Me and my friends loved this BNB!! The hot tub was amazing and the pool was an awesome addition. Instructions were clear and even called to walk me through everything. Plenty of places to sleep and loads of places to go!

The house was perfect for us. Very clean and organized. Great host always responded in a timely manner. Was only about a 30 to 40 minute drive to Acadia National Park & Bar harbor, depending on traffic it could take longer. If we ever make it back to Maine I would definitely stay at the Higgins Retreat again. Thanks again Richard & Tina.

this was the 3rd time our family has stayed,again we had a fantastic time! We chose to return due to the great space, a fabulous indoor pool, great kitchen and an amazing view. Great attention to details, comfortable for large families or groups and peaceful for just 2.

We felt like at home. The house is located in a private property with swimming pool and tennis courts. It’s very clean and very peaceful. Just a clarification about the description : there’s no bathroom in the basement. Then if you come with elderly people or very young kids, it could be annoying. If you like cooking, the kitchen is very well equipped. We´ll keep a very good memory of our stay in Ducktrap Retreat during the colorful foliage season.

Booked this place for our anniversary to get away from the city for a weekend.. we found exactly what we were looking for! The hot tub was wonderful, the house was clean and cute, and we had everything we could have needed! Estelle was very responsive and gave clear instructions for everything. Would recommend this place for a quiet getaway or a small group trip in the summer!

My return visit to the Boathouse was even lovelier than I hoped it would be. The location can't be matched by anything else I've seen. I enjoyed a September visit with my dog and was lucky to have pristine weather. I lived a very simple and healthy outdoors life and came home the better for it. The Boathouse is true to its description: it is simple and rustic and uncomplicated but well-equipped, and is perfect for one-and-dog, or for two people. A little coming-and-going from the neighboring houses meant that I didn't feel isolated. Margaret is truly an exceptional and friendly host who communicates promptly and clearly. I almost hesitate to share "my" Boathouse location with too many of my back-home friends because it feels so intimate and special. I already want to be back there. I offer my deep thanks to Margaret and to the place that I could - briefly - call home.

I recently stayed with my family at this incredible Airbnb that exceeded all my expectations. This property offered a hot tub, a pool table, and a level of privacy and tranquility that made for a truly relaxing getaway. One of the highlights of our stay was being able to watch the northern lights from the hot tub – it was absolutely magical. We spent a week in Acadia, and the location was perfect, just 15-20 minutes from Bar Harbor or the nearest town. The hosts were very responsive, and the place was fantastic for families, being both kid and pet friendly. It was a week filled with unforgettable moments, and I can't recommend this place enough!

We very much enjoyed our stay here. The hosts couldn’t have been any nicer. We loved the space was perfect for our needs. It was close to all that we needed but nice and quiet. The extra touches in the house like fresh flowers were lovely. Highly recommend this place.

We had an incredible stay at the Blue Hill Bay house! Nestled in a peaceful wooded setting, the home feels wonderfully secluded, yet inviting. The expansive windows, especially from the top floor loft, make you feel like you’re living in a treehouse. We loved spending evenings around the fire pit, which is surrounded by thoughtfully curated plants, creating a truly magical atmosphere. The grill was easy to use, making outdoor meals a breeze. Inside, the beds were comfortable and the bathrooms spotless. We also appreciated how thoughtfully designed the space was, especially since it's hard to find a cute place that also warmly welcomes dogs. If you’re considering a stay here, don’t hesitate, this place is a gem! We can’t wait to return.

Simply magical! Cozy and fun space. We enjoyed watching eagles and ospreys fish, seals pop their heads up, and even an adorable family of foxes from the comfort of the living room! Kitchen had all necessities for cooking most meals at home. A nice trail for walking down the road and an awesome beach where the kids threw stones and searched for seaglass each afternoon. We were all sad to leave!

The cottage was beautiful, I loved the artwork and light fixtures. The small details made Babettes home lovely and peaceful. I enjoyed watching the deer in the back meadow in the evenings and was most appreciative that my pup was welcomed there as well. I highly recommend if you tee looking for a quite get away

We loved our three nights at Seabank. The house was comfortable and immaculate, the kitchen well equipped, and the location—overlooking tidal Goose Bay with views toward Mount Desert Island—could not have been more tranquil (plus an easy 20-minute drive to Acadia/Bar Harbor). Robard was a terrific host, quick to answer our questions, and even lending a hand to ensure that we were able to check in early. We lucked into gorgeous weather and spent lots of time outdoors, reading on the deck, kayaking in the bay at high tide, and relaxing around the fire pit.

First of all the Wonky Donkey is a hilarious name The host was extremely helpful right away by giving good detail on how to find the place, allowing early checkin (saved us as we were able to nap after redeyes, before my brother's graduation), and giving clear info on how to enter We loved seeing the animals outside, and my family absolutely loved how spacious and clean the inside of the home was. The heaters came in clutch for this cold weather we're not used to, and we appreciated getting to use the kitchen and relax in the big living room area Finally, not having to follow a list of demands by the host is awesome in this day and age of Airbnb. We got to leave without worrying about how to do the laundry, where to throw trash away, washing dishes, etc We highly recommend this place if you need to stay in the area!

The home was so cozy with comfy beds. A beautiful beach around the corner and close to stores but very private and beautiful. Thank you for allowing our dog to enjoy our get a way as well!! He loved the treats and hidden toys❤️

We absolutely loved our stay at Lupine Landing. It was wonderful to be right on the water, especially with access to a beach and kayaks. The house was perfect for the two of us and our small dog, and had everything we needed: pantry staples, beach towels, sunscreen. The bathrooms seemed to have been recently updated which was also a great surprise. We would definitely recommend staying here and look forward to our next trip to LDI!

An absolute dream of a stay! The pictures and description do not do this house justice. My friends and I were in awe when we opened the door. You could tell that every section of the house had the thought put into the comfort of whoever stays in the house. My friends and I were visiting Acadia but decided to stay a little further out in Brooklin. The drive to Acadia isn't bad...it's about 50 minutes to an hour to get to the visitor's center. We didn't mind driving. The view from the house was great in the morning. I slept with the blinds open to be awaken by the beauty of the view. The kitchen had everything we needed to make breakfast and coffee before we headed out for the day. The bathrooms were huge and very clean. There is a catwalk that connects the two top bedrooms...SO COOL! Jen and Steve messaged me many recommendations in the area. I had a question about an area to explore and Jen and Steve responded within minutes with great suggestions. This is a dream house!

There’s not enough words to say how wonderful Alana was from the initial booking to check out. We have booked a lot of Airbnb’s and this is our all time favorite. The location is amazing with the water view. I was so excited about the decor I spent an hour sending pictures to my daughter. We really loved the history behind the house too. This is our new go-to everytime we visit the area. Thank you for sharing such an incredible home!

Beauty by the sea! Thia rental in Stockton Springs turned out to be a gem. We spent most of our time out on the confortable deck enjoying the view. There is a private little rock beach out front that can be walk along when the tide is low. We loved the house, it had everything we needed for a mother-daughter crew of 4. The rental was in close proximity to several state parks which we explored when it wasn't raining. Will stay again.

The Barn Owl is a truly lovely and comfortable renovated carriage house with rustic charm and contemporary amenities—an architectural delight. The home’s quiet and secluded wooded setting is just minutes away from numerous restaurants, shops and art galleries that Blue Hill is known for. What a beautiful hidden gem this lake house is! Nestled into the Maine forest on the edge of the peaceful lake, it was a perfect spot for a relaxed reunion for two families. As we have small children, I appreciated that the water isn't too close to the house but still accessible via stairs. Travis and Laura were excellent hosts and had the house stocked with everything we could need for a wonderful stay!

Kristine’s cabin was perfect for my parents’ visit. It was very clean and a beautifully, well-maintained house. They felt very comfortable there. It was helpful to be able to adjust the temperature because my parents get cold. It was nice that there were same games and puzzles available. The view on the lake was beautiful. The bathroom was clean and spacious! Kristine is very responsive to messages.

This was a great little cottage in a quiet area, fantastic for a relaxing getaway. Joanne was always helpful and very responsive!
