Bungalow holiday rentals in Cape Cod Bay

My sisters and I were looking for somewhere local to get away for a couple of days and we stumbled upon Johanna's Airbnb. We stayed in the Mayflower bungalow which was perfect for the 3 of us! It was adorable, clean and had EVERYTHING we needed and more. Johanna also provides chairs and a beach cart which came in so handy. The beach is just a short walk from the bungalow and the cart made it super easy to get there in one trip. We met Johanna on the beach, and she was wonderful! She gave us lots of recommendations to local restaurants and other ideas we hadn't thought of! We are already planning to go back to this hidden gem next year!

I want to thank you Gail for letting me use your family’s cottage. We had a very good time other than it rained the whole time..Beautiful place only thing if you want privacy make sure you plan accordingly.I love this cottage I will definitely return or pass the word on. Beautiful cathedral ceilings all nice wood work barn board the bed rooms ceilings only go half way up and is open it is a older cottage that was the beauty of it. So it is like being on the original cape in a cozy cottage before they started putting up all new houses had a great time everything is fully stocked in kitchen.. I will definitely be returning next year.. Thank you again…

We enjoyed every minute of our stay! The bungalow is perfect - well maintained, plenty of space, a well stocked kitchen and comfortable beds. It felt like a true home away from home. Rosemary was incredible - gracious, helpful and very communicative with us. Thank you Rosemary! We hope to be back!

We loved staying here! The bungalow was nicely decorated, super clean and a short walk to the beach. We were pleasantly surprised by the attention to detail as wel when we discovered the beach chairs and umbrella! We want to come back next summer! 10/10!

My guests and I absolutely loved our stay. the beach was perfect and just a short walk. the kitchen was so clean and had just enough supplies to cook a few small meals. definitely saving this place and I will be back!

Loved staying here with my 2 & 4 year old. Easy walk to the beach, convenient to plenty of stores, the house itself is spacious and clean. It had everything we needed to cook and store food. The neighborhood is very safe. We met Johanna and she was lovely. We will book here again!

We had a wonderful stay. The setting is unbeatable—so beautiful. The home offers plenty of room for guests. The screened in porch was everyone’s favorite room!

We enjoyed staying at Paul’s place! Super clean, quiet, and easy entry, with a grocery store, public transportation and a Dunkin’ Donuts (among other stores) nearby. Also enjoyed two fantastic meals at a restaurant that Paul recommended (Il Cásala) (house-made pasta; perfectly cooked salmon; flavorful bolognese, et al. )—and a lovely stroll through a peaceful and picturesque park with a bridge and babbling brook just around the corner and a few hundred feet away. Hot shower with great water pressure. Paul was very responsive, too! Thanks, Paul!

This is one of the best places in the world. I have never been in a more special house. Dawn keeps the charm and beauty of this eccentric maximalist house, while accommodating a variety of functions. Ideal for a large group, the kitchen is large with many cooking utensils (bring your own oil/spices and food!) There are so many beautiful gardens with so much magic to explore just walking around the lawn. The beach is a 3 minute walk down the road, then many stairs to a pristine beach, private to the houses on the street. If you are a group who loves nature, whimsy and beauty, I could not recommend staying here enough.

Thanks for your hospitality and for letting us use your home. The details around your home, your gardens and everything you provided to make our stay so comfortable are deeply appreciated. This place was perfect for our trip to Newport! It was walkable to a few places and everything we wanted to see was within a 10 min drive! Parking was very easy and we will definitely have to come back and stay here again!

I rented Ben’s place for a 5-week work project, and it couldn’t have worked out better. The home was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described—perfect for an extended stay. Communication with Ben was easy and prompt throughout, and he was very accommodating to our schedule. The location was convenient for our job site, and everything we needed for a smooth, productive stay was right there. I’d absolutely recommend this place to anyone, whether for work or vacation. My husband and I loved our week long stay at this cozy cape cod cottage. It had everything we needed - perfect outdoor patio, a clean grill for summer cooking, we used the outdoor shower everyday, a great yard for our dog. The kitchen was perfectly stocked - there were hot plates for cooking, a coffee machine etc. The neighborhood is very quaint and quiet and set back perfectly behind the main road. The house is close to great restaurants, ice cream, downtown and a short ride to Red River Beach. Location was ideal- not far from other great towns to explore like Chatham, Brewster, Yarmouth. My sister joined us for a few nights and it never felt crowded. We were sad to leave, but are looking forward to rebooking next year!
