What a great place to stay for a long weekend! We thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful property, abundant places to sit outdoors, the hot tub, comfy beds and well-outfitted kitchen. It was a wonderful jumping off point to head out for a day of hiking and exploring and then to come back to for making dinner and relaxation. We definitely want to come back sometime!

Joy’s tiny house is fantastic! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Pristine, cute, comfortable, and a beautiful location. Everything has so much thought and care put into it. The outdoor shower was amazing- loved that. Outdoor kitchen with the gas grill was awesome. We cooked our food the whole time. The composting toilet was super clean. Not stinky or uncomfortable in the least, for those who might be reluctant to pull the trigger on this gem because of it. Joy and Joshua are super friendly, helpful hosts. You could hear the river all day, owls and turkey at night. Bugs weren’t too bad. So much hiking nearby. 10/10 overall. We would love to be back!

We had an absolutely amazing stay at this mountain Airbnb! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning views and the cozy charm of the cabin. The home was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a perfect escape. There was plenty of space for our group to relax and unwind—whether it was lounging by the fireplace, cooking meals together in the well-stocked kitchen, or enjoying coffee on the deck surrounded by the mountains. The hosts clearly put a lot of thought into making sure guests feel welcome, with thoughtful touches like local snacks, extra blankets, and board games. If you're looking for a perfect mix of comfort, nature, and quality time with friends, this is the place. We’re already planning our future trips here to stay at again during the snowy season.

Nice cabin for a quiet trip. It was clean and comfy. The heater worked well at night. There's a firepit in front of the cabin, and you can buy firewood from the host. Remember, there's no electricity or shower in the cabin. You can use a shared shower nearby. Also, the pizza place and store on the map are only open some times of the year. The nearest places to eat and buy things are 30 minutes away by car. The host was friendly, quick to reply, and gave good tips about the area.

Great little riverside cabin. You need a little agility for the folding ladders to the lofts, and then you need to balance ventilation and heat to get them optimized, but it is a cozy retreat once set up. Being right by the river was wonderful as I recovered from a bad bout of the flu, and the owner was wonderfully flexible when I needed to modify my schedule due to the illness. Town was a short-enough drive to go grab takeout food and groceries daily.

Nicole was amazing from start to finish. First of all, allowed us to check in early! The place was exactly what we wanted: small, remote, close to the water, a good fire pit, and budget friendly. My partner and I forgot our pump for our inflatable kayak and Nicole went above and beyond to find us a local store that sells them and we got the LAST ONE. Vacation was saved because of her! Very clear instructions to the water which was a close walk and stayed very responsive throughout our stay. Cabin was very clean, fire pit was empty and cleaned before we used, and the best part is the TV had screen mirroring so I could play whatever I wanted. I will be visiting the Ape Caves again soon and would love to book with her again.
