Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Bonnington, Edinburgh

Melissa’s flat has been put together with so much thought, it is stylish, cosy, and comfortable. It is perfectly located to be walkable for all the main sites in Edinburgh and has lots of nice restaurants, coffee shops, and bars nearby (and Melissa provided a guidebook to help find the best spots). Melissa was incredibly accommodating and even arranged an infant cot for us. Would absolutely stay again!

We really enjoyed our stay! The cottage is very cozy and had everything we needed for a relaxing break. Our toddler especially loved exploring outside and had a great time running around the old Kirk next door. A lovely, peaceful spot—we’d definitely stay again!

This beautiful home held everything we were looking for. The area is very walkable and peaceful. Kenneth was lovely to welcome us and we had everything we needed. Lovely stay!

What stunning views and such a tranquil location. Loved our stay and hosts were so accommodating when we were a little late and they opened up for our grocery delivery driver! We are a family of four with a dog and loved using the enclosed garden, bbq and fire pit. Beds are comfortable and showers are super. Even the sofa bed is great! Would stay again. We had a fantastic stay at Green Cottage. Craig was very helpful from the start with travel tips and luggage drop off information. Craig provided very useful information for checking in and locating the cottage, everything was easy to follow. The cottage is in a lovely location, within walking distance of the Royal Botantial Gardens and the coast line. It is also near many bus routes and easy to visit all the tourist sites in Edinburgh.

A great base for visiting Edinburgh. Lovely accommodation; peaceful neighbourhood and very easy transport links into the city. Can also highly recommend the Riccarton Inn, within a few minutes walk - great food and drinks selection and the Tuesday night quiz is good fun. Fiona is an excellent host - very responsive, clear communication and very proactive to make sure your stay is a good one. Would definitely stay here again.

We had an amazing stay at Skye's. She and her mum Rosie were so lovely, kind and accommodating and made us feel at home. The flat is beautiful, cosy and was super clean. Rosie gave us lots of recommendations for our time in Edinburgh which was much appreciated. The flat is super well-located among lots of lovely cafes and shops, near Arthurs Seat and an easy walk or bus ride into the centre. Amazing value for money in an otherwise expensive city for accommodation. We will definitely return next time we are in Edinburgh!

Great location with views of Edinburgh Castle just a block away. The tram stop was less than a 5 minute walk as well. The apartment is well decorated and had everything we needed. Greg provided many recommendations and always responded timely. Princes Street and George Street are less than 5 minutes away.

Francois went above and beyond - he received us at the flat and walked us through the use of the appliances and the flat in general, and gave us wonderful recommendations of pubs and other shops nearby. He left out some lovely local shortbread cookies and local beers, and provided everything we would need for our stay, including laundry detergent. If you need anything during your stay or have questions, he is very quick to respond. Just a wonderful host all around. The flat itself was perfect for the 4 of us (2 couples). We loved being in the center of pub life. It was very lively! Walkable to almost all of the main sights. If you are looking for a quiet retreat, I would not recommend this flat, but if you want a livelier place to enjoy Scottish pubs and nightlife, this place is perfect.

Craig and Holly were extremely responsive and went above and beyond. They even ordered us a second booster seat highchair for our two babies. They had a healthy supply of toys for the children, and the house was very baby proof. The flat is beautiful, close to everything (pubs and restuarants), and just overall so peacefully to be in. It hosted 7 adults and two children very comfortably. Each room was very soundproof so it made it feel like each couple in each room could truly retreat into their own space. Overall, just a great a great experience overall with the hosts, the space and location.

Yvonne’s place was perfect for a visit to Edinburgh. Location was close and walkable to the train station, sight seeing, shops and restaurants. Yvonne responded quickly when we had questions. She made sure we had everything we needed. She went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. Highly recommend if you are planning a stay in Edinburgh.

This is a small flat that is completely updated. The host is PHENOMENAL! Genuinely concerned about your stay and tries to make everything convenient and pleasant. We stayed here with our daughter and her boyfriend. Apartment is extremely well appointed! Only downsides are the space is small / a bit tight for 4 adults. 3 minute walk from rail station is a plus, but front door and entrance are kind of grim. Apartment is one flight up and SO much nicer than the entrance - do not be discouraged!!!

We liked everything, the price is good

Amazing house with lots to do. The room at the top of the spiral stairs was just a bit difficult to get into and out of, with low ceilings, and it gets warm up there. One more bathroom for that number of bedrooms could be nice... but it all worked out. It was pretty close to perfect for our family reunion. And it's great for hide and seek! We recommend it.

This house was exactly as advertised. Spacious and beautiful. Perfect for two families. Check in was easy and Jacki was very responsive.

Stayed here for 2 nights with 5 other adults - one of the best decisions! As a start, check-in was smooth. Everyone has their bed, towels which is great. Had to figure out the heater (our country is Summer all year) and Lukas was very responsive. This location is almost a straight drive to the city centre. With free parking at the location, it gave us great relief to know we won’t get penalised. Love this place! I would recommend this to others.

we have just left Howford house after a lovely 3 night weekend stay to celebrate my husbands 40th. we were a family of 14 adults, 2 children and a newborn baby and we had the most peaceful comfortable stay. the house is fantastic, it has everything you need and the location although super private and peaceful, it was near restaurants, the coop supermarket, Traquair House and land which we got discounted because we were house guests, and lots of walks and hikes. the surrounding acres were stunning with the frost and autumn leaves. we all loved our stay, the kids (and the adults) didn't want to leave. special thanks to Elaine the housekeeper who was brilliant with her communication and help. we will recommend and be back in the future.

Very conveniently located at the gateway to Glasgow, Edinburgh and Highland. Three minutes driving away from the M74 with a Tesco Superstore at walking distance. Landlord is nice and responsive. While we only stay at the ground floor (the landlord’s parents live upstairs - super nice too) all used areas including the entrance are exclusive. It has three spacious bedrooms, one dining hall, clean, tidy and classic. Well maintained and equipped with everything for a family stay. The garden is beautiful and neighboring to an amazing farm with many lovely sheep and cows. We truly loved it!

Entering this well appointed, beautiful home, there is a feeling of warmth and relaxation. The skylights bring in the natural light to the bathrooms. The Kitchen is modern and sleek, with everything you need to make a first class meal. The visually stunning, spacious backyard has a wonderful garden. There is a park just behind the house. My daily jog would lead me down to the beach. Here i would do a quick cold plunge- rejuvenating my body. The area is surrounded by a world renowned collection of golf clubs. The Longniddry golf club is a short walk and is a fun track. Thank you for being great hosts.
