Forcalquier is a small town of 5,000 inhabitants located in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence halfway (1 hour drive) from the Gorges du Verdon and the Luberon. Forcalquier has a very lively city center with all the local shops, a movie theater and many restaurants. The Forcalquier market (Monday morning) is one of the largest in the region.
