Waterfront holiday rentals in Câmara de Lobos

We stayed 13 nights at Fatima's. We've never had a place so clean! The accommodation is damp but Fatima makes sure that we are as comfortable as possible (spare sheets, towels in large quantities, etc.). The apartment is very well equipped, we did not lack anything. The views are splendid! Fatima and her family know how to welcome us, they are very kind and very responsive to our requests. The only negative point, but which is minimal compared to all the potential of the accommodation, is the sound insulation. The ceiling is only a floor and we can hear Fatima and her family walking if we stay in the apartment all day. The noise never woke us up or prevented us from falling asleep. We highly recommend this accommodation and now know where to stay if we have the opportunity to visit the beautiful island of Madeira again.

The accommodation was beautifully located in a very quiet location with a breathtaking view. Everything was clean and furnished with love so that you can only feel comfortable from the first moment. It had everything you need, we also loved the many kitchen utensils and the grill, which we used every day. The terrace with whirlpool, lounge, loungers and table were the highlight. We spent a lot of time in the accommodation because we felt so comfortable. Calheta beach is 5 minutes by car and highly recommended. We also found the private parking lot great. Bruno and Maria are very accommodating and also asked how we are and if we need anything. The location was perfect for us, very quiet, lots of privacy and yet we can get everywhere by car. One month stay in this attic style apartment on top floor of a 4-storey building. It is well-equipped, very well supplied and well furnished. The two excellent terraces have good furniture, lovely views and are private. The apartment is a 2-minute walk to the pedestrian promenade that leads to the Lido area and Formosa Beach and 8 minutes to the main road, bus stops and a good supermarket. Beatrice (the host) responded quickly before and during the stay and Paulo (her local agent) was welcoming - and there were also some nice welcome gifts. The internet worked well in the main living space and one of the terraces. The apartment building was generally quiet; you can hear construction noise from the nearby Dubai Madeira development - but not disturbing. The AC was not effective. Beatrice responded positively to my concerns, provided a portable fan (which helped) and has advised that new AC units will be fitted. Overall, a very good apartment and I have booked to return.

It has been sometime since I stayed in a real home-y and cosy house like Betty's. Our whole group (two families with small children ) was very pleasantly surprised by this beautifully decorated home. There were many essentials as well as some offerings by the host readily available. The location(although not very close to the historic center) is fantastic as it is possible to walk to some famous rock pools and a beach, as well as many restaurants, a mall and a supermarket. Would recommend to anyone in a heartbeat.

Very modern flat with a beautiful balcony and amazing views of the surroundings. The host answered quickly and was very friendly. Great place to stay and very close to the Airport. I would come back.

I loved my time here! I worked remotely for a week and loved everything about the location and house. They had everything you need to be comfortable. WiFi was fast. Washing machine worked well. Walking distance to wonderful restaurants, and an easy location for any tour pick ups. I would happily stay here again.

Beautiful apartment nestled in the village of Jardim Do Mar. Had it not been for finding this AirBnB, we probably would not have found the area, but thankfully we did and got to experience the peaceful and calming village. Check in was really simple and was a matter of messaging Germano once arriving at the location. Germano’s dad is on hand and was the person who checked us in - he is very friendly. The apartment is a great value to say you have an almost private pool (shared with the apartment next door). We were given a bottle of red wine, a bowl of fresh fruit and a Poncha was ordered for us at the local bar, all were nice touches and made our stay feel special. I would definitely recommend the apartment!

If you’re looking for a quiet coastal cottage in Madeira this place is perfect. The view is beautiful with restaurants right around the corner. You’re steps away from the beach and beautiful hiking trails. The house is small but well kept and was very comfortable for two guests

We felt very relaxed and comfortable at Antonio’s lovely house and the garden and views were impressive. We appreciated the interesting features in the garden with its nature feel and enjoyed the pool and sauna which we thought was a real asset for the place. The house is interesting and cared about and Antionio was an excellent and helpful host. We were glad of the car we hired to access shops, restaurants, beach and walking areas as without one would be difficult but it suited us really well as 4 adults who wanted a base from which to explore Madeira.

Everything you needed was there. The accommodation is stylish and clean. The host was always available and quick to respond.

This atypical accommodation on several floors is very beautiful and perfectly well furnished. We took advantage of the 3 outdoor spaces. Warm welcome with a nice touch on our arrival (flowers, wine, beer, water, chocolate). We were also well advised for our outings and restaurants. Note: Not easy for me to park properly in the parking space but it is possible to park in a car park down the street. We are delighted with our stay at Adriana's

The accommodation of Maria Joana and Janine was amazing! We felt welcome from the start. The area is really nice and has lots to do and restaurants to go. The best thing is that we’ve seen one the best sunsets from our own balcony and that says a lot for Madeira! During our stay we have asked Janine for tips on where to go and it was like talking to a search engine. She instantly sent us links with spot on restaurants and shops. We would definitely recommend a stay here!

The space was beautiful. We loved the decor and the large doors that brought brightness with a view of the beautiful courtyard with the pool. We were very well received by a very good host. What a nice touch! Susana also gave us several restaurant recommendations and the communication was excellent. It took 8 minutes to get to the city center. We found all the essentials to cook well. The accommodation was clean, but I can't ignore the shower. There was mold and personally, despite the scent that had been added, I found the smell of dampness and mold unpleasant. Everything else was impeccable!

The place was perfect and lived up to our expectations. Quiet neighborhood and good location. Luis was very welcoming and gave good local recommendations. We highly recommend it!

I cannot say enough good things about our stay here. The place is spectacular. Absolutely one of the best air bnb accommodations we have ever stayed at. Falling asleep to the sounds of the waves lapping up on the shore was serene. And you cannot beat the views from the upper patio. Honestly, after staying here, I don’t know how you could return to Madeira and stay anywhere else. Cristina was very responsive to any questions but the check in/check out process and entire stay was incredibly smooth and seamless. Her list of local recommendations were extremely helpful and we loved the overall location and ease of walking into town. If you’re looking for accommodations for your trip to Madeira, look no further- I don’t think anything could be better than here.

Maria’s 8th-floor apartment was perfect! Super clean, spacious, and the balcony had amazing views of the marina, Santa Catarina park, and the city. It has two bedrooms — one with a double bed, the other with two singles — both with private bathrooms and closets. There are three bathrooms total, all spotless. The kitchen had everything, plus a dishwasher and coffee machine. Laura, who welcomed us, was so kind and helpful. She messaged me before arrival, arranged parking, explained everything in the apartment, and even brought us a big bottle of water and fresh coffee capsules the next day. She also gave great local tips. The building has great security and private parking. Honestly, the whole stay was smooth and comfortable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Madeira — close to everything!

This apartment has a very good vibe! Would definitely recommend or choose again! You can watch and listen to the waves which makes it even more amazing. It is simple, pure and clean, towels were big and had a great scent. Pillows were good quality and very comfortable. There is a restaurant (and by the way very good restaurant) in the neighborhood, it’s not disturbing, there’s no music or shouting but there is some business in the evening until guests leave around 9pm.

Iri’s place was absolutely breathtaking taking!! The view from the balcony was outstanding! You can see the beach. Her place has a washer drier which was super convenient. iri was super friendly and helpful! She is great !!!HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

Very nice place with much more room than in a hotel. You will need some airpieces because it is in the city. So if you are not used to city noises that helps. Big bathroom, big sleeping rooms a big livingroom and practical kitchen. A nice bakery right next to the apartment and very easy to walk to points of interest in the city.

The host was incredibly helpful and friendly, sent us many local restaurant recommendations, very responsive. Totally recommend booking this place on your next trip!

Can’t recommend enough. Clean, fantastic space, great location. Marina really helpful and always responsive. Well equipped kitchen with everything for meals in but equally a 10 minute drive into Funchal. The view from the apartment is beautiful and the location means everything is easily accessible. Supermarket across the road. We didn’t hire a car because the location was so great.

We had a great time at Miguel and Ana’s place. They have a beautiful condo close to the sea and with a lovely balcony and view. Very spacious and a nice location. Overall, loved it!

We booked a room with a view and boy did we get a room with a view. With that view and the cleanliness of the room you hardly have to go outside to have a great vacation. But if you don’t want to do that you can also walk to the city center and the boulevard. If you rented a car you get plenty of private and free parking (even with a cat!). The host was a big help and made everything very easy. We are really happy with our stay and can recommend it to everyone!
