Wow, great accommodation, very relaxing. Nothing is missing. The rooms are spacious and well furnished/equipped. The accommodation is clean. We just had to drop off our luggage and enjoy this stay. The owners are available, helpful and very kind. Recommended

great place, very welcoming

We had an excellent short stay at Mary's place. It is surrounded by beautiful countryside in a very quiet part of France where the Limousin region meets that of the Dordogne. Highlights were the wonderful bakery in nearby Piegut-Pluviers, and visits to Brantome (a magnificent setting on the river) and St-Jean-de-Cole a beautifully preserved village. Mary was helpful and friendly and there is a long list of restaurants and outings at the property.

Absolutely loved our stay at the 'Farm house '..... beautiful surroundings, enveloped in a gorgeous sense of French countryside...loved hearing the rural sounds, brought a real sense of contentment. Claire was the perfect host, dealt with any issues immediately and when I needed to change my hire car booking, she was able to assist with the French speaking agent. Offered heaps of suggestions of places to see and specific restaurants to visit. We would go back again in a heartbeat. thanks Claire and team.

Very nice discovery for us that this accommodation is in the heart of an equestrian center. The place is peaceful and relaxing, in the heart of the Périgord forest, many walks of all durations are accessible on foot and suitable for children (the simple tour of the center through the forest is very good for younger children). The view of the decorations and the forest from the cottage is stunning. Muriel is a welcoming host, caring about the comfort of her guests. And of course it is possible to practice horseback riding, our children were able to do an introductory session with a walk in the forest with a competent and attentive instructor. We will definitely be back for a longer stay!

Armand and Stéphanie were fabulous, friendly and considerate hosts. The location is great and peaceful, a magnificent restoration work has been done. A plus for the beautiful jacuzzi that we could not use for weather reasons, but it's only a matter of time. You can go there with your eyes closed (not too much because you have to look at the road), you will not be disappointed.

An amazing property in a peaceful location. Erica and Dave welcomed us and made us feel at home immediately and were on hand for any help we needed. The renovations are to a high standard and make for a comfortable and well appointed stay. The pool is massive. The covered outdoor areas are great for when the weather isn't behaving itself and the hot-tub is perfect to relax in. Plenty of towns and villages to explore nearby, with La Rochelle and Bordeaux not too far away. Lots of "vide-greniers' in the area to visit on a Sunday when most other things are closed.

Very good stay in this beautiful and AUTHENTIC family home with undeniable charm. We were 4 adults and 2 children 3/4 years old: the children loved playing in the sandpit/bocce court in the garden and the educational farm nearby, we adults we loved the large friendly kitchen and the masterful bathroom with views of the countryside. Small bonus for dishes: what a pleasure to eat on cute vintage plates! The house is very old, so it was a little wet when we arrived (no surprise given the season) but once the fireplace started and the house ventilated, everything was normal. Alfie and I had a great time at Lee's immaculate courtyard cottage while house hunting in the area. Communication was excellent from beginning to end. A lovely, cosy place and a much appreciated and unexpected tipple awaited us after a long drive, which was very welcome! Nothing was too much trouble. The quality of decor and bed linen is first class. We are looking forward to our next stay again soon. Highly recommended.

We were met by his beautiful dogs on arrival making us feeling immediately welcome, followed by Gideon who welcomed us like we were part of the family. Gideon and his wife couldn’t have done enough, always being around for a chat, or just for a quick wave and smile. This truly is the most peaceful and beautiful setting to escape the reality of city life. The house its self was beautiful with vaulted ceilings and exposed original brick, they have got the perfect balance of rustics and contemporary. We couldn’t fault a thing and whoever gets to stay here next, is sure to love it just as much as we did!

We had a nice short stay at Frances. Everything was as described, clean and tidy. It's a really cosy place.

We had a fantastic week at La Gigon, so peaceful and relaxing, it had all we needed and more. Our 3 kids (6-9 years) had a ball in the pool and using all the games room had to offer. Judy was friendly and easy to communicate with and Jackie her property manager was welcoming and lovely. I highly recommend La Gigon and would love to return in the future.

Lovely place for a family holiday! They have great amenities like the heated pool, hot tub, ping pong table, badminton and a free tennis court. We spent 7 days a 6 nights there with 6 people and our little dog and really would recommend this to anyone who’s looking for a quiet, peaceful holiday in the south of France.

Great host and our stay at the cottage was peaceful and relaxing

The location was convenient for walking into the little village of Cubjac with many surrounding towns within an hours drive. The kitchen had all of the amenities we needed which was perfect as we cooked most of our meals at the house. We also appreciated the charcoal grill. The property was absolutely stunning. We were in awe of the main house as we drove up the driveway. We enjoyed walking around the garden and on the trails in the surrounding woods. The bed was comfortable and the dining room, living room, and outdoor seating was perfect for 2 couples. The bathrooms were clean and the water pressure was good for showers. We did learn that you won’t get hot water if you try to shower while the dishwasher is running. 😂 Communication with Catherine and Maxence was great. They were always responsive and Maxence very insightfully helped us plan our itineraries for several day trips including markets, wineries, hikes, and gardens.
