House holiday rentals in Balloch

Andy’s house is fantastic for a celebration weekend. Twelve of us stayed there comfortably and there is so much public space that it’s easy to do different things yet assemble for meals. The view from the conservatory and garden is stunning. We had one person in a wheelchair and the house worked well for him too. Andy and Joan were welcoming and helpful.

Recently visited Pleasant Hill for Hen Weekend. We had previously been let down by another house and Chris was extremely helpful and reassuring. 17 of us stayed for the weekend and the house was perfect for what we needed it for. Chris was in constant contact with me, gave plenty of recommendations for local amenities and attractions and was flexible on check in and check out times. For such a large party, buying food was a concern of mines but he suggested we do an online shop beforehand and offered to collect it and put it away for us before we arrived. This really was a massive help and greatly appreciated, it was one less worry and concern I had in the run up to the weekend. Our bride and all guests had a fantastic weekend. Thank you!

We had a lovely long weekend at Tarken House. The views are beautiful. The house is spacious, well stocked and easily accommodated the 10 of us, all adults. House was lovely and warm and very clean. Beds are very comfortable and good size en-suites. Jonathon was very quick to respond to any queries we had. Would highly recommend Tarken House and definitely be back again.

We loved the house and Drymen. The added bonus of the use of the pool, sauna and jacuzzi was brilliant. The house was comfortable and homely. Drymen was a lovely little village with lovely pubs, cafes and walks. Along the road there was a beautiful view out over Loch Lomond. I would really recommend. Jim was super helpful and let us in a little bit early, thank you so much.

The park itself is a 1 way system and the caravan was quite high up. However we stopped to speak to groundsmen on site who straight away said follow me I’ll take you to the caravan. All staff were lovely. The caravan was as described. Very homely and modern. The outdoor space is amazing with lovely rattan furniture and hot tub. We used the hot tub everyday and it’s big enough for 6 people. The weather unfortunately wasn’t on our side all week so we didn’t dine outside. However I would definitely return. We had a slight issue with heating the first night. Lisa was back and forth messaging and said she would contact staff at reception to rectify the next day. However this was sorted over text in the end. An amazing stay, great views across the water. It was beautiful x

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, Douglas is an attentive host who was available when needed. The bungalow was equipped with everything we needed for cooking and resting which was much appreciated as our stay was over Christmas! Douglas very kindly gifted some wine and chocolates and he was there for our arrival to show us around the house, giving some useful information on nearby shops, places to eat and things to do. We were unfortunate with the weather; however, the bungalow was very cosy and thoughtfully decorated for Christmas and time spent inside looking out at the fabulous views made up for it!

Had an amazing stay at this beautiful cottage 2 nights were not enough to fully appreciate the internal and external space. Very homely feeling.

Another great stay at Mary's wonderful accommodation! I cannot rate it highly enough and will be returning again in the near future!

we really enjoyed Rosebank as a base for few days around loch lomond. the hot tub was a real treat to start the day!

Lovely 2 night stay in a beautiful location surrounded by cattle and a beautiful walk nearby to the home.

Beautiful home in a stunning quiet location. Everything was spotlessly clean with fixtures of a high standard. Kitchen had everything we needed. Main bedroom was big, bright and extremely comfortable. The views from all windows are really lovey, with established gardens and well cared for flowers and lawns. A short walk takes you into town where there are lots of nice places to eat, shop and relax. Everyone we met was super friendly and helpful. The beach is only a few minutes walk away and offers stunning views (and great fish n’ chips!) There is a long private driveway which could easily fit two cars. Mary was excellent at keeping in touch with us - and gave very clear instructions for finding and getting into the house. We brought our two young boys along, who made themselves at home immediately and loved every minute we spent there, and loved exploring the area. There is so much to see in and around Helensburgh. It was also lovely and quiet at night. A great place to stay!

Just home from a lovely family holiday. The place was great to fit us all in with plenty of space and lots to do in walking distance of the house, couldn’t be in a better locations. Made some lovely family memories to celebrate my parent 40th wedding anniversary. Colin and heather had the place decorated amazing before we got there - such a lovely touch! Thanks again! I seriously want to gatekeep this house, but it is so incredible and needs to be shared. I would go out of my way to stay here again. Probably the best Airbnb we’ve ever stayed in. There were so many welcoming touches and it truly felt like home. The beds were comfortable, the rooms so spacious, the showers amazing (my gosh the water pressure, what a dream). We had everything we needed and more. The home and grounds were just stunning. We walked to dinner two of our nights and ate in the others. The history of the carriage house was so cool; the kids loved finding all of the hidden touches. Kylie and Scott were warm and friendly and we are so grateful they shared their home with us. We had the best hiking trip in beautiful Scotland and we were very sad to leave. I definitely hope to be booking a return trip soon.

We have a lovely stay and enjoyed the amazing views!! Elizabeth was incredibly responsive and quick to help when we needed anything. We would highly recommend! There are two small things to just be aware of in advance. 1) There are quite a few stairs getting down to the home. Just a caution for anyone with mobility impairments. 2) Selecting “get directions” through Apple Maps or Google Maps in the listing link does not take you to the correct place, nor does manually typing the address. You can get there by using the home’s coordinates or searching for Auchenheglish Mid Lodge.

We can’t say enough good about this beautiful space. The suite and grounds were Prestine. Decor is beautiful. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. The overall space was very comfortable for 2 couples. We will happily recommend this suite and area to all friends and family travelling to Scotland.

Wonderful stay! The cottage is beautiful and has all the amenities you could want! An excellent location to explore Luss and the Highlands. Morag was delightful to work with and welcomed us with fresh flowers and local delicacies as well as coffee and tea. We can’t wait to come back!

Perfect, peaceful location with amazing views of the the loch. Beautiful lodge would definitely return.

We stayed for a week for my partners birthday and had the most incredible time. The views were stunning and you could just sit all day and watch the wildlife on the lake! Beds were comfy and had all the amenities you needed. We didn’t want to leave!

Cosy Corner has a compact design and was very clean. The bedroom on the first floor had a lovely connected bathroom. The bed was king sized for taller folk. Downstairs there is also powder room. The renovations and colour schemes on the cottage are delightful. Good access to surrounding suburbs of Glasgow which was important to our stay.

We (two adults and a four-year old) greatly enjoyed our stay at Frost Pocket while visiting family in the local area. The house is very comfortable and nicely furnished. We made much use of the two-minute walk to the coastal path and short distance to the playground at Lunderston Bay! Also very convenient for popping up to Gourock or down to Largs. Would certainly stay again.

Adrian was really helpful and friendly - very kind when our son was stung by a bee! The house was exactly as advertised and perfect for what we needed with our three children and dog. It was spacious and well equipped. The views were stunning from the house, especially in the evening sunshine on the terrace. The sheep in the neighbouring garden were loved by our children. Beautiful walks to waterfalls and the loch nearby. We enjoyed our halfterm week visiting family, national trust house, Loch Lomond, Glasgow and beyond. Great location for exploring this part of Scotland.

The accommodation has everything you need and a lot more besides. It’s incredibly comfortable in every aspect. Views from the decking of the loch are stunning. We had a most enjoyable stay and highly recommend to anyone wanting a luxury accommodation in a beautiful and tranquil location.

Beautiful home in a great location close to the airport yet private and in a beautiful countryside. The house was perfect for a large family or group with a wonderful outside sitting area and great kitchen. Perfect base close to Glasgow for a Scotland visit.
