Andre was a fantastic host. There was a very generous welcome basket, including wine, waiting for us on the kitchen table. He responded quickly to our inquiries and provided a very helpful list of local attractions and restaurants. The house was well equipped, very clean and perfectly located for exploring Sao Miguel. We would definitely recommend this house and Andre as a host.

We had a wonderful time. The people in the village are very friendly. And because of the festival we enjoyed the local entertainment complete with a front row seat to a bull fight Out in front of the house!

Absolutely amazing place for a couple of days of relaxation. The top balcony is great as you can see the sun set and enjoy the sea view while having dinner. Comfortable bed and plenty of pillows and even gives you coffee capsules and a water just in case. 5 stars

The check-in was extremely easy and flexible, with the key stored in a safe. Joana had proactively provided us with all the relevant information beforehand. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by Maria Madalena. The accommodation was exceptionally clean and modernly furnished—we felt right at home! Additionally, a selection of delicious local products awaited us. We were able to park our car directly in front of the door on the sidewalk. We had an incredibly beautiful week in Mosteiros and would gladly come back anytime. Muito obrigado, Maria Madalena and Joana!

spectacular host and location!

The house has been rebuilt according to the ancestral style. It's very nice and successful. The farm animals, the duck, chicken, and turkey eggs they tasted us were well appreciated. Hosts gave us lots of helpful information and were quick to respond to our messages. The house is well located for exploring the island. A tip, don't be like us. We followed our GPS and climbed instead of going down Caminho de Igreja street. If you follow the instructions to the letter, the path is fine.

Wonderful house in a beautiful location. It was clean, cozy, and had everything we need. The town is quiet and right along the coast. The road is in good shape but it is a bit of a drive to the major towns and restaurants (30-45 minutes).

Luis was an outstanding host, super responsible, very kind, down to earth and very amicable, and the value of the place was very good, I will highly recommend this place. Fernando

Peaceful stay with beautiful views We had a very pleasant stay at this holiday home on the Azores. The house is surrounded by lush greenery and flowers, which made the atmosphere feel calm and refreshing. One of the highlights was definitely the view, you can see the hills and ocean in the distance, and it’s especially beautiful in the early morning or at sunset. The house itself was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. We really appreciated the quiet setting, away from the more crowded parts of the island. Overall, a great spot to unwind and enjoy the natural beauty of the Azores.

Great house, amazing view and also great restaurant nearby. The hosts were very responsive and always happy to help. The WIFI was a bit temperamental but overall we had an amazing stay.

The host Cristina was great. Very responsive to questions and requests. The house was amazing. Lots of room, great pool. I would recommend booking the house if you are going to stay in Sao Miguel. I had an incredible 3 night stay at this property, the pictures do not show it off enough. The views are impecable, with a lot of nature around and the most comfortable grass..! I hope you visit again, thank you

The place was fabulous, Roberto was a great accommodating host. We would definitely come back if we come back to Sao Miguel. The house is great for a large group, with large accommodating rooms, a beautiful backyard with an amazing view. Location is central on the island so not more than 40 min drive to anywhere you would like to go, 20 min to Ponta Delgada (the largest town/city). Only comment for improvement would be the air conditioning, it is only in one area of the house, not throughout, so the bedrooms can be warm if you are a custom to A/C in bedrooms. We really enjoyed our stay! Thank you Roberto.

Our stay was perfect. The location couldn’t have been better. Peaceful. Nice to be out of downtown Ponta Delgada- but convenient enough to get to and enjoy the Festival and the city when we wanted to. The house is strategically located on the south shore and perfectly located to drive to the island’s sites. A couple very nice restaurants are within easy walking distance. The ocean pools are right across the street. We enjoyed whale watching, hiking and traversing the Island, seeing all the sites. Ludovic was a txt away and helped out whenever we needed! Our 8 day stay went by so quickly, but it was wonderful.

My stay at this Airbnb property was absolutely wonderful! From the moment I booked, the host was incredibly responsive and provided swift communication, making the entire process smooth and hassle-free. The property itself is nestled in a beautiful and safe area, which added to the overall experience. I felt completely at ease during my stay, knowing I was in such a secure neighborhood. One of the highlights was the clean and spacious swimming pool. It was a perfect spot to relax and unwind after a day of exploring. The pool area was well-maintained and provided a lovely oasis to soak up the sun. The house was equipped with everything needed for daily life, from kitchen essentials to cozy living spaces. It was clear that the host had thought of everything to make guests feel at home. Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a comfortable and inviting place to stay!

This place was incredible. Very scenic and peaceful. We loved the sounds of the animals, the cows and the odd cat that would show up. This house was in pristine condition and very cozy. I’ve never had a more informative and smooth check in anywhere. The pool was exceptionally warm and perfect if you have kids. We would definitely recommend this place and come back.

Maria was responsive and the house met the needs of my 9 family members well. Had a great time and it was easy to taxi into Ponta delgada for dinner.

We decided to stay at the Airbnb very late in the evening. Romana still got the house ready for us, helped us to do our laundries and was there for any of our questions. We were welcomed with a nice tea and homemade bread, it was just all in all great! We highly recommend going there.

Great stay at Patricia's, the accommodation is ideally located, close to Horta and the marina, with a very nice sea view. I recommend it!

We were looking to enjoy the amazing coast daily on foot and this spot was perfect. Very little elevation change to walk a 3 mile loop each day while enjoying the beauty of the coast from one end of town to the other. Beautiful sunset at the beach just steps away! The locals were very friendly and Andre will take the best of care to make sure you have an equally enjoyable experience!

Maria Ines is the best host possible! She was kind and responsive, always giving great suggestions and tips about the island! She was flexible with the check in to accommodate our early flight timing. Our stay at the Airbnb was wonderful, it was quiet and peaceful- not to mention beautiful. I would absolutely stay there again if I visit the island! The house was immaculate and entices you to relax there when you’re not exploring the island. Maria went above and beyond, even when we left some clothing behind at the Airbnb, she connected with her friends on the island to return it back!! It was unbelievable. She has many connections throughout Sao Miguel and a wealth of knowledge to truly enhance your visit! Could not recommend her more.

After spending eight days on Sao Miguel we had a good opportunity to compare localities. Our preference is for somewhere quiet and this fit perfectly. We could drive to places within 20 minutes for coffee and meals. My wife’s parents and brother immigrated from Porto Formoso and she was delighted to be close to their origins. The home is beautiful and comfortable. We arrived at the end of March/early April and were happy to have the fireplace to take the chill off the evenings. The stovetop was a bit of a mystery but, with help from YouTube, we managed to enjoy several cups of local tea. I would love to visit again and if I do this will be my number one choice for a place to “call home”.

We loved our stay by the water on Pico island. The house has great amenities and is comfortable for two people. We cooked one dinner and had enough basic ingredients to use (salt, pepper, oil, vinegar) as well as pots and utensils. The best part was the lovely welcome package with coffee, milk, bread, fruit, cheese and jam! It was so delicious and was perfect for fresh breakfast. The host was very friendly and communicated very well and there was a great house manual which helped answer our questions. The weather was not great during our stay but we did walk down to swim and it was not far and very nice to have the natural pool. We wish we could have gotten more use out of the beautiful patio and outdoor fireplace. You definitely need a car. We found the drive coming in a bit steep but got used to it and there were not many cars around. It was a very enjoyable stay!
