Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Amsterdam-Centrum

We had a wonderful time at Anthony’s apartment. The location is fantastic - very walkable to many attractions and restaurants but on a peaceful and quiet street. The bed was comfortable and the bedroom was nice and dark - great for jet lag. We didn’t make use of the kitchen or outdoor space, but that was nice as well. Anthony and Zino were very responsive and gave lots of good suggestions for local restaurants and cafes. We would absolutely stay here again.

A superb place! We enjoyed staying at Monica’s place very much - it was beautiful, had all the conveniences of a modern home and yet a beautiful charm of an ancient place! The building is leaning and everything is at a slight angle - typical of Amsterdam and definitely charming. Our 1 year old who just learned to walk and kept wobbling to the leaning side which was funny to watch. Very steep staircase up to the apartment which again is typical to Amsterdam. We didn’t mind but it’s a workout for sure! Highly recommend for a very convenient location, comforts of a home and old time charm. Thanks Monica!

We had a great stay at Michelle’s. She is a very friendly host and answers questions quickly. The place is exactly as described and shown on the pictures. The surroundings are quiet and beautiful, and the commute to the city is easy.

Nach einem langen Tag in Amsterdam haben wir die Ruhe in Broek in Waterland bei Haico sehr genossen. Das Haus ist gemütlich und bietet alles, was wir gebraucht haben: ein bequemes Bett, eine saubere Dusche und eine gut ausgestattete Küche, in der wir unser Frühstück zubereiten und abends kleine Mahlzeiten wie Pasta oder Sandwiches machen konnten. Die Lage ist ideal, um schnell nach Amsterdam zu gelangen, und die Busverbindung ist sehr gut.

Birgit and her home are so wonderful! Birgit was so helpful showing us around the home and so gracious when our train was cancelled and we needed to stay another night. The home is clean and beautiful. We had plenty of space and loved having a quiet space after a day in a busy city. We hope to stay here again!

Hote super sympa, apparemment propre et très bien pour un week-end, à 10 minutes du métro, 10 minutes d'un supermarché etc et pas en plein centre donc calme le soir et la journée

Das war ein wundervoller Aufenthalt in einer süßen und sehr gemütlichen Unterkunft! Wenn wir wieder nach Amsterdam kommen, dann wollen wir auf jeden Fall wieder in Astrids kleinem Kuschelhäuschen untergebracht sein! Hier ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Es steht auch eine Auswahl an Gewürzen, Kaffee und Tee zur Verfügung sowie ausreichende Kochutensilien und Geschirr. Das Haus war sehr sauber und geschmackvoll gemütlich eingerichtet. Die Betten waren auch sehr bequem. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind zu Fuß schnell erreichbar, so wie die Bushaltestelle mit einer guten Verbindung nach Amsterdam. Alles in allem eine Fünfsterneplus-Unterkunft! Vielen Dank dafür, Astrid!

Fantastisch appartement op een heel goede locatie. En ondanks dat je in het hartje van het centrum zit, hartstikke rustig! Het appartement voelt huiselijk aan en heeft alles wat wij nodig hadden. Douwe is een geweldige gastheer, die indien gewenst veel tips voor activiteiten heeft. En we hebben hartelijk met hem gelachen. Er is geen twijfel, dat we hier nog eens terugkomen.

Fantastic apartment, really clean and comfortable in a great neighbourhood: peaceful but walking distance to everything you could need. Loes and Fokke are wonderful hosts, warm and helpful- we had a brilliant few days exploring the city from the perfect base.

The Airbnb was truly unique. We stayed at one of the beautiful, historic, dancing houses of Amsterdam. The place was clean and central to many places on our itinerary. Bathroom was quite spacious. Check-in was also a breeze. Would highly recommend!

A great place for a couple to stay in Amsterdam, great restaurants, lots of sights in walking distance and very close to the railway station. This made access from the airport on public transport very easy. The apartment is spacious, modern and very clean. The downstairs bedroom is very comfortable with an excellent en suite shower room and free from noise as it is below ground level. As advertised, it is accessed down a steep spiral staircase which was fine, but would be a challenge for anyone with mobility issues. The kitchen has a fridge, and an espresso coffee machine which allowed us to make a simple continental breakfast. There are no facilities to cook food, but there are many excellent restaurants within yards, of the front door so treat yourself!! For those who like a Dutch dining experience, we would recommend Van Speyk which is next door ( where we went twice). Food, service and ambiance excellent both times. Arjen has quite the incredible apartment near the train station. Nice sized Duplex with outdoor deck off the bedrooms. It couldn't have been more comfortable, with great light, herbs and berries growing on the deck that he encouraged you to consume. It's convenient to almost everything. As others have said the stairs, at first seem daunting, but once you get used to it, it stops being a problem. Arjen was there too meet us when we arrived. He generously carried our bags up the stairs, acclimated us to the space and then took us on a tour of the neighborhood. He was there when we left to go to the airport at 6:30 am to carry our bags back down the steps. He's very charming and articulate. He was never intrusive but always responsive. He loves his city and is willing to share locals only things to do. Next time I come to Amsterdam I'll look to to stay here first.

Absolutely stunning Airbnb right in the middle of a bustling area. Host was so accommodating with an earlier check in, storing our luggage and organising a return taxi to the airport. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay in Amsterdam!

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit in dieser Unterkunft direkt am Strand. Die Lage ist traumhaft und die Gegend bietet viele Möglichkeiten zur Erholung und zum Erkunden. Die Gastgeber waren ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit – ihre Tipps für Ausflüge und Aktivitäten waren sehr wertvoll. Die Wohnung selbst ist sehr luxuriös eingerichtet und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und können diese Unterkunft absolut weiterempfehlen!

The location of this Airbnb is excellent — situated in a quiet neighborhood that made for a peaceful stay. The studio is small but cozy, featuring a comfortable bed and a shower with great pressure and temperature. Since the apartment is in the basement, you could occasionally hear noises from the residence above, but it was never a major disturbance. One of the best parts is that it’s right next to a lovely park, making it super walkable. Plus, you can easily walk to many of Amsterdam’s main attractions from here, which is very convenient. The host was responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely stay here again if I return to Amsterdam.

Das Haus liegt in einer wunderschönen und ruhigen Umgebung. Es ist für Naturliebhaber leicht zu erreichen und dennoch nur 25 Minuten vom Stadtzentrum Amsterdams entfernt. Wir vermissten lediglich eine größere Spüle zum Abwaschen des Frühstücksgeschirrs. Insgesamt war es aber eine sehr sympathische Erfahrung.

Peet был невероятно внимательным и отзывчивым хозяином — дал чёткие инструкции, быстро отвечал на сообщения и с готовностью помог, когда у меня возник вопрос по технике. Квартира очень уютная, чистая и отлично расположена. Всё, что нужно для комфортного проживания, было под рукой. Особенно порадовало наличие мелочей, таких как яйцеварка и подробная инструкция по дому — видно, что хозяин действительно заботится о гостях. Рекомендую с уверенностью и с удовольствием вернусь снова!

We had a great stay! Hugo was easy to contact, gave us many local recommendations, and easy to follow directions. The place was clean, had a great view, and is on a quiet street. Location was great, very walkable to all of the main tourist attractions. We were worried about not having a tv but didn’t miss it. Just a heads up to people in the U.S.-bring wash cloths to Europe. All 3 of the Airbnb’s that we stayed at did not provide them. I read that they consider it a personal item, like a toothbrush, and expect you to bring your own. Thank you Hugo!

Perfekt gelegene Wohnung von der man abends einen traumhaften Sonnenuntergang genießen kann. Die Beachbars liegen in unmittelbarer Nähe. Zum Zentrum sind es ca. 15 Minuten zu Fuß. Ein Pluspunkt ist der zur Wohnung gehörende und auf dem Grundstück liegende Parkplatz. Wir können das stilvoll eingerichtete Beachhouse auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.

This place was wonderful! It was just as described. We enjoyed listening to the birds (wild parakeets and others) as we sat on the balcony in the mornings. The stairs are steep and narrow but that is just part of being in Amsterdam. One thing to note, there are 2 showers, 2 sinks, but only 1 toilet. It didn’t cause any problem for me, but those staying in the first floor bedroom will have to climb up stairs in the middle of the night. Overall, I highly recommend!

We enjoyed staying at Fleur’s apartment. It is very close to a tram stop which made it easy to get around, and it was well situated between the main areas of the city, making it a good base to explore from. The apartment was nice - it had everything we needed for a couple days in the city. The only thing to note is that the stairs within the apartment (from living area to bedroom) are narrow and steep, but this seems quite typical of stairs in this area- the same was true of stairs in restaurants in the area. Overall we had a great stay and I would stay there again!
