Cabin holiday rentals in Big Bear

We were in town for a wedding at the Shay Meadow Ranch and Resort. This was just far enough to be peaceful and quiet, but also close enough to walk the distance in ten minutes. The cabin feels big and our younger guests loved the video game console. There is a nice hot tub. When I saw the Puffs Plus tissue I knew, these guys are all about high quality. Went to get a knife and cutting board, again, high quality! Big fridge. Plenty of seating and a nice breakfast nook area. While I do enjoy wood fires, I also enjoyed not having to deal with ashes with the gas - easy on, easy off - fireplace. The main bathroom is huge and the master bathroom with a shower was great for us guys - the girls took over the main bathroom. Overall this is a great cabin for families, friends or a nice time with your significant other.

Jenn and Matt’s place is perfect for a quaint and cozy getaway. It’s a short drive to the lake and shops, but also removed enough to feel private and peaceful. The home is very calming— between the fireplace, hammock and hot tub, there are plenty of ways to relax 😊 We were looking for a way to disconnect from life in LA, and this was the perfect place! Thank you!

The coziest cabin + the best host. Jessika’s cabin was every bit as inviting, stylish and comfortable as pictured. The kitchen and bathroom are fully stocked and really well done. We stayed in June and were super happy that each bedroom had an AC unit. Comfy beds, the hot tub was great, and the back deck had space to lounge, grill and stargaze. But the real star is Jessika- she let us check in early and was flexible with the check out time too. Super informative and very cool. We plan on returning!

The perfect Airbnb! The highlight is the yard. Great fenced in yard for dogs, hot tub was easy to use and was super clean, hammocks were amazing to lounge back and you really feel the private space despite being on a pretty tight street. Appears to be a hiking trail at the end of the road. Easy drive to the village and the lake. Great modern amenities (like AC:Heater) but with the old school cabin charm. We will definitely be booking this again!

We had such a beautiful stay! Kaitlyn is super responsive and a thoughtful host. The home is thoughtfully decorated, the beds were super comfortable, and the view was peaceful and serene. The location was perfect — close enough to everything we needed, but tucked away just enough to feel like a true escape from our typical LA hustle. We especially loved grilling dinner and relaxing in the hot tub under the stars. A perfect weekend getaway spot!

My partner and I came up here for a weekend getaway for our anniversary. I had never been to big bear before and Brad and Amber’s home absolutely made our entire visit. The house is in an amazing area, quiet and private but just 5-10 minutes from all the action. The home was clean and pristine. It has the most amazing view and great patio space. Amber and Brad were so kind and responsive- we could tell that they really cared about our stay! We will absolutely be back soon and we can’t wait to stay here again.

Loved our time at the Happy Fox Retreat! Our hosts, Leanne and Dan, were extremely responsive and friendly. When the power in the whole valley was shut off (by the city) due to the winds, Dan called us to check in on us, which was such a nice thing to do! The cabin was super cute, clean, and just perfect for us. The spa was amazing, the record collection had some of our favorites (Eagles greatest hits…The Beatles!) and the projector and sound system were the icing on the cake. We can’t wait to go back! Thanks Leanne and Dan! Your attention to details and kindness made our anniversary get away super memorable and perfect! Highly recommend! It won’t disappoint!

5 Stars / All around great stay. Tom’s chalet is located amidst the top of the pines. The views from the kitchen and deck are striking; there is nothing like it. We stay in BB several times a year but had not experienced a stay in MoonRidge. It’s an ideal location, a short drive to necessities, golf, slopes, lake, and hiking. What we loved most about the location was that we were truly in the forest but without the distance that can make other locations inconvenient. The stay is 3 levels with a fun upper loft, kitchen/dining, living room, and bathroom 1 of 2, all on the main entry level. The lower level houses the primary and secondary bedrooms, cave spa bathroom, sauna/laundry, and access to the backyard amenities. There are stairs! I have a knee revision & the stairs were doable because of carpeting & railings. No problems. Kitchen/BBQ: Amazing! We only dined out once during our stay. Fully stocked kitchen. The Viking is my GOAT! The hubs raved about the BBQ. A gourmet’s cabin.

We would love to come back! The cabin was exactly as described - our 16.5 month old son loved walking around in the fenced yard. We loved that the interior was practically baby proof, had a high chair and many details that we could see had been thought about thoroughly. The kitchen and living room were spacious, and our son loved playing with the bath toys. It's great value as the main big bear area was only 14 minutes drive away. The cabin was also easy to find and very clean.

The stay was exactly what we were looking for. Super cute and clean. Will definitely come back in the future!

Quiet location. VERY close to hiking trails. Fully fenced in yard made it desirable to bring our pup and keep him safely contained. Clean, relaxing, peaceful. House has great outdoor space with grill, fire pit, hammock, table, enclosed front deck (great in afternoon) and lots of trees on property. Felt very private and safe even though there are houses on adjacent lots. Dena was very proactive with instructions and thought of everything to make you feel at home (including iPhone chargers next to bed). I did not need to reach out at all during stay but have no doubt Dena would respond quickly to remedy any unforeseen issues. Hope to come back and enjoy the space and Big Bear again soon! Perfect place for our 2 night quick trip stay with our dog. Yard was perfect, home was cute, comfy and cozy. Really appreciate the fact Alejandro doesn’t charge a pet fee, makes these trips with our dog memorable as she loves the lake. Def plan to stay in the future.

This place was perfect! The house was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The highlight for us was the backyard — it was spacious, fully fenced, and perfect for our German Shepherd to run and play safely. Eric was responsive and friendly and everything was just as described. Highly recommend, especially if you have dogs!

Chase’s cabin was perfect for our family getaway! The kids were thrilled with the toys and bunk beds, and we loved how fully stocked the kitchen and coffee bar were—so thoughtful! Twinkle lights, a cozy fire pit, and that backyard view 😍 made evenings magical. Communication was excellent from start to finish, and the location was ideal—just a quick, easy drive to Big Bear and the heart of town. This cabin had everything we needed (and more) to relax and enjoy every minute. Highly recommend!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 10/10 Stay! The house in Big Bear was incredibly cozy and well-kept. We especially loved the DVD player and the great selection of movies—it was such a fun touch! The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful, perfect for relaxing. The host was extremely responsive and helpful throughout our stay. The back porch was beautifully shaded and maintained, and the front porch had two charming chairs that were perfect for morning coffee. All in all, a fantastic experience—10 out of 10!

Beautiful stay, well appointed accommodations, comfortable sofa in the main room, lovely wood burning fireplace, and updated features like NEST climate control. Bathtub was fabulous and bathrooms were modern and squeaky clean! Great stay, would recommend.

I had an amazing time at Ben's cabin! It was very quiet and nestled in the woods. It had all the amenities of home and a great place to come back to after going out to town and doing activities around the lake. There was so much room to spread out and the couches and beds were extremely comfortable, which made decompressing easy. I would definitely stay again.

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy little cabin! It was the perfect size for our small family and our dog. The space was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing few days. One of our favorite parts was the backyard—the Jacuzzi was a huge plus and there was plenty of room for our pup to run around safely, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Our son had a great time too, thanks to the variety of games and activities available in the cabin. It kept him busy and happy the entire trip. Another big plus was the AC upstairs—it worked really well and kept us nice and cool even during the warmer afternoons. All in all, it was a great spot for a family getaway!
