The most beautiful place, exceeding all expectations. The views are spectacular. We breathed in peace and tranquility. A fabulous place to celebrate my 80th birthday with the whole family -- 16 of us. Everyone was comfortable in the space. In addition to being the perfect host, Samantha provided surprise extras which was such fun! Just a few of the highlights: S'mores at the firepit, lobster dinners, seals, bald eagles and fireworks. She made our stay truly memorable. My family gives the place the highest recommendation.

Spent quite a while here for work and saw winter turn to spring. What an amazing place to stay! Right on the water, great views, and it’s so peaceful. Thanks Craig for being so flexible! Everything was up to par and then some. I hope to come back in the summer sometime and enjoy it again!

This house has a beautiful view of the lake!! The complementary water activity’s are worth booking!! We enjoyed our stay and will come back!! Make sure to walk out on the dock at night and look at the stars!!

Our stay at the Great Pond Airbnb was incredible! The house was beautiful, cozy, and fully stocked with all the amenities we needed. We especially loved the paddle boat—it was magical to take it out on the lake early in the morning and watch the sunrise. Truly a dream! Finding the place initially was a bit tricky (we missed some details in the instructions), and cell service in the area is spotty, so definitely screenshot directions beforehand. Once settled, though, it was perfect. Being just over an hour from Acadia National Park was a huge bonus! We had a blast hiking, especially on Precipice Trail (challenging but amazing!) and Beehive Trail for a slightly easier, but still fun option. This spot offered the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure. Highly recommend it if you're looking for a peaceful, nature-filled getaway!

Was a great place for a weekend get together with our family. Right on the water and a great throwback feel but with all the amenities.

Awesome place! Easy to find and awesome location. Shower was hot quickly. Bed was firm (which we love). Would go there again!

Adorable cottage, newly renovated. Perfect for two with an open space loft for one more. Kitchen is well stocked right down to the coffee. A good location if visiting Fort Knox, Mt. Barrie and not too far from Bar Harbor if that is on your list. Great stay, highly recommend. Beautiful view and private.

We had a very relaxing vacation. Verona Island is convenient for day trips to a number of attractions like Acadia, Camden and even Monhegan Island. Even when the weather was bad there was plenty of table space for puzzling, Bananagrams and Scrabble. The house was comfortable with views of the Penobscot River.

Had a great stay. The perfect getaway after a day of hiking in Acadia. Woodstove was great to take the chill out of the cool nights air.

Absolutely loved our stay here! If you're someone who enjoys being close to nature and traveling with your dog, this place is perfect. The surroundings are peaceful and green. Fabiola was super friendly and made everything easy from check-in to check-out. The house rules were clear and straightforward, which made the whole experience stress-free. We felt really welcomed and comfortable the entire time. All in all, a great stay—we’d definitely come back!

We felt right at home at LInda's place. It is beautifully furnished and decorated and there is plenty of space. Everything was spotless. Having a washer and dryer really made a difference. The cottage is close to a busy road so there was some road noise outside, but in the cottage it was quiet and peaceful. Linda is very friendly and helpful and had put out welcome muffins for us, which was such a nice touch. I would definitely stay here again!

Tucked in the woods of Orrington, Maine, this lakeside retreat offers a rare kind of stillness. Facing south on the water’s edge, it provides serene views of both sunrise and sunset that frame each day in quiet beauty. Wildlife is abundant, loons echo across the lake and deer move gently through the trees, yet the home is only a short drive from Bangor’s restaurants, trails, and conveniences. We initially booked for three nights but quickly extended to four. This place invites lingering. It’s easy to settle into the rhythm of the land, the lake, and the quiet. Inside, the home is curated with care including a lovely vinyl collection; late night jazz and morning classical set the perfect tone for slow coffee and reflection. The host was responsive and thoughtful throughout, making everything seamless. We will absolutely return and recommend this home to anyone seeking not just a place to stay, but a space to truly be.

Such an absolutely magical place to stay! My pup and I stayed for a month while I worked and played. Gorgeous views of the Beech Hill Pond and close enough to various towns for hiking, sightseeing and enjoying local food. Spent time on Deer Isle, MDI at Bar Harbour & Acadia, and even made the trek to Lubec. if you want to experience a wee bit of winter and early spring, mid to late March into April was the perfect time. We had a few inches of snow fall within the first few days of the trip. Don't hesitate to book this cottage!

We HiGHLY recommend Katy’s Seaside Cottage. It is a cozy, bright home away from home. Great location for hiking, nature, and ocean views. You can see the ocean from the property! I’m a sensitive sleeper and it was super quiet at night for sleeping and quiet during the day. Great kitchen full of everything you need to cook at home. Strong WiFi. I taught an online class no problem. Would definitely visit again.

This cottage was just what we were looking for as a weekend getaway! It was the perfect size ( there were four of us) with two bedrooms, a full bath, combo living room/dining area, kitchen, and the best part was a screened-in porch where we sipped our morning coffee and tea. The cottage was fully equipped with bedding, towels, soaps, wi-fi, dishes, plenty of pots and pans, and outdoor chairs. There were even toothbrushes in case you forgot yours! The cottage is not right on the beach, but a short path by the cabin takes you to a lovely little beach on Penobscot Bay where you can walk for miles, bring a towel or chair to sit and read, or take a dip in the ocean. And finally our contact, Daniel, was the best. He checked in on us and made sure we had everything and let us know to contact him anytime. We loved it so much we plan to go again in the fall!

Man-oh-man. This place is an absolute gem! We loved how very “Maine” it felt. The views were breathtaking, the house was comfortable and tidy, and Suzanne’s binder of recommendations and house instructions was very helpful. Walking Clark Island was so fun. We loved Camden and hiked Mt. Battie. Even took a day trip to Bar Harbor and biked around Acadia. If you want to kayak at Suzanne’s place, call Dan over at Ducktrap Kayak. He’s a very nice guy and the property is perfect for getting out on the water. All in all, it was a lovely trip and we would choose this stay again!

This home is perfect in every way. Amazing location, walkable to the beach, market, and restaurants. The surrounding towns that are must-visits with the most fabulous restaurants are just a quick drive. Also close enough for a day trip to Bar Harbor. Megan was such a great host, quick to respond and very helpful when we needed a last minute booking. The home itself is very spacious with absolutely everything you need for a comfortable, cozy stay! The exterior is beautiful with a view of the water across the road and the most idyllic green grassy garden area. We spent a lovely night fireside in the back yard. A must-book, centrally located, fantastic home!

The house looked cute on line but absolutely blew us away in person. The grounds are so pretty and peaceful and the house has everything you could want in a rural home away from home. Beautiful porches, lovely pathway to the water, many places to relax and explore nature. Beach access. Decorated so nicely and Lyndsay is so friendly and warm. Wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommend!

Five stars are not enough for this lovely accommodation. The setting was serene, quiet and accessible to all that the area has to offer; we got married at Acadia National Park and spent the rest of the week here. It couldn’t have been more perfect! The hosts, Carrie and Adam, were extremely kind, thoughtful and responsive. We will definitely want to come back soon.

Brynna was a great host and was very responsive to any questions or needs. The house was very comfortable, clean, and a very cute cottage. It was in a small village that was quiet and yet the very friendly. You were within few miles of bigger towns, but were able to return to the cottage and enjoy the Shoreline as well as walk in very pretty settings. I definitely recommend this as a vacation site.

(Written by Keith’s wife 🤣) : I am going to miss the conversation with Linsay! There became a point where I almost felt lost if I didn’t talk to her at least once a day! Lol 😂 We were supposed to return on 3/9, and Linsay had blocked time off for us, but plans changed and she was SO understanding!! Love her to pieces! ❤️ We will DEFINITELY be coming back just to visit - in warmer weather of course! Maine can keep their winters! 😂

Loved every minute in this cozy little cottage in the woods. The Hosts were fantastic. The property was both close lots (e.g. 45 minutes to Acadia and Bar Harbour, 15 minutes to Bucksport or Blue Hill mountain, 20 minutes from Ellsworth). I enjoyed both adventure and peace depending on the day.
