Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Athens County

The home was cozy, clean, comfortable and well-stocked. It was perfect for our stay. The communication from Katherine was also great and proactive. We hope to return again someday.

My brothers and I were in the area over Memorial weekend on our motorcycles to ride The Windy Nine motorcycle roads. This location was perfect, just outside of Athens but not too far. Quaint little cabin in the woods the also offered cover for our bikes to keep them from collecting morning dew. This small cottage offered everything we needed but bot too fancy. The only caution is finding the driveway on the initial arrival can be a bit tricky especially on motorcycles as the winding road that leads to the cottage is not too U-turn friendly for motorcycles. Overall, awesome place and we will be back!

We stayed here for our son's graduation from OU. The house was clean and well stocked, including spring water and coffee/creamers available. It was a quick ride back to campus. Overall, we were very satisfied with the experience.

Off the grid fine glamping at it's best. The bed and futon couch / bed (perfect for 2 kids) were comfortable. The water pressure, wifi service were great. The family had a learning curve with the composting toilet and on demand water heating system but a wonderful experience overall. Our dog also loved the vast space to roam and explore. Looking forward to take more advantage of the trails while enjoy the chickens again on our return.

John was proactive and helpful with instructions. He thought of little things to make our stay enjoyable

We really enjoyed staying at this Airbnb located a short walk to Court Street. The house is nicely set up for a comfortable stay. In addition there’s a beautiful heated pool and lounge area with a fire pit. And to top it all off there’s an unexpected full bar in the lower level complete with a VIP area. Amazing & fun!! P.S. the communication was great also and Bryan was a terrific host.

Sallie’s place was just as described! It was very cozy! We appreciated the extended checkout time, too! Would come back!

Great stay at the Bobcat Bungalow. Perfect location for visiting Ohio University. House was very well organized. Loved the little extras like having cream in the refrigerator and yoga mats and games in the closet. Kay has really thought of every detail.

We had a wonderful time at Gretchen’s place in Athens! It was private, comfortable, and beautiful inside and outside. We loved the natural light and the amazing wraparound porch. Highly recommend!

Cindy has an amazing place to stay that was easily accessible for my family. Although we had a-lot of running around for my son’s graduation, it was nice to have a place to go back to rest up. Sorry we didn’t have time to meet face to face, but Cindy answered any emails promptly. We definitely recommend Cindy’s place to our friends that have children at Ohio U and want a close place to stay in the future. If we ever plan a trip back, we w look yo book again. Thanks again Cindy!

We loved our time here! We enjoyed walking the beautiful property, seeing all of the flowers and gardens Natalie is growing, sitting by the pond and visiting the animals. We look forward to coming back again!

Hosts Brenda and Deborah were extremely warm, welcoming, and flexible! We were on a short trip for a graduation at Ohio University, about 12 minutes away. Due to delayed flights and 1.5 hour drive from Columbus Airport, we didn't arrive until 10:30pm, and Deb was waiting on the porch to greet us and get us settled. Very much appreciated! Communication was great, including directions (by phone) re: the country roads in the dark. The space is large, as described and seen in photos, sort of a "basement apartment" in a gorgeous area, very peaceful. The place and hosts are down-to-earth, as we had hoped, making our stay lovely and enjoyable. 😊 Thank you!

What an amazing stay! Rick was a fantastic host, with clear and helpful communication before our arrival, especially on how to find the cabin. The cabin itself was beautiful, super cozy, and spotless. It had everything we needed: a fireplace, hot tub, comfy bed, and even a covered porch so we could enjoy the outdoors in the rain. We had a wonderful time here and would definitely stay again if we're back in the area. Highly recommended!

We only had the pleasure of staying at Whitney's Place 1 night but it was absolutely beautiful. We had some user error issues checking in, sent a text and 2 minutes later Dad came to help!! Enjoyed talking to him and hope to have time for that beer 🍺. The home is located on a lovely, meadow like lot surrounded by trees. We enjoyed sitting on the wrap around porch listening to nature. When we walked in we were impressed at the tasteful, high quality decor and excellent use of space! The loft was fun and very cozy and the master bedroom was LUXURIOUS with a quality mattress and plush linens. The bathroom was spotless and had a spa like vibe with fluffy towels and little extras. The host provides great assortment of games and books, no issues with WI-FI or streaming. The hot tub is awesome, I love ❤️ the little walkway to the tub and the view was like something from a Walden poem. Whitney's Place is a 10/10 if you are looking for a rural getaway with all the amenities!

Really cute place, lot of care went into to making it feel homey. Lots of games and activities to do in the property. It was clean, and quaint!! Really enjoyed our time, would stay here again!

Wow, absolutely incredible experience! I knew exactly what to expect thanks to details in the listing and impeccable communication from the hosts. Once I arrived, there were helpful instructions and resources everywhere to help navigate some of the more “off-grid” aspects of the experience. The property is so beautiful and the cabin was so cozy, I never wanted to leave! The cabin was well-stocked with kitchen supplies & entertainment for wi-fi free fun. I went pretty light on my grocery list and regret not bringing more supplies to cook because I wasn’t expecting so many cooking amenities to be available! Being able to hop onto the trail right behind the cabin was incredible and it was so fun to explore the woods - clearly so much thought & work put into clearing fun trails for guests to enjoy. I visited solo & was able to get 1 bar of service in the parking lot to check in with my family daily. I can’t wait to return, and hope to do so many times in the future!

Peaceful cabin with beautiful surroundings. Loved the cabin’s artistic flair. The host, Evan, was super responsive and immediately took care of a minor issue with the sink. It was fun getting to know more of the owner’s story and his projects. There are other structures on the grounds that show their artwork. The view from the porch was awesome - a little pond with frog and bird sounds. The bed was very comfortable and it was totally quiet. The kitchenette had all the basics. Very enjoyable stay!

This was our second time staying at Gary's place. The cabin has everything you could need and more. The hot tub is a great addition after a long day. It is extremely convenient to OU. We would recommend this place to anyone staying in the area. We will certainly come again.
