My friend and I stayed here for a quick two-night getaway and had a great experience. The space is quiet, cozy, and super well taken care of. The view of the water from the living area is beautiful, and we spent both mornings sitting outside with coffee, and afternoons enjoying the view from the hot tub. We appreciated that the kitchen was fully stocked with all the cooking equipment we needed for nights in—and that Mary had a whole list of spots to check out for adventures out (local shops, antique spots, and really solid lobster rolls!) If you’re looking for a low-key, clean, calm place to relax, recharge, and still have easy access to town, this is a great pick. We’d absolutely come back.

The Silent Sun Cottage is a very charming & peaceful home for a getaway. Everything is modern, clean, nicely decorated, and well stocked. James & Abigail are lovely hosts that made us feel welcome and special. The best part was spending time in the back yard (back yard does not do it justice) on the hammocks or sitting with a morning coffee looking at the lake. The location is so beautiful and tranquil we didn't want to go anywhere else. Using the provided kayaks on the lake followed by a soak in the hot tub was amazing. I highly recommend a stay here & will be back in the future.

The Cottage at Blackberry River Inn was beautiful and exactly what we needed for the weekend. Breakfast was included and wonderful. This place is a gem and we will be back for sure.

Sarah's place is an absolute gem! From the beautiful views and serene atmosphere to the cozy cottage and amenities, our experience was truly special. While the weather didn't cooperate for us to use the pool, and the hot tub wasn’t available, we made the most of the sauna and spent time enjoying the rest of the property. The lake views and peaceful surroundings, made our stay unforgettable. Sarah, Anya, and the whole family were extremely welcoming and great hosts. They made sure we had everything we needed and were always quick to respond to any questions. The property offers everything you need for a relaxing getaway, and it’s conveniently close to Kent for some great outings to restaurants and shops We highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a quiet retreat with nature and serenity. We’ll definitely be back!

We loved our stay here. It was the perfect place for two of us and our dog. The home was just as described, welcoming, cosy and well equipped, and we appreciated all the local recommendations. We enjoyed local walks, the lake, and the great dog park, as well as easy access to Middletown to visit our son. Elisabeth and Daniel were fantastic hosts!

We love it here! So peaceful and relaxing. Beautiful views of the lake and loved the walks and kayaking! This was our third stay. Jasmine and Jason are great hosts. There was an issue with the Keurig, and they came and replaced it with a brand new one the next day! Thank you Jasmine and Jason for a great stay!

Cute and cozy home with lovely outdoor sitting area. Woke up to the sounds of the breeze and chirping birds! You can see the water from out the kitchen windows!

Jeanne's place was perfect for my trip to Guilford. Excellent location, close to the Green and to the water, quiet, peaceful. The house had everything I needed and more, Jeanne was super responsive and kind, and the bed was comfortable.

Gabriele's place was a great place to stay! We really liked the furnishings. When I messed up, Gabrielle was in constant touch with us so we could get everything right. She is a wonderful host

Jamie & Rose are the consummate hosts: clear communicators, friendly, helpful and supportive of their guests' (and their animals') experience. The cottage is New England cute on steroids, and super private. All was tip top, first rate for a country cottage experience. Thanks for making our experience so smooth and relaxing.

Just like the pictures , very peaceful and serene , the kitchen is well equipped. The beds are comfy. Great place to relax in the Berkshires. With a super responsive host.

Meghan's place is exactly as posted it is absolutely beautiful, cozy, comfortable and did I say beautiful? one of my favorite things to do was sit in front of the big windows and read. You have everything you can think of close, at least 4 to 6 minutes away. There are restaurants, super market and pharmacies. But if you are like me and also like to cook sometimes on vacation the kitchen was equipped with everything you need. Highly, highly recommend.

Frederick and Kelly have a great little rustic cabin right on the lake. Peaceful, quiet (a tiny bit of road noise occasionally, but overall very quiet). Frederick is super helpful and friendly. Cabin was built around 75 years ago (original builder's son left a note in the log book!), so don't expect anything ultramodern.. just a nice unassuming rustic family cabin.

Fun experience at an old school camp on a lake. Lovely screen porch overlooking the lake and Meredith has thoughtfully provided everything you need for a nice stay. Will be coming back soon!

Hands-down one of the most beautiful airbnb I’ve ever had the fortune of staying at! Every detail - from the floor mat to the picnic basket to the window placement - was perfection. The little creek and vegetal labyrinth nearby was also such a treat. Heather and Chip were very responsive and flexible. The place is pretty conveniently located, with grocery shops and restaurants within a ten-minute drive, though I would recommend checking in before it gets too dark since the house is a little hard to find.

I can’t say enough about this very special cottage! Beautifully designed and many wonderful features; I especially enjoyed hanging out on the screened porch. Would most highly recommend it for anyone looking to stay in the area!

Ina’s home, on 48 acres, is consistently highly rated, as it should be. It’s a perfect retreat for 2-3 people, secluded, but only a short drive to Litchfield. Ina kindly met us to give a 10 min tour of the property. Although not huge, the house is a congenial, inviting space, which was beautifully designed/built in the 50’s and sympathetically incorporates architectural components from a much earlier period. The setting, with several areas to sit out in, affords peace and spectacular sunsets. All said, this is a unique, magical space.

My family and myself loved every square inch of this property! From the serene views and well landscaped garden, to the sound of a stream to fall asleep to, the spotless interior and attention to detail…the pet bowls and bed, the labeled cabinets, the toiletries and games, we never wanted to leave! We last minute had to accommodate family members to be picked up later than the check out time and Michael was kind enough to extend our stay until 2pm so we could relax and enjoy more time together! We might make an annual trip out of this house and can’t thank the host enough for his immediate responses and making us feel right at home. Beautiful home, we loved sharing it! The first night we ate at the near by restaurant on the water, Housatonic House, also a recommendation on the fridge! Great food and service and BEAUTIFUL views! It ended up raining Saturday, but we still got a Hike in on our last morning at Osbornedale State Park, beautiful trails and picnic areas! Wonderful time.
