Trailside Inn is located in the central Iowa town of Madrid. We are a half-hour drive from Des Moines, Ames and Ankeny. Located one block from the nearest entrance to the High Trestle Trail, it is only a short 2 ½ mile ride to the famous High Trestle Trail Bridge. The guest accommodations provides a good starting point to explore scenic Boone County including Ledges State Park, Seven Oaks Recreation for skiing and river floats, and the Boone and Scenic Valley Railroad for tourist train rides.

This secluded space is perfect on a snowy day to cuddle up, turn on the fireplace and get lost in a good book. You are sure to catch some wildlife during your stay.

My place is about two blocks from High trestle bike trail access. Centrally located between Ames and Des Moines . Our place has one or two private rooms on the upper level,good for couples.Entire upper level is yours to use along with small kitchen ,full bath - (a small nook for kids or 1 adult)We also have garage space for bikes! Just let me know in advance so I can give you a key! We share parking in the drive and also have on the street parking.

Come enjoy the country in our 1 bedroom + loft guest house! We are just a few miles south of Boone. Just down the road is the ledges state park where you can go hiking or canoeing down the river. Seven oaks ski resort is a few miles away. Honey creek golf course is close as well as the Boone race track. We have everything you need to relax or hang out with friends and family. Another similar size Airbnb is across the driveway called country cottage.

Trailside Inn - Whole House

The whole house includes two main floor bedrooms with private baths, two upstairs bedrooms with a shared bathroom, an additional main floor bathroom. The house can sleep up to nine people. Infants staying in their parents’ rooms (in a pack and play you provide) don't count toward the nine person limit.
