Escape to this peaceful private detached cabin in Bragg Creek- 30 minutes west of Calgary, 10 minutes west of the hamlet of Bragg Creek and 45-60 minutes to the mountains. A bit crooked and quirky in it's architecture :) but rustic, bright, clean and peaceful!! We are 5 minutes to the West Bragg Creek Day Park where you'll find numerous trails for walking, hiking, biking, skiing and snow-shoeing! Enjoy great dining and shopping in the hamlet- less than 10 minutes down the road by car.
“The Crooked Cabin is a beautiful and peaceful retreat! The space itself is cozy, beautiful and has everything you need for a weekend stay and longer. Kim was a great host and always made sure I had what I needed for my stay. She was very easy to reach if I have any questions. I especially liked the deck outside - great to have your morning coffee out there or an apres hike beer! The location is less than a 10 minute drive from the town of Bragg Creek. So, you're close to amenities but still feel like you're off the beaten path. The mountains and hiking trails are very accessible from Kim's place. I would highly recommend staying here and I'm already thinking about booking my next trip back!”
Beautiful rustic off-grid straw bale cabin surrounded by unspoiled nature and working ranch lands, located between Calgary and Canmore. Running water May-Oct, wood stove and old-fashioned outhouse. No indoor bathroom or shower facilities, but public facilities are available nearby. Cozy and simple with all the comforts you need. We lived in this little cabin with two toddlers for over a year while we built our house and it has everything you need to be comfortable. It is magical in the winter!
“What a wonderful retreat from the hustle and bustle! This is a wonderful cabin and beautiful property in which to enjoy your time. It was a quiet and very unique experience. Everything was so clean and charming, comfortable and cozy. Very easy to find and all communication was prompt and concise. Everything is in such wonderful condition and cared for so well. I would recommend this for single travellers, couples, and small families. Leave your sports car and laptop at home, the road may be rough but they experience is very rewarding. If you need to disconnect and take a breath this gem is for you.”
Nestled in the trees with fantastic views of Moose Mountain, our 25-foot Vintage Motor Home has all the necessary amenities to make your stay pleasant and comfortable. Only minutes from Kananaskis Country and West Bragg Creek Day Use Area, you can head out to walk, hike, or bike the trails, kick back and relax by the fire, and enjoy the sunset from your own private deck.
“This little spot is incredible. 5 stars all across the board!! The motorhome was incredibly clean & super cozy, had everything we needed & then some. Loved the decor & retro feel. & the space outside was just perfect, quiet & secluded & felt like we had our own little slice of land in such a beautiful area. Jen & Mark have thought of it all, we wanted for nothing during our stay but if we had needed anything I have no doubts they would have done what they could to provide. Seriously, just bring food & you are set! This was a fantastic Alberta staycation that was much needed, the only problem was having to leave! 2 nights wasn't enough. We did some adventuring around the area during our stay but could have easily been more than happy to stay at the motorhome for the trip, because it was completely perfect. Highly recommend this stay! PS, the outdoor shower rules. What a nice touch on top of everything else. :]”
