Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Alger County

Our group enjoyed Tim’s place. Great spot for easy trail access, plenty of room to park multiple large trailers and the heated garage was a huge plus.

Very clean and quiet place, close to the trail. Plow truck driver for the driveway and parking lot was nice and accommodating. We had 50 inches of snow during the week and he was there daily by 8:00 a.m. Very Nice 👍 We will be back! Thank You Dennis & Dianne

This place gives you quick and easy access to all the attractions of the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. Munising, boat cruises, waterfalls, trails and beaches are ten to 30 minutes away. And yet, the place is very private and quiet. The house is very clean and conveniently organized. It has enough space for four to five people as long as they can share one bathroom (which is large and has a good shower). All the equipment is new or in very good condition. This includes a stainless steel gas stove, fridge, microwave, grill, etc. The house has every essential you need (linens, towels, dishwasher detergent), but you will need to bring your own laundry detergent. Communications with the host were very quick and efficient - the manager took seconds to respond and was always friendly and helpful. Wifi is reliable, and there is a TV with many streaming platforms. The heater (in the hallway) is a bit loud, but you can close your bedroom door to reduce noise at night. We enjoyed our stay.

This house is in the perfect location to get into town as well as driving to the local hiking trail and tours! The house has a slight smoke smell if you're sensitive to that sort of thing, but it was certainly tolerable. Host was very helpful with all questions that I had and we had a great stay!

We had a great stay in AuTrain on our last night the water went out but they brought us over water for toilets and took care of us regardless. Enjoyed our stay!

Just a beautiful location! Kyak right out into lake superior, do a little fishing, 30 minutes to miners falls (fantastic), 50 minutes to Chapel falls (stunning hike!), 25 minutes to Marqutte which is just a lovely little town with shops, bakeries (Baby Cakes recommended), and some lovely hiking around Presque Island Park. What more could you ask for? Played a round at NMU golf course (if that's your thing), and it was beautiful. The pool table, dart board, and wet bar were much appreciated on some of the rainy days. And I never thought I would appreciate the sauna, but what a relaxing treat! We even had a family of geese with their little babies in the yard that we got to know over the week. Oh, and Muldoons Pasties in Munising is 100% worth a stop, 10/10! Again, this place was awesome. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay and make some great memories! Just make sure to bring some bug spray, those UP bugs can be something fierce!

Our stay was wonderful! This was our second stay here in less than a year, and we plan to return next summer! The location is spectacular! Very private, beautiful beach, private back yard with a fire pit, and a huge sauna with wet or dry heat options! It is in walking distance to town and just minutes from Pictured Rocks National Lake Shore trails and Sable Falls. It is truly a nature lovers paradise! The home is cozy and well furnished and is so comfy with the easy to use electric fireplace. Everything was perfect! We even watched sea planes take off and land right in the bay from the comfort of the couch! There are so many things to do in the area that we couldn't fit everything into the week! Robin and William are the kindest, most welcoming hosts we have encountered! They go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and they definitely put a lot of thought into making their place feel like your home away from home. Thank you for a wonderful experience! Can't wait to return!

Santa’s Shack is perfect – an early Christmas gift for me! It’s comfy, cozy, clean, and spacious, equipped with everything I needed. Danielle is an exceptional host: welcoming, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful. I had a minor injury, which I mentioned casually, and Danielle went above and beyond by offering a therapeutic device so I wouldn’t have to drive a considerable distance, there and back, to get one. I had a fantastic time and staying at Santa's Shack was part of the amazing experience. Thank you so much for everything, Danielle!

Such a great location. The apartment was a lot bigger than we expected. Very nice and clean! Had a great stay!

The Maple Hideaway was a great stay! It was spacious for the 6 of us. The kitchen had everything we needed. Lots of parking and snow removal was kept up with in a big Munising winter. Host was responsive to a late check out request. No complaints!

This apartment is a great little hideaway. Super clean, which was nice. Within walking distance of a great breakfast spot, and some pretty stellar pizza. One should be warned, the door opens to the right, and the light switch is also to the right. So if you arrive at night, don't panic, the switch is there. Thankfully, the light above the stove was on when we arrived at night, so we had enough light. The only bummer I discovered is the only window with a screen has a window mounted ac unit, and even the sliding door didn't have a screen door. It would have been nice to have gotten some fresh, cool air at night. Never the less, I'd go back, if ever I vaca in Munising again.

My family and I stayed for a few nights while exploring pictured rocks and this was an absolute perfect stay. Anything you could need/want to feel right at home (even with children) and stay entertained while relaxing was here. We also got great advice on what and how to sightsee efficiently from Ken. The apartment was very private and quiet and more than plenty of room for our family of 5. Upon arrival we were greeted and given any info we needed for our stay and walked into a very clean and well stocked apartment. Will definitely stay here again!

We stayed at Buddha’s place while in town for a few days for my daughter’s graduation. Buddha was incredibly helpful during our stay, keeping us informed on weather changes for our travels and checking in by message. He was a fantastic host, very thoughtful and flexible which was awesome given how busy we were with the graduation. And the place is so incredibly beautiful, clean and well stocked and being on the gorgeous river- I would love to come back when it is warmer and we have more time to relax. Overall, the stay was a 10/10 and we highly recommend!!

It was exactly as advertised. It was very comfortable. It was close to town. It was stocked well with kitchen items. I would definitely stay here again and I would definitely recommend it!

We stayed in Erie Cabin and it was perfect for 2 of us! We had a great weekend, there is lots to do with Marquette and Munising both near. Sarah gave us a ton of great recommendations for breweries, restaurants, and activities!

We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean and comfortable with modern furniture and linens. Rebecca went above and beyond to make the cabin welcoming with a handwritten note, calming essential oil diffusers, house plants, and lavender bath products. The location was within 15-30 minutes of Pictured Rocks, which makes the cabin a great home base for outdoor activities like hiking and kayaking. Munising is only about 10 minutes away too. We really appreciated the well-stocked kitchen for cooking after a day outdoors. Rebecca was responsive and friendly. We recommend this cabin for a trip to the UP!

Perfect place for our UP trip. The cabin was gorgeous, homey, and had every essential we need plus many additional. The kitchen was well stocked: a delightful coffee bar, crockpot, instapot, pots and pans, sharp knives, etc. You can definitely see the planning and beautiful details that have been given to this cabin. The beds were comfortable. The couches were a dream. The outside was peaceful. We had plenty of space for our family to spread out. Our family was sad to leave this wonderful home. If we ever find ourselves back in the UP, I will definitely book this lovely cabin again.

Everything was super close, we visited all the water falls in the area, we recommend au train falls, such a beautiful underrated area. Danielle was very friendly and communicated very well. We have absolutely no complaints and will definitely be returning.

Cute little cabin right on the lake. Perfect distance to anything and everything youd like to do. Very quite and relaxing. Definitely check this place out!
