Holiday rentals with a kayak in Bruny Island

The stay at Opposum Madic was great. Communication with Mel and David were very easy and helpful. Great hosts. The location was great so kids went off to the beach with the provided beach toys and a kayak. There was everything that we needed. Outdoor seating was great too. Beds were comfortable. All bedding and towels were clean. I would like to stay here again!!

We really enjoyed staying here - it was a lovely home, in a peaceful setting, beautiful outlook, and easy to find. The whole house was very clean from the crisp white bed linen, to the very well equipped kitchen, with plenty of bathroom space, and luxurious towels. A well decorated, welcoming and extremely comfortable home away from home, including a vase of fresh flowers. We made the most of the large outdoor uncover area with BBQ & dining table, as well as the fire pit and timber swing.

Just arrived at destination to have our daughter become violently ill. So my review is a bit limited as we had to leave straight away and couldn’t go back. Trang was absolutely caring and incredible to deal with. She went above and beyond, I can’t recommend her highly enough as an Air BnB host. My heartfelt thanks Trang, our daughter has now recovered.

Ian's place is well equipped with kitchenware and and entertainment. Area was also peaceful and quiet, away from the busy road. Ian also provided clear instructions to the nearby attractions and amenities in his file.

Loved this property. It has a very relaxed vibe, stunning location. Very comfortable bedding. Plenty of living area spaces. It had all the essentials, and a heap of great DVDs! Great for kids also. Highly recommended if you're looking for a relaxing and quiet getaway.

We stayed here with out two children and had an incredible weekend. The location is absolutely stunning and the bay was safe and sheltered. After a day kayaking, swimming and fishing, it was so nice to curl infront of the wood fire with a book. A beautiful Tassie getaway!

We had a wonderful 3 night stay at Bon Marché. It is a spacious and beautiful home with lovely gardens and great amenities for kids as well, including a cubby house and trampoline. We were travelling with a 5 year old and 8 week old and found the house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The house was impeccably clean and even smelled amazing. It has top end appliances and lovely bath products. The location is great, within walking distance of Burton’s reserve and the Cygnet town centre. David is a perfect host providing detailed and clear instructions. He’s friendly and responsive. Overall this was a perfect Airbnb experience and we would recommend Bon Marché for anyone looking for a luxurious and family friendly stay in the Huon. We’d love to come back sometime for a longer visit.

We were traveling as a family group of ten and this house accommodated us so well. The location is so beautiful and we loved exploring the local region and then coming home to wander the beach each evening. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The host was friendly, responsive and helpful

A wonderful cottage to relax and enjoy an open wood fire. Beds were super comfortable. House had a very warm welcoming feeling as soon as you walked through the door. Everything you need. We loved seeing the wedge-tail eagles flying over and the smaller birds around the property.

This is a well loved family holiday home. It was like Anna had invited us to share it. The kitchen had everything we could want, with modern appliances. The furniture was both quirky and eclectic.

Picturesque home overlooking the ocean within a short coastal walk to the beach. Macy's home is styled perfectly, feeling both cosy and luxe. So many beautiful spots to sit indoors or outdoors and enjoy a glass of wine in the quiet. The house had everything we needed and I can't wait to visit again.

Tucked away in a serene, leafy setting, it felt like our own private hideaway—yet it was ideally located for exploring both Hobart and the breathtaking wilderness of Bruny Island. The cottage itself was beautifully appointed and cozy, with a fireplace that made every evening feel like a warm hug after a day of exploring. We loved waking up to birdsong and water views, and it was just a short drive to local wineries, walking trails, and the Kettering ferry. If you’re looking for a place that balances comfort, nature, and convenience, this is it. We’ll definitely be back.

It was such a wonderful place to stay, with gorgeous views from the sunroom out to the bay, and to the beach. Watching the bird life and the local seals. Great instructions from Monique and easy access to everything. Such a secluded spot that is just beautiful. Will be back for sure.

This place is just the sweetest place to stay. Sit on the balcony and watch the chooks by day and pademelons at night. Compact but everything I wanted kitchen. The coolest stairs and wood wall. Close to Woodbridge Village for brekky but also close to Birchs Bay Art Farm, Kettering and not far across to Cygnet too.
