No required interaction unless you require something or would like some local knowledge on things to do. Our place is located in the heart of the beautiful Taurikura Bay only a stone throw from the waters edge with views of the bay. We are surrounded by beautiful bush walking trails suitable for all levels of fitness & beautiful beaches to choose from.

Head down a few steps to a quiet, sandy beach with views across the harbour to Mt Manaia - perfect for a swim at full tide, or a stroll along the beach when it’s out. We are only 75mins drive north of Auckland, 10 mins off the number one highway. The cottage is built from beautiful untreated hardwoods set in a tranquil private spot, nestled on the edge of a regenerating native forest. The cottage is only a 2min walk down to the beautiful Kaipara Harbour. Our place is part of a 25 year old 300 acre organic permaculture farm, which we were instrumental in setting up as a working farm and village style subdivision.

Comfortable self-contained cabin for 2, sitting upon a stunning private hilltop site overlooking Taurikura Bay in Whangarei Heads. Affordable peace, quiet and privacy is our aim (1 night stays available most days). Grass camping site space available (campers #3-8 will need to bring own tent/bed/linen). I can provide made up floor mattresses for guests #3-4 if you are happy to share the small cabin space. Safe ample parking available on site.
