Cottage holiday rentals in Barlavento Algarvio

Un paradís aïllat excepcional. Vam estar-hi allotjats una setmana per visitar l’Algarve i vam estar-hi en parella i amb la nostra gosseta que va estar-hi encantada. La Silvia ens va facilitar les instruccions per arribar correctament a la casa (no seguir el gps). El lloc és molt tranquil, aïllat i s’hi arriba per un camí de terra aplanat entre vinyes. La casa és de fusta i molt grossa i espaiosa. Té una terrassa grossa tancada ideal per estar-s’hi llegint o jugant a jocs de taula. La casa està ben acabada i aïllada i té mosquiteres a totes les finestres. La cuina està molt ben equipada amb tots els utensilis i alguns ingredients bàsics. El jardí és ampli amb una piscina molt neta, de la qual la Silvia se n’ocupa diariament sense molestar. La Silvia ens ha facilitat qualsevol necessitat i n’estem molt contents; repetiriem l’estada sense dubte.

Fijne plek met een waanzinnig mooi strand in de buurt. Huis is fijn met veel plekjes om het huis om altijd in de zon of schaduw te kunnen zitten. Ook fijn dat de ruimte om het huis is afgeschermd met begroeiing en een hek ( ivm kleine kids). huis voelde heel schoon en met zorg ingericht. fijn aankomen met lichtjes aan en wat te drinken in de koelkast, ruim genoeg handdoeken en overal fijne geur en zeep etc. Heerlijk vertoeven in de hangmat en op de veranda. maar het adembenemende strand zo dichtbij het huis was echt het allerbeste.

Casa May is an idyllic place . The house is set in a beautiful garden which merges into the surrounding bush. Set about a kilometre from the main road , it epitomises peace and quiet.

Claire’s home is cozy and comfortable, with everything you need to make you feel at home. The garden is absolutely amazing, a little corner of paradise. We also enjoyed the little bar and shop that is only 3 minutes walk from the house. The closest beach is only 8 minutes drive, Lagos 25 minuets, etc. We recommend parking the car down the street as it’s not so easy to drive in and out if you don’t have experience with driving on narrow streets that go up and down :p.

Wunderschönes Haus! Sehr sauber und stilvoll eingerichtet! Wir hatten eine tolle Woche und haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Das Haus liegt etwas außerhalb von Silves mitten in der Natur. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Si quieres tener tú propia finca con piscina, jacuzzi y mini casita muy bonita con todo lo necesario a 20 minutos de una playa preciosa y 7 minutos desde Loule este es tu sitio. Stefano un anfitrión super atento, super simpático y preocupado por nuestra privacidad totalmente. A nosotros nos ayudó con un problema que tuvimos con el coche, nos acercó al pueblo y nos dejó herramientas. Recomiendo mucho este sitio.

Michaela’s property is truly outstanding we have never stayed anywhere so beautiful. Pool was heated to perfection(at an extra cost). The whole experience was great, we had an issue with the jacuzzi which we were paying extra for thus was dealt with as soon as we raised it and in a very professional way. Ana the hosts representative was a delightful lady and very responsive. We had simply the best family holiday in a beautiful villa, in a beautiful county. We are already planning our next stay in Michaela’s beautiful home.

Gostamos muito da estadia em casa do Carlos. O Carlos é um excelente anfitrião sempre disponível para ajudar e muito fácil de comunicar. A aldeia de Hortas de Tabual está rodeada de natureza e muito calma e tranquila. Localiza se perto de algumas praias. A casa está bem equipada e tem um excelente acesso à internet e um duche com pressão e bem quente. A cozinha está muito bem equipada apenas faltaram copos de vinho (que tenho a certeza que o Carlos nos resolvia facilmente) e o frigorífico podia ter mais potência de frio para as cervejas 😇 Gostamos muito e voltaremos a repetir

Super proper huisje, in een gezellige buurt. Alles was aanwezig wat we nodig hadden, zelfs een boekje met aanraders. De hosts waren super vriendelijk, behulpzaam, gaven veel tips en antwoorden zeer snel. We hebben hier een geweldige tijd gehad! Zeker een aanrader!!!

What an absolute gem! 💎 we didn’t want to stay in a resort and this was perfect, off the beaten track set in the most peaceful and beautiful surroundings. The house itself was ideal for us and our 2 young children - there was a cot, highchair, and loads of playthings both indoor and out 🤩 As a base it was perfect to explore - we could reach everywhere we wanted within about 1.5hrs but most places were much closer (would highly recommend Silves!). Evi was wonderful - super responsive and have loads of recommendations 😄 We would highly recommend and definitely stay again! ✨

This home is a beautiful farm house in the area - you feel right at home when you arrive and it makes you want to move in. The property is so peaceful, calming and great for kids and outdoor meals. The location is wonderful and right in the middle of all of the beaches in the area. The hosts are incredibly helpful and communicative (the best communication I've encountered with an airbnb) - always there to respond to you if you have questions and help with anything that comes up. The house is also incredibly well equipped for multiple guests and a longer stay - the photos don't reveal just how many dishes, pots and pans, and other supplies the home has. As well, the windows have screens which is a HUGE plus that many airbnbs in the area do not have. If you are there in cooler or wetter weather, the house does get a little bit damp if you are sensitive to that but that is pretty common for most places in the area and the hosts have put things in place to help with it.

we had a wonderful stay at lavender cottage whilst visiting Circuit of Portamao. Judite is a wonderful host and very helpful especially as we had a trailer with us she sent us very clear details of best route into the cottage with our trailer which was amazing. Lavender Cottage is beautiful place to relax with local bars and restaurants nearby. we will be recommending to all our friends that visit the area and we shall definitely be returning.

I had such a wonderful stay at this beautiful property! The space was peaceful, comfortable, and full of charm – the perfect spot to relax and unwind. Everything was spotless and thoughtfully arranged, and you can really feel the care that’s gone into creating such a welcoming environment. One of the unexpected highlights was getting to meet their three lovely dogs – Nuts, Thelma, and Louise. Each of them has such a sweet personality, and they added so much warmth and character to our stay. Thank you for the incredible hospitality – I hope to return again soon!

Sehr schöne und saubere Ferienwohnung mit zwei Balkonen. Der Pool ist sauber und großzügig, die Liegen und Sonnenschirme laden zum relaxen und chillen ein. Es gibt sogar ein Toilettenhäuschen. Das Apartment liegt nur einen Sekundensprung entfernt, sodass man jederzeit Getränke oder Verköstigungen aus der Küche und dem Kühlschrank holen kann. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig und die Kombination ideal zum Entspannen für Familien mit und ohne Kinder. Am Pool und auf dem Grundstück der Vermieter ist es schön grün und blumig. Benafim liegt zwar im Hinterland, für Urlauber mit Mietwagen sind die Fahrten aber eine angenehme Abwechslung zu den verschiedenen Ausflugszielen in der Algarve. Für uns, die wir gern auch auf Teneriffa mit dem Auto erkunden, vergleichbar gut gelegen. Den Trubel in Albufeira kann man in 30 min gut erfahren. Alles in allem eine schöne Unterkunft mit gutem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Wir sind sehr zufrieden und kommen gern wieder.

We had such a lovely stay, the accommodation was absolutely stunning and had everything you could ever need. We had 6 adults, 3 couples staying, I would just say that the third bedroom has two quite small bunk beds but still pretty comfortable, but probably not suitable for anyone massively tall. The decor around the place was amazing and Joanna was so attentive. We used the BBQ every night and the outside terrace was absolutely perfect. There were washing machine tablets, plus dishwasher tablets already at the house which was very kind instead of making people buy a whole pack just for a week’s stay. Joanna also gave us some good recommendations to do nearby and some restaurants. Highly recommend staying here, it was perfect. There were also loads of toys around the pool for families to use to take to the beach.

Hemos estado muy bien y desconectado que es lo que buscábamos. Nos alojamos en “casita alta” todos los detalles estaban bien cuidados y lo tienen todo muy bonito, se nota un gran trabajo. es una buena estancia para desconectar estando cerca de todo un poco. Apetece mucho estar en la piscina y darse un paseito por la finca. Si tuviese que mejorar algo de la experiencia es que en nuestra casita teníamos dos sillones, quizás por comodidad y como opinión personal pondría un sofá, un alojamiento así suele reservarse en pareja y poder compartir un sofá al final del día se agradece. Como digo es personal, otros preferirán el sillón. Por otro lado cenar en la terracita con el jardín y la vista ha sido muy agradable, la cocina está muy equipada, la cama es cómoda y Eduard y Ilse muy hospitalarios, así que muchas gracias por la experiencia.

Das Ferienhaus liegt in ruheoase mitten eines Mandelwaldes ( hoffe ich hab es erkannt) . Das Haus ist mit allem, was man so brauchen konnte, ausgestattet. Es sind auch Sachen da wie kaffee- Kapseln, Waschmittel, Salz &Öl sodass man die erste Tage alles hat, was man braucht. Die Kommunikation war problemlos, freundlich und schnell. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt und ich würde immer wieder gerne kommen.

Es war ein Traum Gast in dieser Unterkunft gewesen zu sein. Abseits von Lärm und Getümmel. Der Garten ist sehr privat und man ist für sich quasi allein und kann den Pool und das Sommerhaus einfach nur genießen und wunderbar abschalten. Das Sommerhaus und das Haus bietet alles was man benötigt. Die zwei Häuser liegen nur wenige Schritte voneinander entfernt. Was überhaupt kein Problem ist, in wenigen Sekunden sitzt man schon am Pool. Wir haben von dort allerlei Sehenswürdigkeiten und Strände der Algarve entdeckt und für die tolle Unterkunft nimmt man auch gerne Fahrzeiten von 30 - 60 Minuten in Kauf. Ebenso wurde uns aufgrund unserer späten Ankunft allerlei Frühstückssachen für den nächsten Tag eingekauft. Eine tolle Aufmerksamkeit. Danke für die tolle Zeit!

We stayed at this beautiful villa for 3 nights celebrating a hen do. We where greeted on arrival by Kola our lovely host, he was absolutely fantastic and allowed us to decorate to make the stay extra special for the bride, he also took us to the local Aldi to help assist with the shopping and show us the route on getting there. We can’t personally thank Kola enough for making our stay so warm & welcoming. The location is beautiful only a 10 min drive in an uber to the old town. The villa exceeded all expectations & our stay from start to finish was perfect! I cannot recommend this villa enough if you’re visiting Albufeira :) thank you again for your hospitality, this was a very special stay ❤️

Had a lovely stay in Marta’s beautiful apartment! Was very clean and had everything I needed. Loved the private terrace, perfect to sit outside and enjoy my morning coffee. Thanks Marta!

Maria Helena's place looked as shown in the pictures. A special feature is a good-sized pool and many sun loungers around the pool to accommodate a larger group. We also liked the historic feel and look of the house, while all the modern amenities are there. A large terrace with a seating area and dining table provides a nice place to relax all day (incl. late evenings and early mornings with a sunrise). Great views from the terrace to the surrounding countryside - the house is private with a good distance from the other houses. You would need a car to get to the shops, etc., but it takes only 10-15 minutes to get to the shops in Lagos. Many local restaurants are even closer. Overall, it was a lovely holiday. Maria Helena is also an excellent host. She gives advice at the beginning and stays a few minutes away by phone if you have any questions or concerns. She also kindly let us stay longer on our check-out day as we had a late afternoon flight back home.

Das Haus hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Es ist über mehrere Etagen; die Schlafzimmer sind im Untergeschoss. Der Wohn-Ess-Küchen-Bereich ist riesig. Von der Terrasse hat man einen genialen Blick zum Strand und kann die Surfer beobachten. Wir haben es geliebt, dort zu frühstücken. Hugo war sehr hilfsbereit und war bei unserer Ankunft anwesend. So konnten wir einige kleinere Probleme sofort lösen. Auch sonst war er sehr reaktionsschnell und hat gleich geantwortet. Entlang der Küste kann man schöne Wanderungen machen.
