Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Cerro de Oro

Our three night stay at the Glass House was fabulous...beyond words really. It is now our favorite Airbnb in the world! I intentionally chose our stay during April's full moon which created an even more magical experience at the Glass House. We actually had no idea that the view would be so amazing - gazing over Lake Atitlan with views of 3 volcanoes perfectly in the middle of our gaze. The space was absolutely perfect. Accommodations stylish and modern, with amazing interiors and furniture designed by the owners. Loved the fact that the location is so unique and private. One must travel by boat to the property's private dock to access the house. Venturing out to other lakeside pueblos is a quick and inexpensive boat ride away - where a boat taxi can pick you at the dock...you just have to wave a flag for them to come get you. We enjoyed preparing meals in the amazing kitchen overlooking the Lago. So impressive! I could go on and on. If you are lucky to stay here- do not hesitate!

This place is pure calm and magic. The permaculture project is also inspiring. Thank you to share this wonderful heaven :)

Where can I start! I’ve have travel to over 18 countries and let me just say this has to be one of the best properties I ever stayed in. The staff is really friendly attentive! Since the moment I arrived at the lake I was very impressed but once I got to the airbnb I was left speechless. Once I arrived Miguel was outside waiting for me to take my bags. He gave me all the information I needed the house and the pueblito including a tuk tuk driver which was amazing and every time I wrote him he would pick us up in no time. Now, the house… where can I begin ? This property is definitely one of my favorite ones I stayed in. The house looks super modern yet it goes with the vibe of the lake. All the windows that it has made it even more magical. Seeing the volcanoe from my bed at night and morning is something I will never forget. The sound of the nature in the morning was one of my favorite parts. Overall I highly recommend this property to anyone interested is totally worth it.

Blue Sky casa is absolutely beautiful. Stunning inside and out, with beautiful views of the lake and volcanoes. Stayed with my family of five and had plenty of room to enjoy our family time together. The house was super clean with nice furnishings. The kitchen was very well equipped. Overall the house was perfect for us and I would highly recommend for families, couples, groups. The location is close to the lake, about 8 minutes walking distance. You can only reach the house by climbing up steep steps, about 30 of them so you should be prepared for that. It was worth it for us and not a problem but it definitely would be difficult for some. Beds were super comfortable and the bathrooms were nice. Would love to stay again in the future.

We loved our stay! We always felt at home and very safe. The private dock and beautiful home was worth every penny. Its a 20ish minute walk to either town (we usually went to San Marcos) but tuktuks and boats are easy to find if not up for the trek. Eric was a wonderful host and always easy to reach, and Clara was so kind and sweet presence to have around the house and property. Thanks Eric and Clara!

What a great place... the views, the lake, and the greenery all around. This Airbnb is slightly off the main road but very walkable with a cool little shortcut down by the lake that gets you access to the heart of San Marcos in no time. Augustus and his partner were the best hosts I've ever encountered on Airbnb. They left a present of homemade kombucha (using harvested fruits form the garden) in the fridge, offered to light up the sauna, and allowed us to use their paddleboards during our stay. He gave us personal recommendations for food, drinks, and numbers to cab which made our stay 1000 times easier. This stay may not be for the less active/ luxury seeking travelers, but it's the perfect spot for anyone who wants to relax, take in some nature, and get in touch with some locals and the outdoors. Thank you Augustus for all of your generosity and the perfect chance to unwind and enjoy what Guatemala has to offer. 🙏🏻

Beautiful place! Exactly the same as in the pictures. The location is prime—right next to the Santa Catalina Arch—and it's within walking distance to great restaurants and all the attractions. The patio is the gem of the house. The staff was always so friendly and helpful, which made our stay even better. If you're thinking of going to Antigua, I highly recommend staying here. You'll love it as much as we did.

Great spot, close to everything and has all the amenities you would want. Doesn’t have a/c but they do provide fans. Such a lovely little spot and so close to everything. Would stay again!

Jenny and Clemens’s place is truly magical and an ideal spot for first-timers visiting Lake Atitlán. We instantly fell in love with the stunning views and the peaceful atmosphere during our two-day stay. From the start, Jenny and Clemens were incredibly welcoming and responsive. They helped us arrange roundtrip shuttle service from Antigua and even organized a private lancha to reach their home, making everything so easy. Thanks to their great location, we could walk to nearby spots like Casa del Mundo, Isla Verde, and even take a cooking class in Santa Cruz. Getting around by public lanchas were also simple. Just flag one down at the dock, and the drivers know exactly where to drop you off on your return.

C’était génial. La vue était magnifique et le balcon est génial. Le seul point à prendre en considération est le fait que le logement est à 35 min à pied du centre de San Pedro ou 10 min en tuk tuk!

Fue una estadía excelente! El lugar es tranquilo y sin mucho ruido ya que no está dentro del casco principal de la ciudad, sin estar muy lejos del centro, a solo 7 min a pie del mercado de artesanías y 15-20 del parque central. Además, la atención al detalle en el apartamento es increíble! Una botella de vino para recibirnos, leña en las chimeneas, luces adornando el patio y la cocina equipada con todo lo necesario (incluyendo un buen café). Nos hospedamos solamente 2 adultos y el espacio fue ideal para una pareja, considero que cabrían otras 2 personas ya que cuentan con una cama extra, solo que un poco más apretados. Las fotos del anuncio son fieles a la realidad, con cedazo en ventanas y cuidados varios para mejorar la experiencia. La atención fue amable y veloz aunque no muy flexible, lo cual se entiende por el cuidado que le dan al lugar, solo no sería la opción si buscan un check-in/out diferente al del anuncio. All and all, volvería siempre, una experiencia única :)

Everyone was so helpful on the property. Israel especially. He went out to get us pizza one night, coffee, etc. and was a huge help in case there was ever a need. The hike up was intense, so make sure you're prepared for that, but I promise when you reach the top it is soooo worth it. The views were stunning. We had a great time here.

What a beautiful home with a truly wonderful staff! We absolutely love staying here. Susy is an incredible cook, and Samuel, the groundskeeper, is always so attentive and kind. The bedrooms are comfortable, and the multiple bathrooms throughout the house make it perfect for our large group of 20. Staying with Eric and his team is always a pleasure. We can’t recommend it enough!

Great stay. Two families each with two kids and plenty of beds and space for kids to run around. We hired a local chef, Juan Carlos, to cook dinners, which really turned the trip into a vacation. Plenty of coffee shops, restaurants, etc within 5 min walk. Mariano, caretaker, met us at dock to help carry luggage to the house. Temescal was very relaxing at night and we loved hearing the birds and wildlife scurry around. We had some cloudy weather so pool/jacuzzi wasn't warm, but we cant change the weather! 100% recommend.

Everything was as advertised and Daniel went above and beyond with his staff in accommodating us, helping us cross the lake, and also having staff with cleaning up around the house as we were away sightseeing. You get everything you pay for and more. Highly recommend.

Michael and local keeper Lucas were very helpful and responsive and made our visit very welcoming and smooth. Mich's wealth of knowledge about the locality and region was quite helpful or us and made our visit so much better. This place lets you experience the local and rustic nature of a Guatemalan village, with being private at the same time. We stayed there for two days and had a peaceful and incredible stay. Just watching the late-noon showers or listening to the late-evening ambient sounds of a tropical environment from the balcony are so much of a joy. We also enjoyed going through all the great books on Mayan civilization too. I think this place does the job better than any eco-resort. It is very convenient to go town-hopping around the late from the local ferry dock. The village also has a very quaint restaurant called 'Tres Tonnedores' where the food was excellent and service quite humble. I would definitely stay here if and when I visit Lake Atitlan again.

Amazing getaway. Incredible house and surrounding property. Stunning views and easy boat transport from the dock down by the private lakefront beach. Boat shuttles during the day to and from nearby Panajachel are included. Host and groundskeeper were very helpful in coordinating boat rides. Kitchen fully equipped - we cooked dinner for 3 nights.

Regresaría !!!!! El lugar es espectacular las Fotos y video se quedan cortos. Los anfitriones excelentes. Un 100/100 por la Limpieza, la villa estaba impecable. Vale La pena cada centavo que pagamos.
