Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Ardèche

Due to personal circumstances we had to rearrange this holiday 2 times, of which Remy was very understanding. We booked the villa based on how well the photos looked but were really not ready for just how much better the place was in reality! Le Magnanerie is tucked quietly away in a totally idyllic spot in a gorgeous old French hamlet, boasting the most impressive westerly views across the private pool of the Cévennes, with stunning sunsets. The covered outside area is spacious and perfect to escape the direct summer sun, and the thick stone building is naturally cool. Comfortably set over 3 pretty floors with portable air conditioning in the loft bedroom area. Kids bunk beds are perfectly placed and even though everything is wooden, nothing creaks. Local agent Deborah was very helpful and after driving from the UK, we were pleasantly surprised to have had our best family holiday to date here! We rarely return to holiday destinations, however we will certainly be coming back. Merci

Hidden oasis, peaceful and relaxing. could have just stayed at the accommodation but a great base to go exploring the region. our host was very helpful and friendly. we had a great time and would love to visit again

One of the best Airbnbs I've ever been to. The accommodation is superb, tastefully decorated and warm. I can only recommend it if you want to discover the Ardèche and stay in a spacious, cozy apartment, in which you feel really good. The village of Balazuc is beautiful, and you can walk to the beach in 10 minutes, we enjoyed it. Mary is a great host, responsive and thanks to her everything was easy and chill.

Kevin et Laetitia’s place is as close to “heaven on earth” as I’ve encountered in a long time! I am looking forward to trying to come back for a longer stay ASAP, it was absolutely incredible and as hosts, they were wonderful to work with. The interior is accommodating and thoughtfully designed down to the smallest details and the exterior is a peaceful, divine oasis of comfort and pleasure. The surrounding areas are easy to access and everything was 10/10 wonderful! Merci beaucoup, Kevin & Laetitia!

This truly is a magical place to stay! It would be worth it for the beautiful terrace and views alone but the whole house is up to the same standard and has a Zen like atmosphere. We had a week of superb weather and really fell in love with the Ardèche. Great hikes start right at the house. Mirjam and Benjamin are very welcoming and professional hosts. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this rental and hope to return!

We’ve stayed in a lot of Airbnb’s, and Catherine’s apt is our absolute favorite! We loved the spaciousness—the rooms were larger than we expected and the balcony was huge. Bed so comfy, bathroom squeaky clean, kitchen and dining room just right for the two of us, lots of places to sit and relax. We felt so at home that we didn’t want to leave. Catherine’s directions were super easy to follow and her recommendations for restaurants outstanding. It was our first time in Menerbes and we fell in love with it. We will definitely be back!

The place is simply sublime. The house is beautiful and the environment is a real postcard. It is a peaceful place, between stones and nature. The owners are adorable and Blandine is really responsive. Thank you very much.

A dream week in the heart of the Ardèche in the beautiful house of Anneke and Dominique. Very warm and attentive hosting. A very nice studio with a beautiful view and access to the beautiful terrace. Olympian calm. Great walks to do in the surroundings: a walker's paradise! An unforgettable stay!

Vanessa was a wonderful host. Her instructions for finding the apartment were very clear. She also shared a list of great restaurant recommendations in the area. The apartment couldn’t be in a better location. 2 minutes away is Le Palais des papes, yet the apartment is incredibly quiet and peaceful. It’s our second time staying here so we were much better at finding the parking. The place has a brilliant design- good mix of new and old. Of course we’ll return.

Beautiful apartment in a quiet village like a museum. We were glad not to be accommodated in the bustling Vallon Pont d'arc. Bakery, great little grocery store and a nice restaurant within walking distance. Communication with Sandrine worked out excellently.

Fabienne’s apartment was delightful with beautiful furniture and a great kitchen and amenities. Everything was of a very high quality, terrific shower and lovely area to relax. The building was lovely and we enjoyed our stay very much.

We had a great night at Simone's place. It went very well. The neighborhood is quiet, which is very appreciable, and we were able to enjoy the pool, perfect for relaxing after a day of wandering the streets of Montélimar. The apartment was clean, functional and well-equipped, with everything you need. Simone welcomed us very warmly. We recommend it without hesitation!

Sylvie is an amazing person, very kind, attentive, gave us recommendations and we had a good time. She made us cookies and cake. We will definitely be back.

Excellent place, very clean, well distributed and nicely renovated department with a lot of utensils and its own private parking spot. Thierry was very proactive, responsive and super kind, he waited for us and showed us the place. The hosts also let us arrive before our check in time.

A piece of paradise in the middle of the vineyards. Véronique and Pascal are charming and very discreet. We were able to discuss their passion and their art with them. They are fascinating. Our accommodation was perfect, just like the description. The ceilings are low upstairs but as indicated in the description, no surprise. Perfect bedding and a very nice soothing decoration. I highly recommend it. We'll be back, I think.

We would give 10 stars, the apartment is great, the location of Vera da above the river, the terrace on the river gives a natural air conditioning on hot days, in the evening the atmosphere is particularly cozy with the lapping of the river, the reflections of lights of Fontaine-de-Vaucluse. In the heart of the much-visited town, where peace and quiet reign in the evening. Then the convenient private parking and in the afternoon sitting under the plane trees by the river in the large private park and reading a book. Wonderful. We can definitely recommend the apartment. Denis was always available and made the check-in as easy as possible and gave us many tips. He is very nice and open-minded towards his guests. Thank you Denis for everything!

This (too short) stay filled us with happiness. We were first very pleasantly surprised by the attentive and warm welcome from Marie, then won over by the comfort of the apartment and the garden (with pool). We are delighted with our stay. Easy to access, self check-in, accommodating and very clear explanations. Lots of good tips for nearby restaurants. The space was as photographed and very clean.
