Family-friendly holiday rentals in Bedford

We had the pleasure to stay for the month of August. Great location overlooking a lake, just a short walk to a small quiet beach on the ocean. An old railway track converted to biking/walking path close by. Close to groceries and restaurants. Great location for day trips to Peggy’s cove/Halifax boardwalk/many parks and beaches. The home had everything you need. Just bring your swim trunks and spirit of adventure. We highly recommend a stay at this lovely spot.

We came for the Hunter Moon and fell in love with the sunsets and walking on the beach. Lots of places to explore in the area.

This was our daughters first vacation out of the province so we were unsure of how it would go as she had just turned 4. We had such a lovely stay at Sarah's cozy lakefront cottage! It was peaceful and quiet — the perfect spot to relax and recharge. The location was great, with easy access to nearby attractions and some beautiful beaches close by as well as some others 1-2 hrs drive away. The host was friendly and made us feel right at home. The beds were really comfortable, which made for a great night’s sleep after days spent exploring. Our daughter was thrilled with all the toys available, and we really enjoyed the selection of board games for some fun family evenings. We’d absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a calm, family-friendly getaway. We’d love to come back some day - our daughter did not want to come home.

What a beautiful location. The suite had everything we needed and we fell asleep to the sound of the surf. Need to go back and stay longer!

Marvellous start of our 5+ weeks Nova Scotia - Newfoundland tour. Lovely apartment with outstanding view located directly at the beach.

Our family was coming for a wedding- it was a stunning place for us to gather and enjoy - reality- I wish would have been able to stay longer. I highly recommend this place- stunning space and great hosts. Can’t wait to come back. Thank you for everything.

Most of what I'm saying is echoing what other Guests have said - it's all still true for 2024: Morry is great to work with, cottage is clean and well-equipped,  the views here are wonderful, beds are comfy and the layout worked well for us with the two main floor bedrooms on opposite sides.  The kitchen is a good size and the two full bathrooms are like new. There's a great hike trailhead a stone's throw away and, if you haven't already, you will fall in love with Prospect, NS!!

This place was just what we needed for our stay in Halifax. We were within walking distance of local restaurants and a cycle shop where we could rent bikes. The inside was cosy, clean, and really made you feel welcome. Andrea was responsive and a lovely host! Would definitely recommend. :)

This was a very convenient location for our trip as it was close to the harbour and along a bus route which made getting around very easy. The apartment was very clean and tidy when we arrived and we had what we needed to make our stay comfortable. Since it is a basement we did encounter a few moths who chose to dwell with us but it was not unmanageable. The instructions given for accessing the apartment and house rules were very clearly laid out which made checking in and out easy.

We had an incredible trip at Candace's place. The home was stunning and was perfect for our group of 6. If you have the opportunity to book your trip to Halifax here, I would definitely recommend!

Barrie is a wonderful host and the location of this home is truly incredible. We had everything we needed, plus our own island! We hope to be back!

My family really enjoyed our stay here! It was such a convenient location. The beds were very cozy and we felt completely at home.

We stayed at Krista and Stephen's place for 2 months in the winter and it was fabulous! The house had so many wonderful amenities and the location was perfect. The dogs loved running around the yard and we were right beside a trail for wonderful morning walks. The sunset and sunrise views from the house are unbelievable. I'd highly recommend!

NICE PLACE IN A CHARMING RESIDENTIAL AREA OF HALIFAX We had a very good time in Peter's place. Everything we needed was available there, including very friendly and helpful conversations with Peter. We recommend Peter's place for people who enjoy privacy, calm and charming residential area. There is a direct and convenient bus service to downtown (# 7A and 7B).

We had a great stay. Perfect location as we went for our son’s convocation at SMU. Easy to get walk to downtown from there. It is on a busy street with people right outside at the bus stop so we were a little nervous about that but it turned out to be fine with very little noise. The apartment had everything we needed.

One of my favourite Air B&B’s to date! Angela was such a thoughtful host and all of her recommendations were incredible (Bar Kismet, The Narrows, parks, breweries, etc). We had our pup and it was the ideal place, especially for wanting to get around mainly on foot. LOVELY neighborhood. We can’t wait to come back!

Great location and lovely home

Catherine's place was the perfect spot! it's very private and is a nice big walk out basement with tall ceilings and a beautiful little backyard. it was very clean and had all the amenities that we needed. The kitchenette is small, but if you plan ahead it's very workable. the location is also very convenient - close to downtown.

One of those rare times when a house described as "stunning" really lives up to it. John's house near Halifax is beautiful and serene, all windows and wood and incredible views out to the water in the cove and ocean beyond. Surrounded by trees and a garden path down to the dock, it feels private but not isolated. Great house on the inside also - spotlessly clean, streamlined so there's no clutter but everything you need, simple but quite beautiful also. Comfortable beds, great kitchen and bathrooms and just full of sunlight. Can't imagine a better spot to relax and recharge, and close to lots of good hiking. John is super friendly and responsive, a great host - look forward to coming back.

My brother and I stayed at Sammi’s location for several days while we moved our mother to Moody Hall, enhanced care. His property was a peaceful place to stay at the end of a long and very stressful days. Close proximity to places to eat, shop and a quiet location. Fresh bed linens and fluffy white towels were appreciated. Shower is good and the kitchen and bathroom are spotless. I would recommend staying there.

We really enjoyed our stay at Adam and Ryan's apartment. Everything was exactly as listed and we enjoyed that we could walk everywhere we wanted to go. The waterfront was a nice little walk downhill, and the Citadel while a bit of a hike wasn't too bad and the weather was great for it. Lots of great restaurants within walking distance as well. While the listing notes that on-street parking g had some restrictions, we didn't have any issues finding somewhere to park. We would definitely stay here again the next time we visit Halifax!
