"Anglesey House" Iconic Forbes CBD Heritage Home

"Anglesey House" a two storey, Late Victorian home built in 1884 in the CBD. A wealthy merchant from Anglesey in Wales, loaded two ships with finery that could not be obtained in Australia at the time. William Thomas built Anglesey House with it's seven marble fireplaces, cedar staircase, high and ornate ceilings and sandstone stables in the back garden. The Shed is a newly renovated and fully furnished, self-contained studio in Orange. The Shed is self-contained with a separate bathroom, cooking area, full kitchen, with an espresso machine, dishwasher, washing machine. The spacious 40 m2 studio has a large queen size bed, a big dining table, lounge, big smart TV, a big desk / office area. Also includes split system-reverse cycle air conditioner, portable heater, electric blankets and a ceiling fan to guarantee comfort all year round.

Enjoy the opportunity to relax, unwind and explore the surrounding acres, olive grove, lake or take in the mesmerising night sky. The cottage is a true combination of elegant country charms with mod cons. Pets are welcome. We just ask dogs are kept on leash outside as we have livestock.

The studio at Rose Cottage is a standalone building at the back of our 3 acre property. It is a lovely light-filled space surrounded by paddocks and apple orchards. You can expect to wake up to birdsong and feel a million miles away, while actually only being 8km from the centre of Orange. Our little family lives in the main house, 80m from the studio, and can interact with you as you wish or you can completely check out when you (self) check in!
