Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Arco da Calheta

This chalet is absolutely beautiful! It was exactly as pictured - if not more lovely in person. It was peaceful, clean, and so cozy! We enjoyed making a fire in the fire place when it was cold and rainy. Ana was so responsive and let us check in early and was helpful giving directions and gave great recommendations for places to eat. Hot shower, comfortable bed, washing machine, full kitchen - everything you need! There are, however, some pros and cons with the location to consider. This is a remote property in a small village - which is what makes it so pretty, unique and peaceful. It’s also off the main road on the way toward Pico de Areiro which is great if you’re spending time in this location hiking, canyoning, etc. However, keep in mind it’s very remote. I really did not like driving back there late at night and was a little uneasy sleeping there at night because it felt so remote - but if that doesn’t bother you, I couldn’t recommend this place enough! We would stay again!

If you want a more authentic/meet friendly local farmers/quiet and extremely awesome host experience. This is it !!! Seriously never encountered a more welcoming experience. The eggs, the cake and fruit that welcomed us was amazing and unexpected. The cleanliness and washer / dryer and all the needed details were covered. Perfect location for hikers! Rent a car and drive all around the island. Easy parking for small car. Extremely quick response from hosts. Full kitchen. family of 4 adults and 2 teens. perfect in every way.

Beautiful house. The driveway is easy to miss if you're not paying close attention the first time. Well equipped kitchen. Next to a walking trail by the sea. Well situated to drive to other attractions around the island. Fanal forest, P Moniz, Santana, PR16, were not far away.

The Nobrega house was really beautiful!! So lovingly furnished and the location and view is an absolute dream. Well-equipped and great communication with Bernice and Simon. We'd come back in a heartbeat ☺️

The house was a wonderful place for us and our family. Plenty of room and the kitchen was very well equipped. The view was spectacular and the pool and patio were an excellent spot to relax.

We were in Madeira for a week and we loved our stay! Opção was super responsive and available. The view from the balcony was even more beautiful in real life than in the photos. The location was very private. We highly recommend this place.

it was a really very nice big house with a paradisical balcony and a magnificent view over the whole village at less than 300 meters high. You have to have a car very clearly,otherwise it could be problematic. It actually gets cold at night and in the morning, but there are at least mobile heating devices in the apartment. Unfortunately, we also noticed cockroaches in the direct reference, but after we removed 5 pieces, we didn't have a problem with it anymore

We had a pleasant stay at Ivone and Garry's. The apartment has an amazing view of the sea and everything you need. We will definitely come back for a future stay in Madeira!

Absolutely loved our stay here! The location is incredible with stunning views of the hills. Not far from local amenities but still quiet and peaceful - a few walks nearby that were great too! 10/10, really really enjoyed.

The hosts were super responsive and amazingly offered us an earlier check-in time as their cleaning had finished earlier that day. The place was spotless and well stocked with everything you'd need to feel at home and having a dishwasher & washing/drying facilities made things feel so relaxed and the BBQ & hot tube was great to have for the evenings. The view was beautiful, and the house was a perfect size and location for a little romantic getaway. It isn't a long journey to get to areas like Funchal or Porto Monis, and there's a large number of PR walks nearby, too.

We loved our stay here, very comfortable apartment and stunning location. Gary met us on arrival and responded within minutes with any issues. it's lovely and peaceful but it was a nice bonus to have a few local restaurants and small shop in walking distance. Definitely recommended!

If you are going to stay in Madeira , this is one of the nicest places you can stay in. The setting of this home is beautiful, and is located in a very pretty town with some great choices of restaurants and bars. The terrace has a stunning view and the kitchen space has everything you need for cooking should you want to do that. Bed is really comfy after days of exploring. We managed to park in the car park in the town every day - feels a hire car is a great asset in Madeira. Alessio is extremely friendly and makes you feel right at home when you arrive.

We had a lovely stay in this accomodation. It was nice to explore an area outside of Funchal and was a good base to explore around the island. The place was very clean and the view was stunning. The hosts were very kind and friendly at both check in and check out. I would highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful villa! Everything was exactly as described: clean, comfortable, and very well equipped. The view was absolutely stunning, and the pool quickly became one of our favorite features. It truly felt like a home away from home. Communication with the hosts was smooth and pleasant throughout. We had wonderful days at the property and would book them again anytime. There was everything you needed and very clean.

Karol place is definitely a home away home, you relax soon as you step through the door. Very peaceful which is what we like. But also not far from anything. Communication with Karol was great. The lavada walks that start about 2 min up from the villa are definitely worth a stroll, one will take you to Panoest cafe and the other way to Bar Do Papagaio.

Martin was great at communicating and the home was beautiful. The views from the hot tub are spectacular! Would stay here again.

Our stay at Rui's home in Faja Da Ovelha was beyond our expectations. If you are looking for a more secluded stay with views of your own this is the place. It's located not far from various hikes and you are just a small drive from areas like Sexial, natural pools, and the black sand beach. The cat was a much welcomed friend during our stay, we looked forward to seeing her each morning. We actually eloped during this stay right in the lower garden of the Airbnb, it was such a special day with a stunning backdrop. Rui was so kind to allow us to be able to do this and even brought the gardeners a few days before so everything was pristine. If you are thinking about booking ...do it...you won't regret it.

Lovely house. Complete and lots of privacy. No amenities within walking distance. No problem for us, but something to keep in mind. The house is also high, which can save a few degrees. If you are staying here, please remember to go for dinner at the Sunshine Pub&Grill. Highly recommended, see also reviews on Google.
