Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Bertie County

Location was close to where I needed, very spacious and peaceful. Mr. Richardson responded promptly to my concerns which shows he is attentive to the needs of guests.

We had a great stay in Merry Hill. Kate was very responsive and helpful. Jordan's Retreat was definitely a retreat for our family. The house was very clean and we had everything we needed, with some nice extra touches. Indoors and out, there are many places to rest and relax. The river is lovely and we enjoyed taking the kayaks out. It was so peaceful. The location is good and the drive to the Outer Banks is easy and makes a nice day trip. Nearby Edenton is a beautiful town with cute shops and nice coffee shops & restaurants.

This is a small house on a four-lane road, but there is moderate traffic most of the time and little traffic at night. It is tidy and clean, with a well-stocked kitchen, good linens, and comfortable furniture and beds. It is pet-friendly and there is a small, unfenced back yard, as well as good areas to walk a dog nearby. It is a little over a mile to the waterfront, and an easy walk down and back. A grocery story, fast food, a restaurant, and CVS and Walgreen's are located very close by for convenience. The major drawbacks are a busy road (which is not an issue most of the time) and the small bathroom, which didn't bother me but was a bit cramped for my husband who is a lot taller and could use more elbow room. We have stayed here four times now and find it a very reasonable place for a couple to four people to stay. We'd be happy to rent this house again.

This home was secluded and peaceful surrounded by beautiful country scenery. The old preserved structures on the property combined with the old pictures, paintings, and objects in the home was very interesting. It was very nice to read about some history of the original owners. Inside the place was very clean, neat, and open. Renovations in the kitchen were nicely done and the bathroom fixtures were unique. We loved the house for our family with all the rooms we needed for everyone. My parents were impressed and it was their first time experiencing an AirBnB stay. Our kids enjoyed the place as well playing on the piano and the swings outside. Mornings were great sitting on the front porch enjoying the peacefulness. This was a perfect location near some family we were visiting. We will definitely keep this place in mind and appreciate the opportunity to stay!

We’re returning guests for the 4th or 5th year. We always have a great experience with this host. A safe, secure site with good accommodations for four people. Steve continually updates the facility.

The host were extremely pleasant and responsive. The home was as described and very clean. The location was so relaxing and quiet. I highly recommend the host and location to anyone looking for a stay in the area. I will definitely be returning to the location when I am in the area.

Cozy and lovely cottage right on the river. Decor was bright and colorful. Comfortable bed, clean bathroom. Kitchen well stocked with dishes, pots, pans, etc. we enjoyed relaxing on the dock, on the deck and on the screened porch. Edenton is just a short drive away. We enjoyed dinner at Waterman’s Grill - delicious! Lunch at Govenors Pub - also delicious!

VanDee was very helpful and quick to offer information and respond to questions. Location was premiere with a water view across the park and within walking distance to restaurants and shops. The two cruiser bikes were in very good condition and we rode them all over town. Leather chair/ottoman was very comfortable. Highly recommend property and host!!

I had another great stay at Vonetta’s place. The place is always clean and I feel right at home. The internet was not working when I arrived, but I messaged Vonetta and she came right over to resolve the issue. I never hesitate to book this place because it’s clean and convenient.

This town was absolutely charming! We loved being able to walk around and try all the delicious food, definitely check out the Broad Street Diner and Edenton Coffee House, they were both great. The home was beautiful and in a great location. It was convenient for everything we wanted to do, and even the Outer Banks (OBX) wasn’t too far, which made it easy for us to take a day trip and explore. Overall, the location worked out perfectly! I hope to stay again!

I really enjoyed staying Stephanie’s place in Edenton. It’s the perfect location with walkable access to restaurants, coffee shops, and the water. I hope to stay again in the future. Stephanie was responsive and the home was incredibly comfortable. Two things to note that impacted my stay. I didn’t know there was a staircase that was somewhat narrow and a bit steep. If my parents were with me on this trip that would have impacted our stay. I might have missed their mention in the description though. Additionally, I used the home for a writing retreat. There were several places outside and nearby the home to work, but there are some very chatty birds making their home nearby so sleeping in or working in the bedrooms was a no go. All in all though 10/10 would recommend and stay again. Edenton is a lovely place with kind folks, great restaurants, and a ton of history and things to explore. This home is in a prime location with access to it all, with every amenity you’d need.

We enjoyed our stay, very clean and fast communication with the host about any questions. Had laundry in the building which was a big perk.

Kay and Justice are amazing. I just had a 10 day stay and it was amazing. The event space had everything I needed and everything was spotless. A beautiful place in a beautiful area. I will be staying here again. Kay was the perfect Host . I felt like I was at home. An incredible experience. Thank you Kay and Justice and Kenny ,very much.

There are Super Hosts and there are Super Duper Hosts and Jennifer is a Super Duper !!! I will never stay anywhere else!!! Amazing apartment and all the amenities you can imagine!!
