport, absolutely every part of our 5 day break was amazing. Check in was super easy and I cannot thank Ahmed enough for his amazing and attentive support every step of our break. He is a credit to Luxor! Beautiful surroundings. High quality apartments. Located in a quieter part of Luxor, which for me is essential to avoiding the tourist traps of the centre of the city. Great reception from Ahmed and Andrea and amazing service from all the staff who's breakfast is ideal for hot weather and starting of one's day. I have no complaints. the pool was great to cool down during the extreme heat of noon to 4pm. Make sure to get a taxi or tuctuc number just so you can easily zip into the city or go further to the touristic sites. loved every minute of my journey in Luxor and this was due to this very special guesthouse. I will definitely be returning, and returning knowing full well that I will be met by friends. Thank you to everyone that participated to this very magical trip. I wish I could have stayed but I have the rest of Egypt to visit.

Our visit at Nefertarie Guest House was an experience we’ll have always in good Memory! Our visit took place in early June, when it starts to be very hot outside, so we were so happy to have the opportunity to jump in the pool at any time. We also enjoyed the freshly made breakfast on the terrace every morning. Mohamed’s Son, Ibrahim made everything possible, we had in Mind. He is a very friendly young man, how makes great holiday offerings, but also knows when to take a step back, and give the guests some private space. That is a rare quality in Egyptian Tourism, but makes the difference for german Visitors, or maybe even for Europeans in general. We would book Nefertarie Guest House again and recommend it to all our friends and relatives.

Bahaa’s place is truly an oasis in the desert. The apartment includes access to a beautiful garden and terrace that gives the feeling of seclusion in an urban setting. It is within 2min walking of the Nile and another 5-10min of the public ferry. There are plenty of restaurants close by (both local and touristy). His place is clean and much attention to detail was given with the interior design. One feels like they are living a true Egyptian experience. We stayed for 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our time in Luxor. We would absolutely recommend to anyone passing through!

I had a truly wonderful stay at Magda’s flat. From the moment I arrived, she showed such genuine kindness and hospitality—it was clear she is not only a great host but also a truly good-hearted person. She was always quick to respond to any messages and frequently checked in to make sure I was comfortable and didn’t need anything, which made me feel very well looked after. The flat itself was spotless, tidy, and incredibly well-equipped with everything you might need for a comfortable stay. It felt like a home away from home. The location is also perfect—close to shops, restaurants, and anything else you might need during your stay. I can’t recommend this place enough. Thank you, Magda, for being such an amazing host!

Mohammed was a very helpful and kind host. He will always make sure you’re okay. He brought us some bananas first night we stayed in. Which was very nice from him 🥹🥰 The place is located in the peaceful site of the city which makes the place a peaceful home. The swimming pool definitely is the star of the house. My little one enjoyed a lot. The only thing I will recommend to Mohammed is equipe the kitchen a little bit more. Maybe few more cutlery and fry pans will be helpful. Overall was a great place to stay in! Thank you very much.

No os perdáis el alojamiento. Tan agradable como preciso en los servicios que puede ofrecer ofrecer por el momento (tanto Carine como Alí están en proceso de ampliar y mejorar sus instalaciones). Localizado en un entorno rural, en el lado del Valle de las Reinas y de los Reyes (Luxor) es, sin duda un remando de paz y silencio egipcio. Los desayunos son excelentes de verdad y a un precio insuperable. Carine es un encanto de mujer, suiza, muy alegre y súper trabajadora. Sin duda un lugar para alojarse cuando vayáis a visitar a Luxor, Karnak, el Valle de las Reinas, el Valle de los Reyes, el de los Artesanos, etc., a un precio y limpieza insuperable. Gracias Carine y Alí por vuestra ayuda y os deseamos lo mejor, en todos los sentidos.

Great host! Nice spacious apartment. The pictures make the place look small but it’s actually quite spacious and the bathroom is huge. I enjoyed my stay Mo helped me by booking a few tours also transportation to Aswan. The driver he provided is very nice and is super knowledgeable of the land. Restaurants are within walking distance I highly recommend Nile Freedom the owner is super chill and the food is 10/10! Would definitely book with Mo again.

Nous avons été chaleureusement accueilli par Elaine et Mahmoud dans leur maison. l appartement est tres confortable, tres propre et bien equipe: climatisation lave linge etc.. tout correspondait a la description. la deco interieur et la vue sur le charme de Al Bairat fut reposant et nous invite a la contemplation. Le service sur place, l écoute et la bienveillance fut à la hauteur de nos attentes. Mahmoud a été au petit soin avec nous pour nous faire découvrir la culture locale, l histoire de la région de Luxor , et sans compter les belles surprises du matin avec un petit déjeuner dans un village qui nous a littéralement charme. Nous lui remercions infiniment pour sa bonté, sa générosité et sa disponibilité. Nous pensons revenir pour prolonger ce beau séjour. Encore merci à Elaine et Mahmoud ❤️☺️🙏🌟🥀

We had a great time at Abdul’s place! It was a gorgeous part of Luxor and Abdul was very friendly and helpful. He is well-connected in the local community and has great recommendations for activities, and he is very knowledgeable about Egyptian history.
