Thank you for looking at Windy Pines Suite. This spacious one bedroom/one bathroom suite has a large kitchen/living room; and is perfect for travelers. It is clean, comfortable, & uncluttered, a home away from home! It is surrounded by beautiful pines, in a safe neighborhood with accessible parking. Close by is the interstate with access to Iowa State Fair Grounds, and Downtown Des Moines. WP is attached to our home but it has its own separate outside entrance. Please send me any questions.

Drive into the attached garage and go upstairs where you will find your very private entrance to a quiet, peaceful, and restful living. Located 1 mile from the downtown area on a street loaded with large Oak and Walnut trees. A huge back yard in which to stroll or barbecue. It is the top half of my house complete with it's own kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. My residence is the bottom half of the house. Lots of excellent restaurants nearby. Jason is a great host, quick to respond, and very friendly! He has thought of everything and the shared house is one of the best I’ve ever stayed in. The other guests when I was there were great also which helps. But the WiFi was fast and worked great for remote working, everything was very clean, and overall a quiet, great experience. One thing to note is the room is upstairs so it can get pretty warm in the summer. But Jason was more than happy to keep the temperature low enough at night so I could be comfortable enough. This was much appreciated If im ever back in Des Moines, I’ll absolutely look for Jason’s listing first!

Had a very nice stay in Des Moines and the Air B&B was nice and clean and the bed was big and comfy. Nice view the City. I like to cook and having just some salt anf pepper and maybe some olive oil on hand could really do wonders for the kitchen situation but they had good pots and utensils etc. One thing that could improved is the coffee maker - the carafe doesn't fit the maker and grounds would go everywhere inside the coffee maker when trying to brew a pot. These are all minor things that would not prevent us from wanting to stay there again. Overall it was a wonderful experience with a great view of the city and it was close and convenient to good restaurants, breweries/bars etc. We even walked to Principal Field and caught an Iowa Cubs game. It was a great time!

My third stay here in the past five years as part of a mid-west regional disc golf tournament. The place is clean, quiet, and nearby to all the disc golf courses used for the tournament. The hosts respond quickly to any questions or concerns. Recommended!

Spotless room, bathroom, and home. Instructions were detailed and specific, which I appreciated. Room was easy to find based on description. I liked having a bathroom to myself. Instructions were provided for how to use the lamps, WiFi, location of usb/plugs. Friendly host; I appreciated being able to park in the driveway instead of on the street, but still, it’s a dead end in a quiet neighborhood so I would have been fine with on street parking too.
