The cabin is located in a well-established cabin area with groomed ski slopes in winter, and a large network of snowmobile trails where you can drive from the cabin and out into the wilderness. Here are nice areas for hunting and fishing, perfect for nature lovers. Cable car and swing for the kids in the woods, and nice hill to sled on in the winter. Sorrisniva, which is known for its amazing ice hotel, is a few km away. There's a great restaurant.

There are good opportunities for hunting, fishing and mountain trips just nearby. The area has many hiking trails of varying difficulty and length. In winter, there are good opportunities for all skiing and snowmobiling activities with slopes nearby. Øksfjord is located about 30 km from the cabin and there you can take the ferry over to Sørøya which is Norway's largest island without a mainland connection. At the cabin you can see the northern lights dancing over the cabin on a clear winter evening or experience the light 24 hours a day on a summer evening.

The cabin is idyllically located on a hill above Leirbotnvannet, at the foot of Finnmarksvidda. Sarves Alpinanlegg is a 10-minute drive away. Around the cabin you will find a rich wildlife and great mountain terrain. There is no running water, but water in cans is delivered to the cabin. Inside the cabin there is a combustion toilet, in addition there is an outhouse built in 2025.

The cabin is located about 4 km from Sorrisniva which is known for the fantastic ice hotel they have in winter and a great restaurant that is open all year round.
