Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Barry County

We had a lovely stay. The house is clean and well decorated with high quality materials and no clutter. There was a glitch with the internet service and Fede was incredibly responsive in getting it cleared up and was very gracious as well so we didn’t feel like a bother. The lake was beautiful and quiet during the week very early in spring. It was far too windy to take the kayaks out. The kitchen was well stocked with attractive dishes and silverware. The cooking equipment was good quality but extremely limited. Normally I would cook meals but we relied on restaurants (eat in and take out) instead given the situation. Angela gave us extensive recommendations for all types of places in the area which were very helpful and much appreciated. We enjoyed exploring the area and were very comfortable and relaxed in Angela and Fede’s lovely lake house.

We had a great stay. The lake and surrounding area is beautiful. Kitchen had everything we needed to make some quick meals. Bathrooms, kitchen and bedrooms were all very clean. Danielle was very quick to respond whenever I messaged with a question.

Mark’s place was absolutely stunning! Sits right on Gun Lake. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets can be seen from front to back. Extremely clean & full of whatever supplies you may need. Very communicative & knowledgeable of the area.

This place was incredibly amazing. I was very happy with our stay. Extremely organized also had things labeled where things were and how to do things. This was a short stay but, this would be great for a long stay with children. Beautiful place.

We had a great time staying at the Gun Lake property. Having kids in our party ranging from age 11 to 18 the game room provided lots of evening fun. Both homes were extremely clean and well maintained.

We loved our stay! Exactly what we expected! Plenty of interior space! Bed and bathrooms were very clean. Kitchen had all the tools we needed to cook big meals. The big table looking out on the water was perfect for our family. We also enjoyed finding the Mooville Dairy that wasn’t far. My kids enjoyed the petting zoo and play areas. Very cheap. Ice cream was a hit! We look to go back. Fishing was great! Caught basically all day, especially in the evening right off the dock. Felt very safe the whole time and very peaceful experience. Our crew will be coming back!

Such a great time! We didn’t have much time to hangout and fully enjoy the property but for the weekend stay and getting back around 7-9 I must say what a wonderful and serene place to just sit down and relax after a long day. House was all in order as described, plenty of room for all the cars and people to spread out and sleep. We had 11 adults, brought a cot and air mattress which didn’t get used and we still had beds or places that weren’t slept in. I’m any direction you go it just feels like your up north and out in the woods! Great restaurants around the area and Can’t say enough great things about or stay and experience we had here in Hastings at Erin’s place. 10/5 would stay there again and hope we have more time to enjoy the beautiful lake and property! Thank you very much!

Bert’s home was beautiful and perfect for our girls weekend! The backyard was gorgeous and the pool and hot tub were so much fun! The home is in a beautiful neighborhood, while still being a close drive to downtown GR. They hosts accommodated our early check in request and were very friendly and easy to communicate with. We would love to come back to stay in the future! 😊

Our stay at Silo Gardens was even better than we anticipated. The goats, the peacocks, the gardens, and the host, Pat, were all wonderful. The bed and the sofas were comfortable and the shower is great. It was too cold for us to swim but we enjoyed sitting poolside. It was awesome to relax in the lovely country setting and yet we had an excellent breakfast experience at the Riverwalk Cafe only a few miles away. Pat is an exceptional host, willing and eager to give you a tour so guests can interact with and learn about the animals, but also respects your space. We’d love to go back. Next time we swim and make soap!

We really enjoyed our stay here - it was a very comfortable home in a sweet neighborhood and conveniently located to restaurants, stores, etc.

One of the best Air BnBs I’ve rented! Place was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. We had kids of all ages and there were a lot of games indoor and outdoor for all of them plus the adults too! The bounce house, pool, and hot tub were used all weekend by everyone and the deck is perfect for hanging out. Drove out to Silver Lake and took some rides around the sand dunes, which was an easy 1 1/2 hr drive from the house. We even used the pizza oven and it was fantastic. The cherry on top was that the day of checkout we didn’t have to strip the beds, start the laundry, sweep/vacuum, and other things Air BnBs usually want done when you’re also paying a hefty cleaning fee!! This place was worth every penny and would not hesitate to book here again.

Jared was a great host. The house was clean and comfortable and all the amenities made it even better. Enjoyed the view as well!

The apartment is so cute and well furnished. The area can be a little nerve wracking if you’ve never visited down town areas but we always felt safe and it was a good spot right outside of all of the thrift stores or bars. We traveled all over and just used it for sleeping but the apartment was cozy and we always found ourselves turning in early to crash on the couch. Good stay, would do again!

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at The Beech House. Loved that it is pet friendly and has a pool.

This place was SO nice for the price and especially the location!! not to mention the huge relaxing hot tub on the property. wish i could have stayed longer!!

What a delightful property… house on a hill overlooking the lake, near a public boat access, grassy hills, fire pits and surrounded by lush greenery for lots of privacy. The cute, practical, older beach-access home with some cleaver and tasteful updates to the lower level bedroom and bathroom was perfect for us and 4 other couples. We especially enjoyed the view of the yard/lake from the sunroom! The home was clean, comfortable and Aaren was an excellent host! He responding to my questions quickly and attending to all our needs. We were disappointed that we didn’t have time to enjoy the fire pits, patio and outdoor lake-toys that were available to us. With 4 bedrooms/3 full bathrooms, this would be great for an extended family or multi-family get-away… I highly recommend!

Our stay at Matt's home was exactly what we needed to decompress. The surroundings were peaceful and nature was abundant. Highly recommend a stay here if you need to unplug.

Absolutely wonderful stay! Sally was a fantastic host — responsive and thoughtful. The property was very clean and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable and relaxing visit. The location is truly special — the gorgeous lake was the highlight, and we spent hours just sitting on the dock soaking up the sunshine. It’s also very kid-friendly, with plenty of space for everyone to spread out and enjoy. Highly recommend this spot for families or anyone looking to unwind in a peaceful, well-equipped setting.

Nice place. Very clean and organized. The hosts were very thoughtful with items in the unit (kitchen supplies, towels, sewing kit, welcome snacks, etc).

This place is great for a peaceful getaway. The house is super spacious and the description of the place is spot-on, still I would have loved direct access to the lake, direct access is on others private property, so it is necessary to make the drive to where the public can access the lake. We LOVED: The massage chair, the hot tub an the hassle free checkout requirements and time. Also Josh was a great and quick communicator. Some minor things that would have been nice: I wish there would have been some lighting around the hot tub area at night for better visibility and more pans for cooking would have been great. Overall, we will definitely consider coming back to Josh's place.

The cleanest Airbnb I’ve stayed at! We had severe weather during our stay and host went above and beyond to ensure we were safe. We were in town for a wedding and the place was wonderful. Thank you!!
