Giuseppe was a great host. Very responsive and friendly. The house was super clean and just like the pictures. The outdoor terrace on the Sassi is breathtaking and really add values to the stay. I would highly recommend or stay here again.

Great location and views

Beautiful apartment, with many quality details combined with the rusticity of the cave house. The combination is perfect. Marcella gave us many recommendations and was our tour guide. Very close to the restaurant area, bakeries, and souvenirs. It has unforgettable views!

Well designed and simply but effectively furnished accommodation, with good shower and facilities. There is good lighting and obvious electricity sockets if required. If you want to sit out for a late breakfast at the small table in the narrow entrance alleyway catches the sun for an hour or so (around 1100 when we were there in May). Plenty of local maps and information booklets were available. It is situated a short and reasonably level (only about 8 steps in total) walk from Piazza Vitoria Veneto, so a wheelie suitcase isn’t too much of a problem in the pedestrian only area. Good eateries and cafes nearby, but a gas hob is available if you want to eat in. Good property info folder. We used the secure car park recommended in your initial information - Garage Damasco. Although it cost €25 a day we felt we could leave it without any problems. One of the suggested experiences was Slow Food - Home Restaurant where we cooked an Italian meal in the chef’s home kitchen. Brilliant.

Could use a long list of words to describe the location and Matera. Stunning is the right one. Location is breathtaking. You feel like you are simply part of the stones.

We are so very grateful that we found Angela's place. It was a last minute booking for us and we didn't have very high expectations. If we would have had though, the high expectations would have been met!! We stayed in the loft apartment and it was very clean, very practical furnished and very quiet and peaceful. There was everything you needed. The pool was cold but I love that since it was hot summer when we visited. Sun all day on the sun chairs!! Her two dogs were lovely. Angela as a host is the best host I've ever had during all my airbnb stays. Very attentive, easy communication, super friendly and really helpful. I would most definitely come back to casa pistacchio. The house is located at the bottom of the city (its a steep and cool city!), and the accommodation provided parking. Grazie mille Angela 🫶

Casa di Mago was such a unique experience in a charming town. We enjoyed our time in Castlemezzano very much. Antonello was very responsive and a great host. The place is exactly as described and is very cool. Several great hiking experiences available. Loved it.

Great space. Large, comfortablyl furnished. A worthwhile unique experience. It's musky as noted, but not an issue for a few days and lart of the experience. The outdoor patio space could use a large sun umbrella to make it more functional in the blistering heat of Matera. The kitchen is very minimal, so I wouldn't plan to cook meals other than breakfast (but the nearby restaurants are too good to cook at home anyways). I would definitely recommend staying here.

A lovely, comfortable room in a great location in the old town of Matera

Excellent Sassi rental. Husband and I rented it for the night - and it really was magical. Flexible check in, located right off the main strip, with an easy walk to all major sites and restaurants. Romantic, quaint and perfectly matched the city’s charm and vibe. Highly recommend - and recommend at least two nights to get the full experience.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Moyseion's place for a night. It's truly an experience you won't get anywhere else in Matera. There is extremely much detail in this listing. Each room has its own theme that has a story behind it. In addition to the spaces, the staff is also extremely helpful and hospitable. You can ask them anything and they are happy to tell about the historical elements of the stay. We really enjoyed it and recommend it to anyone who is in doubt! P.S. If you have any doubts about joining the rituals, be sure to do so!
