In the 18th century the tower was reconstructed as a ‘folly’, characteristic of the period. We are proud to say that our family has supported this heritage for more than 215 years. Bathroom with spacious shower. Kitchen with cooking hob, fridge, free Nespresso coffee and tea. Wi-Fi. The dike is about fifty meters from the studio. A maximum of 3 adults is allowed. I work with a key box. I do not offer any extra services. No TV.

Wake up with a pristine wide view of the drowned meadows (Meersen) and fields; changing to the rhythm of the seasons. Enjoy the spectacle of the fluttering singing skylark, the happy chirping of swallows as night falls. Lie down on the jetty, get into the boat to just float on the natural pond. Hike, bike, swim or just do nothing.

Cottage and meadow

It's a very quiet place, close to nature, in the middle of the "Monts des Flandres". Rest, hiking or sightseeing: everyone will find it's own. Near Belgium: Ypres (WW1 commemorations) at 30 min. The house is in the heart of nature: in the middle of a meadow, close to tall trees and a water point. A peaceful, relaxing place. An ideal base for hikes or to more touristic sites. On request, breakfast: 13 euros/person.

Nestled in the heart of West Flanders hinterland and the coastal polders at 15 km from the sea, our holiday home is perfectly located for a weekend or a midweek holiday. Our place is cozy and rural located, in the vicinity of endless cycling and hiking trails and wide views. There is room for 2 to 4 people. You can fully enjoy our small farm and enjoy the many delicacies from our kitchen garden and orchard.
