We really enjoyed our stay at Tue’s house. It is a great size with good bedrooms and plenty of living space. Ideal for our family of 7. The house is well equipped with plenty to do - swimming pool, bikes, pool table, large garden etc. The local area is very quiet with a good beach and some nice local walks. The weather wasn’t great while we were there, which was unfortunate and meant we couldn’t make full use of the pool etc. but it was great on the sunny days. It could perhaps be improved with some soft covers for the sun beds and maybe another sun umbrella. All in all though we had a great stay.

I want to thank Dona Susana for the wonderful welcome, we literally felt at home. We will definitely be back and I recommend it to everyone who wants to have a moment of peace and relaxation. Thanks to Dona Susana and Mr. Tomás.

Our stay was wonderful! The house was exactly as in the photos: clean, cozy and very well equipped. The bed was super comfortable, and there was everything we needed to feel at home — from kitchen utensils to small details like coffee and tea available. The location was also perfect and the host was extremely attentive and always responded very quickly to our messages, giving good recommendations about the area and ensuring that everything went well during our stay. We definitely recommend this Airbnb and would stay here again on a future visit!

We had such a good time. We loved the villa, WIFI was excellent, surroundings were so peaceful. House was very clean and the staff were very attentive. Couldn’t fault our stay, would recommend this place to anyone. Also love Bull the dog, very friendly! Thanks again!

We travelled in a group of 5 , 2 couples +1 adult. The host living in the next house seems only speak Portuguese but very friendly. You can write in English via messaging apps. Communication was not an issue at all

Five stars to Casa de Cardido and to Rui and Alexandra for being wonderful hosts. We were a little late checking in, but Rui greeted us with a smile and a very generous tabua of local cheeses and meats. The hosts go above anything expected, with a sound system at the pool, exercise equipment, and fresh bread delivered daily. The house is a traditional Portuguese home - and it feels like a “home” not a rental. We spent two weeks here and it felt like staying with family. I noticed that one review commented on how close the highway is. Please know this is not a problem. You can see the highway when approaching the home from the road, but you cannot hear it and it does not interfere with the experience. This is very high quality stay with caring and involved hosts that will make sure you have all you need. I highly recommend.

Excellent stay!!! The space was super clean and airy. The fireplace gave a special touch to the place. Susana always responds quickly and is always kind. Dna. Maria received us with great kindness. Special treats awaited us. Everything was perfect.

We were with family and the stay was warm and peaceful. I recommend the location, the house is wonderful and the neighbors are very friendly. It is important, however, to inform that it is necessary to have a vehicle and clarify more clearly that access to them can be challenging , depending on which one it is. The entrance to the house is complicated, because for those who arrive at night is not illuminated and access to the self check in vault is not accessible to outsiders. One of the rooms is more difficult to access, ideal for younger people, but not for visitors with more limitations. Despite the recommendations for improvement, we emphasize the tranquility, the incredible landscape, and the comfort of the house, which is thought in detail. Let's go back! Thank you

Beautiful house in pittoresque village. Fully renovated and well equipped. Fantastic base for many hikes and trailruns. We enjoyed it a lot!

This has probably been the been AirBnB I have ever stayed in. The new house built on top of an ancient mill is really special and very welcoming with great attention to detail, the host was extremely welcoming and attentive to our requests and the location of the house allowed both for sightseeing in Guimaraes and Braga, as well as for excursions to the mountains and the sea side. We stayed for a week and the longer we stayed the more we appreciated our living environment in the middle of a flowing river stream.

I highly recommend this place to stay. Super clean and with all the amenities. The quality/price ratio is fantastic. The location is quite good and the fact that it has private parking makes this place perfect for the stay. It's never been easier to check in and out. Mariana is super friendly and attentive, which makes the whole process simpler. I will certainly return ☺️

We had a fabulous stay at Josés property. The space was beautifully designed, it had a very zen feel. We felt so relaxed there. It was a perfect spot for visiting Guimarães and Jose was very thorough when we met him, telling us all about his property and the local area. Would highly recommend and would have loved to have stayed longer

Incredible place - serenity on a mountainside. We had the pleasure of staying at Tiago's place as the surrounding forest turned orange in line with the season Tiago went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of, can only recommend this place

A lovely secure complex and property in a beautiful area. Condo was well furnished & equipped with a great shower. A stunning outlook to enjoy and relax to. A car is a must to explore the surrounding area, but with this lots to do in and around. Jose was always very responsive and helpful which is appreciated. Thank you for giving us a lovely holiday and wonderful memories.

We had a wonderful stay. The house was in a great location with beautiful views of the mountain and the river and it had great facilities . We were five mins away from the river and all the water sports etc. Micael was very responsive and very flexible with the check in and the check out which was a great help.

Perfect for a private peaceful getway! It is located is a small village, but still very quiet. The view is amazing and the place is comfortable and full of light! We walked 2 minutes down the to swim in the river every morning. The owner is very responsive and aways helpful.

What a WONDERFUL stay at this charming farmhouse! From the moment we arrived it was perfect! The property is so beautiful with its lovely gardens, fruit trees & the view of the mountains. We spent the majority of our time, when we were not out exploring, enjoying the pool & having all our dinners outside under the covered outdoor grilling area. We took advantage of the grill & enjoying pizza (yes, there is a fabulous pizza oven!). The house was so comfortable, clean & the kitchen had everything we needed & more. Carlos & Christina are stunning hosts....so kind & friendly & gave us so many suggestions of what to do in the area...restaurants, villages, waterfalls, etc. We CAN'T WAIT to return! Obrigada for a wonderful stay! (note - if you are driving be mindful as directly accessing the property can be tight if you have a larger car)

This was one of the most breathtaking views I’ve ever had at an Airbnb. The scenery was stunning, and the setting felt wonderfully secluded yet still just 15 minutes from the nearest supermarket (via a charming, winding road). The house was very comfortable and included a lovely pool — a perfect spot to unwind and take in the beauty around. Highly recommended for a peaceful getaway.

Fantastic property. House itself is immaculate, exactly as represented in the photos. However outdoor area is where to spend your time. Amazing pool area, outdoor kitchen / BBQ, massive table under pergola to laze the hot days away, and spend every evening cooking, eating and just having a good time. We survived the ‘great Spain and Portugal power outage’ while there, and it was probably our best night - BBQ, candles !. Max 15-20 minutes into Geres National Park for stellar hiking. Cannot recommend this property more 👍👍

The stay at the house was wonderful and unforgettable! The house is very special, large, comfortable and with everything very good taste!! Sounds like a movie. The view is spectacular, the pool and the entire leisure area in the river is very good. Communication with the host was very quiet. I highly recommend it!
