The ideal solution for whom desires an authenitc home on holiday, in the heart of an Apulian historic square by the sea, truly one of a kind.
“Elena's house was amazing. We checked out the reviews before which were excellent but it exceeded our expectations. From a door in the wall on an alley way in the old town, led to a beautiful apartment with sea views which were better than in the photos. Elena was great told us where to eat, recommended where to visit and advised us on the trains. The old town was beautiful and it was great to have such easy access to the house as it is right next to the square in the old town. We would definitely recommend you stay here as everything went so smoothly from the time of booking”
“This place is just great. First, the location. The apartment is at the end of a quiet cul de sac and is not overlooked. It is close to the castle (within which is a National Museum of Archaeology) and within 200 metres there are at least 4 restaurants, a beer shop, a cafe/bar and a fish shop. It is only slightly further to the main square and main street, where there are other bars, restaurants and food shops. Second, the apartment itself. Renovated to a very high standard it is stylish and warm (I was here in mid-March). There are two bedrooms, a double and a twin. The upstairs bathroom has a great shower; downstairs there is another toilet and bidet. The cooking facilities consist of two gas rings and a microwave, but who wants to do a lot of cooking with Italian restaurants on hand? The equipment in the kitchen is adequate for simple cookery. There is a fridge that was stocked with milk/soya and butter. Also provided were crackers and crispbread for breakfast plus jams, honey and chocolate spreads. Third, Pasquale was a great host. Nothing was too much trouble and he has provided maps and restaurant business cards to help guests orientate. You will have guessed by now that I recommend this place and it won't be a shock that I will do my best to come back.”

“Casa Buffalmacco is a perfect place for those who want to visit Matera in all serenity and relaxation. Although it is not located near Matera (as per announcement), it is still in a delightful and peaceful village (Montescaglioso is worth a visit, even fast) with practically guaranteed street parking and connected to Matera by an easy road. Parking near Matera is very easy, just go to the central station and in five minutes or less you can reach the center. The house is on the third floor, has a very nice view and is welcoming, tastefully furnished and equipped with all the essentials for a good stay. The rooms are large, there is plenty of light, the living area has everything you need and the main bathroom is beautiful and functional. The prestigious note, then, is the host: Michela, whom we had the pleasure of meeting before leaving home, was immediately extremely friendly and helpful. He is a sunny person, attentive to the needs of his tenants (thanks for the coffee!), Discreet and generous. In summary, we are very satisfied with the stay, we have already suggested Casa Buffalmacco to friends and if we were to return to visit that jewel that is Matera we will definitely consider Michela's house.”
